I got a sci-fi movie for ya! It's called "Dr. Otto and the Riddle of the Gloom Beam", released in 1985. It was actually the first film to feature the character of Ernest P. Worrell, played by the late Jim Varney.
I remember a joke about an atheist and the Loch Ness Monster. When Nessie attacks the atheist's boat, the man calls out to God for help. God responds by saying, "I thought you did not believe in Me. Now, you would like for Me to save you from the monster. I will not interfere in this creature's natural instinct." The atheist exclaimed, "I have seen the light! If nothing else, please have the monster find religion, too!" God agreed and Nessie was bathed in light. Just as the man breathed a sigh of relief, he heard the monster say, "For this food I am about to receive, I am truly grateful."
Hey, thanks for the shout-out (AND for reviewing this movie!). When I was a laddie (maybe fourth grade or so) I taped it off of TV and watched it several times. Thanks as always, Barkey!

I will look for that!

(Go ahead and do that Atlantis one! Might be interesting!)
I may as well, since I have it now.
I used to think perhaps the creature lived in the ocean and only came to the loch to spawn. Then I found out the loch doesn't open into the ocean.
