I'm a Gen Xer, so most of the cartoons I grew up watching were in the 80's, and consisted of Looney Tunes, Hanna-Barbera, and shows like He-Man and Inspector Gadget. I loved watching Scooby Doo when I was a kid. When the 90's came, I would watch the Simpsons, Darkwing Duck, and DuckTales.
80s and 90s were peak cartoons. Then they started a decline for a while, but I think we're seeing a second renaissance. Especially indie animation. Probably because the people who grew up with those 80s/90s cartoons are now in a position to make their own.
Jada is a really great singer, you should develop something with Izzy and Dani to do some extra singing episodes. A synopsis would be great for all recommendations. Nicole, again interesting facts like "role model for a cartoon-free life" - later becoming a nerd (in a good way).
The cartoons I watched were mainly in the 80’s and early 90’s like smurfs, snorks, muppet babies, dinosaurs, teenage mutant ninja turtles. Things like that.
Missed alot of the 90s golden classic cartoons. Mighty max. Swat kats. Xmen. King author and the knights of justice. Street sharks. Biker mice from mars. Etc
This was my fav episode of ReactCAST yet! I don't know why , but it seems like Nicole always says stuff that triggers my few remaining brain cells, this time it was her comment about south park and it's creators, that brought back some really good memories. Back in the olden days(1980s) before there was a UA-cam, even before there was an internet there was a thing every year called "Spike & Mike's festival of animation", creators would come from all over to show their wares there and they got into the habit of running late or midnight shows where they would show the things they couldn't show at the regular shows. Those midnight shows received so many entries they became their own festival "Spike & Mike's Sick & Twisted festival of animation" and we went every year. I remember one year, I think '92 at "Sick & Twisted" Trey Parker and Matt Stone debuted this short they created about four boys in a Colorado town and at that same show a dude name Mike Judge debuted a short titled "Frog Baseball" about two dimwitted metal heads the headliner was Weird Al who debuted the video for his new single "Jurassic Park" which was all done in clay-mation, I remember I was so excited because I got to talk to him and he signed my program. Also please do another animation episode.
As far as animated shows go, it's hard to pick a favorite for me. There were three shows I watched religiously in the 90s: TMNT, DuckTales, and Chip 'n' Dale Rescue Rangers. And now I own all three on DVD (TMNT, DuckTales) and Blu-Ray (Chip 'n' Dale).
Yes, competing with siblings to watch cartoons before catching the bus in the morning Mon - Fri. On Sat Morning watching Cartoons all morning before doing chores. OOoo Toonami Mon- Fri after school and doing homework and studying for tests in between the shows. Yep yep.
Love Jada's song! 🙌❤ '94 🤟 I watched Dexter's Lab, Ed Edd and Eddy, Courage, Powerpuff Girls, Johnny Bravo etc AND of course Pokemon but that's an anime 😉🤪 Great episode and great podcast overall 🤍
The 90s and 200s had some of my favorite shows Danny Phantom Fairly Odd Parents Dexter’s Laboratory DragonBallZ VeggieTales! PowerPuffGirls Icarly Drake and Josh Friends All of them were and still my favorite shows
Teaching my son about cartoons, Disney shows and Nick, “Ed, Edd & Eddy” was a favorite (since I am one). Always asked if he was ready to watch ‘Dad, dadd and daddy’
You should do a millennials episode for cartoons/shows in general where you have an older millennial and a younger millennial. I was an older millennial and my sister a younger millennial so I have some nostalgia connected with her cartoons, but none of those were here. That would be an interesting episode.
I know Jada is a producer so she is behind the scenes, but I've said this another vid where she was reacting. She's really likeable in front of the camera too.
For current animation series, Hazbin Hotel and The Legend of Vox Machina are the ones I'm enjoying right now. Also, save Lower Decks. It's so disappointing they're cancelling such a great show in favor of a spin off series no one asked for to a series few people liked.
I've been watching various React channels for a while now but this is my first ReactCAST and I'm very impressed. Great format and a really interesting discussion. I have a question about content... you used to have a much wider range of reactors when it comes to age. Where have all your GenX and Boomer reactors gone, I'd love to see another podcast on this subject but with 80's cartoons discussed instead. Great stuff as always folks, Love and Light to you all.
I would honestly like to see a version of this podcast but with kids live-action shows. As a kid in the 90s, I watched more live-action shows than animated, and it would be divided mainly between Disney and Nickelodeon.
Secret world of David the gnome was def one of the best cartoons ever need to put the finale on a try not to cry an y'all need to make everyone apart of all the channels that haven't seen it watch newsies the movie not the play I'm not of the play but love the movie
This is hard because I love 2 shows from the 90s and 2 shows from the 2000s. Powerpuff Girls and Dexter's Laboratory were the first ones I've watched, and Foster's and Chowder are the comedy cartoons I watched after. Powerpuff Girls shaped my career, as well as Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends. This is the hardest debate to make.
I totally agree with Joe about Total Drama Island. I would know when my kid watched it. His demeanor would change for the worst after watching it. I banned him from watching it.
OK, just to muddy the water, do we keep Codename: Kids Next Door or Hey Arnold? We need a Part 2 of this episode. Also, can we cover anime on Netfix(Ultraman, One Punch Man, Full Metal Alchemist)?
My Millennial son who is on the spectrum, took one look at South Park, said the animation sucked & it looked like it came from when I was a kid & changed the channel! Don't think he has ever watched an episode lmao. Came back to say that I just talked to him & he said it actually became one of his absolute favorites few years later, it's in his top 5!
In middle school I used to watch Saturday morning cartoons for a few hours then go spend a few hours riding my dirt bike or sometimes my ATV and then go back to watching cartoons until bed. Good times 🤙🏻
Also idk why joe is mad about the 2 winners thing, when they always make the canon winner the american winner, its our show here in canada, and he still got the canon winner
would love it if you could get more voice actors to stop by, Karen Fukahara (kipo/glimmer, ect) Shelby young, just anyone you think you can get! I met Grey in atl about two yrs ago shes cool!
Joe's tirade against Total drama had me going... is he going off the deep end? And then hearing the defenses of the show, I was like... fuck this show.
Joe doing background for Jada's R & B SpongeBob rendition was absolutely hilarious.
I am the terror that flaps in the night!
I loved that one

Also thank you for the opportunity to see more of Jada! I LOVE her laugh & she always cracks me up!
The cartoons I watched were mainly in the 80’s and early 90’s like smurfs, snorks, muppet babies, dinosaurs, teenage mutant ninja turtles. Things like that.
Joe's hard stance on Total Drama Island was so fascinating to watch. It really was an entire dissertation
Jada's RnB version of the Spongebob Theme I think is an improvement over the actual theme.
Joe is definitely getting better with these improv intros. I love them all!
RECESS!! That was one of my top Saturday morning cartoons!
The Simpsons, Beavis and Butthead, Pokemon, Recess, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Futurama, and Dexter’s Lab! I guess I am an og millennial lol
Teen Titan, Static Shock, Thunder Cats, Johnny Bravo, Samurai Jack, Etc
Don't called yourself a millennial called yourself xennial
Missed alot of the 90s golden classic cartoons. Mighty max. Swat kats. Xmen. King author and the knights of justice. Street sharks. Biker mice from mars. Etc
Pepper Ann!!! Darkwing Duck, Gargoyles, Bonkers, Tiny Toons, Animaniacs, etc.
I still GOTTA see Biker Mice. I remember watching it on the 4kids website

Totally remember Spike & Mike’s!! - Nicole
This was such a great episodes! Thanks all y’all!
I loved The Wild Thornberrys and Rugrats. I love Nicole's commentary.
Nicole: "I clearly have a type."
And this is where Stitch enters the room.
We NEED Jada to lay down a track of the R&B SBSP!!!
I miss Saturday Morning Cartoons
Yes, competing with siblings to watch cartoons before catching the bus in the morning Mon - Fri. On Sat Morning watching Cartoons all morning before doing chores. OOoo
Toonami Mon- Fri after school and doing homework and studying for tests in between the shows. Yep yep.
OKAY BUT THE WILD THORNBERRYS IS SO GOOD THO THEY SHOULD WATCH IT
38:50 YOU MONSTER. I refuse to give up either 😭
I love the R&B ending. 🎉🎉🎉🎉
32:17 speaking of the theme song for Phineas and Ferb did you know that Bowling for Soup the punk band wrote and performed that song?
Tiny detail but those buzzers would be sooo good at React!
Joe mentioning David the Gnome is such a deep cut! I loved that show!
Yeah majority would choose og avatar over Korra any day
Jada's singing 😮👏
TEAM HARRIS!! Probably no relation, but I'm also a Harris, so I gotta rep the fam name 😂. Also, 90s cartoons for the win!
I absolutely love Jada’s smile. It is extremely infectious.
Love Jada's song! 🙌❤ '94 🤟 I watched Dexter's Lab, Ed Edd and Eddy, Courage, Powerpuff Girls, Johnny Bravo etc AND of course Pokemon but that's an anime 😉🤪 Great episode and great podcast overall 🤍
The 90s and 200s had some of my favorite shows
Danny Phantom
Fairly Odd Parents
Dexter’s Laboratory
DragonBallZ
VeggieTales!
PowerPuffGirls
Icarly
Drake and Josh
Friends
All of them were and still my favorite shows
Joe went on a hate research on Total Drama Island. It’s amazing.
Futurama is absolutely the superior show. And yes Plachy, watch *both* Newsies - the 90s movie and the Broadway pro-shot.
Teaching my son about cartoons, Disney shows and Nick, “Ed, Edd & Eddy” was a favorite (since I am one). Always asked if he was ready to watch ‘Dad, dadd and daddy’
I grew up on Looney Tunes, the OG TMNT, The Muppet Babies, and one of my favourites was Inspector Gadget
TMNT was more my little brother's time (5yr difference), but 💯% on the rest.
You should do a millennials episode for cartoons/shows in general where you have an older millennial and a younger millennial. WATCH NEWSIES PLACKY or Nicole might start a riot xD
I know Jada is a producer so she is behind the scenes, but I've said this another vid where she was reacting. She's really likeable in front of the camera too.
That R&B version of SpongeBob theme song!!!
44:09 WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS TO ME!???? This was the hardest one they did!!!
For current animation series, Hazbin Hotel and The Legend of Vox Machina are the ones I'm enjoying right now. Also, save Lower Decks. It's so disappointing they're cancelling such a great show in favor of a spin off series no one asked for to a series few people liked.
My favourite cartoons are Simpsons, Arthur, and 6teen. I think 6teen i snot that well known, maybe we only had it in Canada.
Dude Bluey is my cousin's favorite both in English and Filipino 😂
I've been watching various React channels for a while now but this is my first ReactCAST and I'm very impressed. Great format and a really interesting discussion.

Nickelodeon's Doug vs Disney's Doug
Nickelodeon, hands down
I recognized the wild thornberrys right away!!
Nicole: “Have you watched Newsies?”
*Kevin Plachy sweats bullets and changes the subject.*
😂😂😂 Don’t avoid the question! It’s a simple question!
Yes!!
@@ReactCASTOfficialIt should be a question for him every podcast! Maybe he’ll cave and actually watch it!
As a gen z I grew up watching 90s cartoons! My fav was cat dog and hey Arnold

Ooh Band Geeks vs Jurassic Bark… some of the best animated episodes of all time
25 next month and my faves are Samurai Jack, Scooby Doo(any of them), and it’s a toss up between Courage The Cowardly Dog and The Powerpuff Girls.
Man Avatar the last airbender definitely one the best animated series of all time and the universe was so cool to get into, awesome episode 👍
2:27 Great theme song
I prefer daria to beavis and butthead
Brava, jada, brava 👏👏👏
Blue Eye Samurai is amazing, definitely worth watching.
jayda just seems like a blast would be fun a f to hang with her and izzy and nicole ofcorse
I grew up on Scooby Doo, Marine Boy, Hong Kong Phooey, Looney Toons, Johnny Quest, Super Friends, Space Ghost ,Jabber Jaw ect. They were the best

Love this channel so much, I just love that it is the same reactors and producers on it❤❤

My favourite cartoons growing up were Regular Show and Teen Titans Go.
Regular Show yes! TTG? No!
It took me a moment to realiise that Doug was talking about Doug. How apropos!
Being around the same age as Joe, I relate so much to Saturday morning cartoons. Every Saturday morning I would start my day watching Looney Tunes.
This one is really, REALLY old school. but y'all need to watch Rocky & Bullwinkle.
If we're gonna talk about best cartoon theme songs.... from my childhood: Heathcliff has the best theme song.
Yes, watch the Newbies Plaque 😂
What about 'Robot Chicken'???
My Millennial son who is on the spectrum, took one look at South Park, said the animation sucked & it looked like it came from when I was a kid & changed the channel! Yoo Jada killed it 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Jada definitely done did that RnB SpongeBob theme song
My cartoon since being an adult. OK KO, Loud House, Creig of the Creek, Owl House, Gravity Falls and Ghost and Molly McGee
I agree with Gia Grimm Adventures Of Billy and Mandy is a good cartoon
At least I got Pinky and the Brain right. Never seen Ben 10.
The thing I find hilarious with Donnie from The Wild Thornberries is that he's voiced by Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Futurama is for sure the superior show.
I love Bluey so obsessed with it great show…no kids just a woman in her 30s who fell in love with Bluey lol
Also idk why joe is mad about the 2 winners thing,
when they always make the canon winner the american winner,
its our show here in canada,
and he still got the canon winner
Spongebob, Futurama...
I can't choose. My XBOX gamer tag is Koala Chucker because of the futurama movie with the forcefield.
Also,.Animaniacs is the BEST CARTOON EVER!!!
would love it if you could get more voice actors to stop by, Karen Fukahara (kipo/glimmer, ect) Shelby young, just anyone you think you can get! I met Grey in atl about two yrs ago shes cool!
I watched Bluey, then made sure that my kid liked Bluey.
Working on a few others now, so this should be fun.
Um…. Was this filmed in an alternate reality or did you forget about X-MEN?!
You guys should do Beyond believe fact or fiction
Korra wasn't better than Aang storywise...
Kevin these head to heads are evillllll
100% with my guy about total drama island, it sucks ass. Recess was just so much better. The audacity lol
Joe is my favorite producer
Joe's tirade against Total drama had me going... is he going off the deep end? And then hearing the defenses of the show, I was like... fuck this show.
Joe..no..Teen Titains original beats TT go any day..
Facts
True
Btw, Also Try to discuss "90's game Console to 20's" 😁😁😁😁
Futurama is by far my favorite cartoon of all time and Benders Game aged so well
Have to choose Pokemon. I still literally cry when Ash dies in the first movie.
It's funny how Joe knocks on TDI for not being creative. But then proceeds to name something creative about it.
JOE NEEDS TO WATCH ROCKET POWER!!!!!!
