i think valve is playing with reverse psychology, stating the date as APRIL 1 everyone will assume its april fools. but if they aren't fooling than it will make much kore of a fuss

The fact that it’s announced for the 1st of April is one of the strongest marketing strategies I’ve ever seen in the gaming industry. I personally don’t think it’s a joke, the date is just a way to keep everyone not only guessing but searching for more leaks to confirm the release.

Me and the boys just got back on CS, I'm shocked at how much fun it is after all these years tbh. It's the most recent video on my channel, it's actually picking up some steam which I also didn't expect because I thought funny CS content died years ago. I doubt we'll see source 2 this quarter, but it'll be sick when we do. Imagine MM on 128 tick servers and upgraded anti cheat; The perfect game.

2:15 this will absolutely never happen! Valorant is only available on Windows which is why they've been able to develop this kind of solution. CS is available on Windows, Linux (SteamDeck) and MacOS.

Every 10 years come a new CS , I remember 1.6 to Source and Source to GO its like 10 years. I guess that 2023 is a Time for new CS.
That is very false. CS 1.6 was released in 2003. Cs source was released in 2004. And cs go was released in 2012. So the first time you were off by 9 years and the second time by 2 years.

@@luks6436 What people need to understand is, Valve did not even create an engine for CS:GO since it uses the same engine as the game released in 2004, source. So actually CS GO has an 19 years old engine. They just don't care about cs, they know the game will never die and for them that is enough.
If source 2 was what valve was working on for the last 10 years, and we see not just csgo, but tf2 and l4d2 get some kind of update, it could possibly make my year.

people have found code in dota 2 (source: gaben follower) that csgo s1 items will be transferred to s2 because they found tools in the code that will be used to port them over.
fyi: all source 2 projects share the same engine codebase so any updates to dota 2 or hl:a will include updates to csgo s2

you'll be surprised that it wont be much difference. they already did s2 change to dota2 back in 2015 which mainly only optimization of performance and workshop streamlining

I feel the same way like you do about 128 tick Matchmaking servers. But I think that, sometimes I will play Faceit and 3rd party services because I'm getting tired of Valve's ranking system. Faceit, ESEA has elo system, which I could see how much elo I have and how many matches I need to rank up or rank down. MM is the type if you play more, it discouraged me from playing csgo because I will have a tough time to rank up. I stuck at MGE - DMG ish for 6 months now and I'm sick of it. I want Valve atleast do something about that too :(

Personally, I'm not particularly concerned about Source 2 that much. I remember when Dota 2 Reborn was launched at it was a huge mess for at least a month with near nonstop updates for consecutive days and gameplay wise, nothing really changed much. For csgo, I'd rather wait until I see it for myself than actually expect the 128 tick servers or better matchmaking to save myself the disappointment if it doesn't happen

i think the current anticheat is good enough. i especially like the shadow banning on cheaters. it's surprisingly effective. i used to cheat in csgo and i got banned multiple times and i wasn't even doing anything that crazy and even years later valve could still correctly identify that i have cheated in the past and put me in games with other cheaters.
and yes i have stopped cheating and i have played legit for like five years and it seems like valve has started to trust me again which i think is fair. i think i have showed that i don't cheat anymore.
I it not "good enough" ive had friend hack for months and not been banned, it is one of the worst anti-cheats out there
