Their drummer is just a good dude, humble and seems to really support all who he works with/ plays with. I got a lot of respect for people like him, being grateful goes a long way.
You're soo right, I was lucky enough to meet them a couple years back (War of Attrition era), John came across like an energetic schoolboy, big grin on his face having the time of his life just because he was talking to fans and having fun playing death metal, absolutely no snobbery or ego at all - Endless respect to them!
Out of all the bands I've ever met, these guys were probably one of the nicest and most energetic and talkative next to A7X and Slayer. Very nice, considering, and just awesome people. Can't wait to see them again!
I remember the first time i see the video for Homicidal Retribution ...i couldnt believe trey was really playing that fast ...sick Af..been hooked ever since..
@skullkrusher9 Glad you liked it. Check out the following bands. I think this was the best Death Metal released in 2011: - Vader - Welcome to the Morbid Reich - Morbus Chron - Sleepers in the Rift - Obscura - Omnivium - Necros Christos - Doom of The Occult - The project hate mcmxcix - Bleeding the New Apocalypse - Autopsy - Macabre Eternal - Entrails - The Tomb Awaits - Revolting - In Grisly Rapture check em out on myspace or download their music. If you like them buy their records.
I get what John Gallagher is saying here. This intvw is from 2010 and he would've been 34 at the time. "New bands" is a young man's game. A few curious older minds will be hungry to check out the latest stuff, but in your thirties you really just focus on your own stuff and listen to your classics.
@DoctorLipsh1ts the first thing that i want to make clear is that blast beating can support a great riff and make it even more awesome. my suggestions are, if you are searching for memorable riffs, to listen to the three latest albums of Nile. if you prefer melodic death metal, you should really check out the album "slaughter of the soul" by at the gates.
True man. But has nothing to do with Fetus, but I'm deeply saddened. Slayer has Exodus's guitarist now, not to replace, but to fill in. It will never be the same
Weird how they're talking about Descend into Depravity but they were playing Homicidal Retribution which is on the the previous album?...maybe it was on purpose
@americanfook you have probably heard of them already. but if you really like Death Metal in the style of Dying Fetus, then check out MISERY INDEX. basically all of the ex-dying fetus members went there to kick everyone's asses hehe :-) other interesting stuff: Vale Of Pnath, Decrepit Birth, Obscura, Abominable Pudridity, Illogicist, Cytotoxin, Cerebral Bore, Aborted, Benighted, I Chaos, The Faceless (as mentioned in the interview), Entombed, Dismember, Hackneyed, Davidian, Psycroptic, etc. ...
@americanfook cannibal corpse, the faceless, braindrill, aeon, suffocation, six feet under, fleshgod apocalypse, the black dahlia murder, behemoth, beneath the massacre, defeated sanity, deicide, lecherous nocturne, arkaik, spawn of possesion, blood red throne, be'lakor, cerebral bore, ingested, job for a cowboy (new),a loathing requiem, etc
@Rasamotmaskinen oh yeah i know man and i love nile, annihilation of the wicked is an amazing album hands down. but i don't like it when the drums overpower the guitar and vocals and it sounds like a really fast metronome the whole song haha. i think it's all about balance, take for example the shitty hardcore bands that water their songs down with breakdowns. no balance, no groove = boring and mindnumbing
can anyone give me some death metal bands that actually have slams like them and memorable riffs? i don't like it when it's just tapping and blast beats the whole song
@assasinator1980 you must be high. I asked you what deathcore bands i had in my list, and you didnt tell me, so its obvious that they are all death metal and you caint find one. if i was going to tel him a deathcore band i would of said carnifex, suicide silence, oceano, whitechapel oor something like that
Their drummer is just a good dude, humble and seems to really support all who he works with/ plays with. I got a lot of respect for people like him, being grateful goes a long way.
met him at a show, he is not an asshole, he really is a cool dude, the wholr band is, but Trey, he is very open and super friendly!
Watch Gear Masters with Trey my friend excellent video!!
Potatoes turn carnivores when faced with chess in high-stress situations like during tournaments or your mom
This band is so brutal and damn humble
they're easily one of the tightest bands i've ever seen live!
Clearly !!
ther comment about the bands they like disappointed me

@@christophercolumbus8944 average ? Lmao
Damn Why's John So Calm Man He's a Beast While Playing.
Homicidal retribution is the song playing in the back

You're soo right, I was lucky enough to meet them a couple years back (War of Attrition era), John came across like an energetic schoolboy, big grin on his face having the time of his life just because he was talking to fans and having fun playing death metal, absolutely no snobbery or ego at all - Endless respect to them!
Old school cave man riffs XD
i thought trey was wearing a avenged sevenfold t-shirt, i've never freaked out this bad in my life. fuck.
I love both bands
is that a good or bad frak out?
It was a suffocation shirt
Such chill guys
I want that shirt John's wearing. Also, it's good to see Trey Williams is a happy guy, on gigs he always makes a pissed face
American deathmetal is awesome. Bloadsoaked, dying fetus, putrid pile. Unique deathmetal. Old school riff.
Devourment, Cannibal corpse, suffocation
Trey Williams mentioned The Faceless & Beneath The Massacre..WOW
Awesome :)
Absolutely. I'm amazed at how calm and (in a way) reserved John is in this video and when not on stage but amongst the crowd. But a genius.
KINGS OF DEATH METAL
super cool to hear all these death metal dudes paying respects to bands that inspired them. The greatest ones always pay homage.
2:49 LOL that's sooo true.
John Gallagher does it properly
its funny how metal bands are always so laid back and calm in interviews but then they're crazy on stage
Out of all the bands I've ever met, these guys were probably one of the nicest and most energetic and talkative next to A7X and Slayer. Very nice, considering, and just awesome people. Can't wait to see them again!

Trey's my favourite.

So glad John got Sean and Trey this lineup is nuts
best band in the death metal catalogue
I don't want to argue with a guy who likes DF, allthough I havent done any kind of research from SFU. I just listen to it. and R.I.P

Trey and Sean ft. John
@DoctorLipsh1ts Okej, then you should look up six feet under, they usually use slower two and four beat. Listen to "deathklaat";
Does anyone else think John looks like a bigger version of Joel Zimmerman?
Cool war fetus
Yeah, well, that's, like, your opinion, man.
can anyone give me some death metal bands that actually have slams like them and memorable riffs? i don't like it when it's just tapping and blast beats the whole song
