Thank you for taking us along on your eclipse trip. I was just west of where you were in Russellville, Arkansas. I viewed it with a friend out at Lake Dardanelle SP and then wandered the slow route home and camped 2 more nights in the minivan. Yes I topped off my tank the day before the eclipse, but I really did not feel there would be any shortage of gas. The traffic on my way back north was almost nonexistent... so much for listening to the news. Iceland or Spain either one would be a wonderful place to view an eclipse. Thank you again for documenting your experience. Safe travels.
I have been so lucky that I saw the 1999 Solar Eclipse in Belgium 11 august 1999 on my birthday..... I will never forget it.
Sounds great!
Hello Russo's I was near Temple Tx. I have waiting for this eclipse since 1968. It was a great experience.
So cool you got to see it after all these years!
Wow what a great event you got to partake in. ❤
Sheila and I can not wait to have more time to join in on such gatherings. Thank you so much for sharing… 👍🏽
You're so welcome and look forward to seeing you at one!
I was right in the center line of totality near Cleveland. The temp drop was a bit shocking and the Prominences could be seen with the naked eyes during totality. The heavens declare the glory of God! Looks like you all had a fabulous time. Those pies looked Awesome!
We had an awesome time and the pies were incredible.
Oh, my! What fun! My husband and I wish we were with you! But we don't have a van or even a mini van! 😆 We saw the total eclipse in our front yard in northeast Ohio! Absolutely amazing!!
Well don't let not having a van stop you. You can always fly in somewhere and rent or even grab a hotel and come for the day to join the fun.
Sounds like a lot of fun!! Great idea! Thanks! Love your channel and have your books!! Stay safe!
Will do - thank you Kathleen
So fun to hang out and glad the weather stayed great!!! Hope to cross paths on an upcoming bourbon area :)
Looking forward to it 🥃
Glad to see you had clear skys. Looked like a great time. We boondocked in Hoosier National Forest and also had clear skys and was an amazing experience.
Were you at Buzzards Roost?
@@Weretherussos we were at Blackwell Horse Camp in the Deam Wilderness area.
Wife and I watched full eclipes in Akron Ohio, stunning !!!
That it was!
We caught the 2017 eclipse, about a 15 mile drive for us to experience totality. Definitely worth it, would have loved to catch the 2024 but "the stars didn't align" to make that happen 😅
We saw the total 2024 eclipse from Abbot Maine, just south of Moosehead Lake. Totally clear skies!
Awesome!
My mom and step dad are retired and live in the gulf of Texas in Harlingen, so I flew down on Easter from Portland, Oregon. Worked remote for a week and then we drove up to Fredericksburg, a bit north of San Antonio, to be in the path of totality. It was SO worth it. It was like experiencing a 24 hour day in 4 & half minutes! It felt like we went from afternoon to late evening to dawn! My friend in Seymour, Indiana (I am born/raised in Westfield, IN and graduated from Purdue) said it was so wild that the cows on their farm started to walk back to the barn thinking it was evening feeding time. I read that animals would be particularly impacted by the eclipse.
That’s interesting. We had the mosquitos come out and swarm us all when it started getting dark
Nice! Thank you for sharing!
you guys create amazing content. its heartbreaking to see so little views on them. keep hustling! all the best
Thank you! Will do!
I’m embarrassed to say that I played golf during the eclipse, one of the guys had a pair of eclipse glasses, very nice, I’ve seen this before and this was better. Keep up the good videos!
Why be embarrassed? You do you
We drove 4 hours to the Eastern Shore, camped at a state park in Maryland, and went to Wallops Island. There we saw an approximate 80% eclipse and also watched the launch of 3 sounding rockets. Not a 100% eclipse but a good time nonetheless. We saw the total eclipse in 2017.
That does sound like a great time and not too far from home.
Too bad we couldn't make it. Lots of familiar faces!
Would have been fun to have you
I got to see the total eclipse in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Fantastic!
Great video and what an awesome experience! Looked like a great time. Just a question, did I see a Tab 400 in front of you and if so was it towed by a StoryTeller? That’s my dream set up!
You did but it wasn’t towed by a STO. It could be though
👍👍❤️
👏🏼👏🏼👍🏼👍🏼🤩🤩❤️❤️
Hello 👋 Russo's ❤
Rando! How's it going?
@Weretherussos Great 👍 and great to see you two, love the RV.
MMM Pea-cons
West central Ohio. We sat in our yard and had over 3 min of totality. A true once in a lifetime experience. I am sooo glad I took off work to be with my family and experience it. Thanks for sharing your eclipse story!
That is awesome and even better that you were family!
In 2017 we traveled to Kearney, MO to see the eclipse. 2024...we sat in our backyard in Jasper IN. My husband and I got Twice in a Lifetime t-shirts to commemorate having seen both.
We watched it from a State Park north of Little Rock.
I was by Rose Bud Arkansas and it was very surreal. I was standing in the middle of a less travelled roat.
We took our camper van to Vermont for the eclipse. It was great!
Amazing trip!!!! That was a huge campout and we love the pot lucks and collective bar action! Excited to see your tease on the XO
Thanks! Video should be up this Friday
watching the eclipse at Vanstock! that was cool. I live in central Texas and got to see the eclipse for about a minute and a half. it was really incredible. very fortunate to see it because it was quite cloudy most of the day but we had an eclipse miracle at just the right time!
Yes! The eclipse miracle for the win
Eclipse not much of a big deal here in central Illinois. We will miss you guys this weekend at the Moore Expo.
There was a small chance we were going but alas it is not to be.
So nice
I had to pause the video to Google FOMO. Thanks Kait, I learned something knew because of you. Wow, what a great time was had by all, even the doggos.🌔🌓🌒🌑
You are so welcome!
Perhaps you should have come to Exmouth, Western Australia, last year for the total eclipse. The tiny town with a population of 3200, had over 20,000 people camped up to watch the event.
That sounds like it was fun
Saw you both on the cover of the Costco connection. Looks like your eclipse party was wonderful.
Thanks!
Super excited you both are back with your great videos. Thanks for sharing
You’re very welcome!
We watched the eclipse at Lincoln State Park campground just west of Santa Claus, IN (not too far from your neck of the woods I believe). There was approx 2 minutes of totality and you’re right; a partial eclipse doesn’t compare to a total eclipse!!! It was incredible!
There’s no comparison between the two.
How was Santa Clause? We’ve been talking about going down there in Fall to check it out
@@Weretherussos - Do you mean the town of Santa Claus or Holiday World (formerly known as Santa Claus World)? I don’t know much about the town but visited Holiday World numerous when our grandsons were little. Holiday World is clean, the employees are friendly, there is a water park included, the rides are great, and it’s fairly priced. They have their own very nice campground but we prefer Lincoln State Park (much quieter) and it’s a short 15-20 minutes away.
Thanks for sharing. Glad to see you posting back on UA-cam.
How come you stopped posting your podcast videos on UA-cam?
Yes we stopped posting the podcast videos because we didn’t have the interest BUT we’re still publishing the audio portion on all platforms. Have you been listening to the episodes?
@@Weretherussos Unfortunately, no. I am a creature of habit. I enjoyed the audio and video. Do your other podcast platforms support video?
This looks so fun! Can't wait to get our van.
Hope to see y’all at an event!
Wonderful fun event you had. ❤
Thank you 🤗
Great Video. Our camp out was less impressive for the eclipse - two lawn chairs in front of our garage. The sky was cloud free, so we had a great total eclipse experience!
Hey whatever works - I bet you still enjoyed it.
@@Weretherussos we sure did!
Lake Belton TX. The clouds parted at the perfect time. It was totally wow. Being able to do it sitting next to our RV summarizes all the reasons for having an RV! 😊
Thank you for sharing your adventures, watching from New Zealand!
Thanks for watching! We look forward to exploring NZ in a rental camper one of these days.
