Hello, Gizaudio. You are the most perfect reviewer for me. I'm Korean, so I translate your video and watch it. I'm thinking between "mangird xenns top" and "Moondrop Variations" to upgrade from "Softears Volume" to the higher level. Compared to "Moondrop Variations", what is better to appreciate female vocals? Is the vocal positioned in the front? And I also like vocal tendencies like "Moondrop Kato".
This review is right on time! I just received my set yesterday. They sounded pretty good straight out of the box but a 24 hour burn in has them sounding wonderful. My only initial concern was a little bit of lightness in the lower midrange but that seems to have cleared up. Dynamics and technicals are very good. I also recently received the IKKO Asgard OH5 which has even better technicals. The Top is still better for long listening sessions. I classify them as the OH5 being for audiophiles and the Top being for music lovers. At some point, could you do a piece covering underrated IEM’s? In other words, IEM’s that slipped under the radar for whatever reason but are actually very good. I have my own thoughts but would like to hear yours. Thanks!
@@khai0895 If you can get only one, make your decision on your sonic preferences. The OH5 is the more neutral of the two with a more up front presentation. Bass is there but it’s not hyped up. The Top has a sonic profile that I don’t think anyone would be disappointed with. It’s good to go straight out of the box. I’d describe it as mid hall centric with a sound that’s warm, natural and musical. Driver integration is very well done. The cable included is underwhelming but works well with the iem’s.
