I have dialed in on a used 2010 K1300S or a 2007 K1200S. Reading the excellent info provided in your posts as well as the Superbikes forum, I think I'm leaning to the 1300 (although it will be approx $2,500 more). I will make the purchase the purchase by this coming Thursday. I will also be adding some of the aftermarket bits you have reviewed (definitely the Akra, LCD dash as well as radar detector).

On my SUZUKI GSX-R 1000 I have full TWIN STREET LEGAL EXHAUST..

BEST looking K1300S I've seen! Excellent overview! I'm planning on adding one of these bikes to my garage over the next week. Your info has definitely been helpful. Trying to find a Lava Orange (1st choice), Black, or Silver one. Any advice on differences between '09 to present?

Sargent seat for K1200S will fit the K1300S. Good luck with it.

I'd suggest removing the passenger foot pegs. It would clean up the tail a bit. Beautiful bike!

It's a HP Digital Dash from BMW. It's made by the company that supplies MotoGP digital dashes.

Hey there, I'am from México, I own a BMW K1200 S in black color, that bike in the video it's beautiful. In my opinion it would be better with two more things I bought them in Wunderlich América, the first one are the sliders specially made for this model, I don't want to be in the ground!!!!!!, just in case and of course, made in Germany, and the second one it's a rear suspension riser; yep, right from Wunderlich, made in Germany by Lucas which is a German company too. With this risers the motorcycle help's to go inside of de curves, I mean it's like the bike want's to go alone in an extra bend position to get in the curve; why? because you are modifing the geometry of de rear suspensión. The K1300S is unchanged from 2009 to the present 2013 and will most probably not changed for 2014 either.
