Wrong. There are too many unbiblical things in the show and in the periphery of the show. If you read the Bible, you will be enlightened about those mistakes.

This has been an epic event for this generation. I pray the work you do for God brings families to Christ, joins people of different faiths, and brings the Holy Spirit into our hearts to do the work Jesus gave us. Bless all involved in the name of Jesus. This has touched my heart for Jesus and stoked a desire that I thought I had.

The world needs Jesus and His Word, not entertainment and a man’s interpretation of it.
Millions of dollars go into this “entertainment”… and yet 3.4 billion people have never heard the name of Jesus in their heart language. Yes. Let’s applaud a production that gives Jesus (the man portraying Jesus is not even a Christian) in an entertaining way to people who already have the Bible in their language.
The chosen is what’s wrong w modern day Christianity, it’s always missing the point and prioritizing the peripheral. What’s important? Story telling or saving souls then leading them to maturity?
Glad you read your Bible more, but if you aren’t actively engaging more in evangelism, missions, and holier living, that reading will be in vain. God used a donkey to correct one of His people… God used a hat with a Bible verse for me when I was a teen… He can use anything, doesn’t mean that the object itself is God-ordained and ideal… much like that hat, it served its purpose, and I let that object go. Hope those who start taking their walk w God more seriously let the praise of this show go and only praise God, not Dallas or the chosen. Paul didn’t accept praise… yet Dallas thrives off of it

Dallas doesn't do this shoe on his own, he has 3 other bible scholars one Catholic,a rabbi and a bible scholars who teaches .. yes they have taken creative liberties and Dallas has always been up front about that .. why are you upset? This show is bringing people like me, back to the Bible and Faith that was lost. I now attend Sunday service and have been learning more and more about Jesus that I forgot while living my life, too busy for God! Although I prayed to God when I NEEDED him, I now pray before my feet hit the floor in the morning and I pray at night and all during the day ,in looking at my Bible. Without The Chosen,is still be a lost ,wandering, soul. So let us who love this show and have gotten closer to Jesus, figure it out on our own, just because you don't agree doesn't make it wrong. The chosen uses the scripture and I've read exactly the same words in my Bible. Please let us be and don't judge only our Father can judge us ! God Bless you and keep you safe🙏🏼🫶🏼🙏🏼☮️
@@debrarichardsjones8860yes, you prove my point. The actor portraying Jesus is a Catholic, not a Christian. There is a distinction. One worships to God alone, another believes in priests, prays to Mary etc (complete contradiction to the Bible : 1 Tim 2:5).
Next point, you do know the Rabbis don’t believe in the Biblical Jesus, and Catholics were the greatest prosecutors of actual Christians in history (read; the reformers and their step children. It would behoove you to know actual history and the Bible)… which leads me to the third person, who remains quite nebulous and doesn’t have his name readily available so that Christians can see what his/her theology is… that matters a lot. As a person who reads both original languages and finishing up my PhD in exegesis, I do not take to heart the term scholar too much.
I’m mostly upset at Dallas always seeking limelight… and did you actually read my post and listen to his 3 min thank you speech? What took the majority of the time? God? Or “Christian entertainment”? What you emphasize and spend more time on shows your (true) heart…
I’m glad you are reading your Bible more and praying, but that’s not the Christian life… how have you radically changed? What sins are you breaking free of? How does it affect your time and finances? How are you evangelizing and doing missions differently? That’s the real Christian life… how is God getting more glory? John 15:1-8 if you aren’t bearing “much” fruit… then you are not what God is seeking.
The chosen would be better if Dallas stayed out of the spot light and didn’t make videos as long as an episode.
This video didn’t praise God. But Christian entertainment. His last defense that was 19 mins long defended “his rights” and his “liberties” and his team more than God, the Bible (he only used 1-2 verses at the end as proof text) or calling out sin. He has never called out sin and always sounds defensive… “a wise man loves reproof”.
It’s not judgmental, you need to know the Scripture. Galatians 6:1, 2 Tim 2:24-25, godly people reprove others who are not walking according to the Scriptures. And there are many evidences in 2 posts that Dallas is not walking according to the Scriptures.
Ide encourage to be dependent on God and His Word, and get involved in a local church (Heb 10:25)…. And once you can see God as your only source of strength, then you can find time to watch entertainment… if you take the chosen as a substitute or use it as a part of your personal walk, then I would fear for your Christian life. You and EVERYONE involved are doing just that. I want to add I pray that The Chosen is timeless and many generations to come will be able to have continued access to the people of the future. Jesus is something that is timeless and HIS healing is what will always be needed.

Dallas and crew are making the Bible more relatable with todays storytelling medium of film/TV allowing us to not only see and experience these rarely mentioned story’s but to go back to scripture and read out the actual account. Keep up the great work and may it please God our father and heaven to see his son our Lord Jesus portrayed in an accurate manner.
Everybody loves a Jesus that requires little or nothing to follow Him. But that's not the true Jesus, Who clearly stated that anyone who doesn't deny himself, take up his cross and follow Him is not worthy of Him. This work of fiction preaches a gospel of self, not self denial, which will quickly fail, like the house built on sand, in the coming tribulations which will purify the true Church.
@@dd41283. So glad you have written this. This series is a travesty of the truth. He has invented a false Christ. Frightening that he has an answer to everything and has deceived so many. I’m not RC but the Pope was right, ‘And you are Judas?’ he asked Jenkins when he met him and Roumie. That took the wind out of Mr Jenkins’ sails for once. A true Caiaphas moment.
@dawnpeterson4804 please tell us what parts you are referring too in the show. Then give us your denomination and ill tell you how your HUMAN pastor how he is potraying the Bible wrong on sundays. Get off your high horse please. Lots of people try to teach and interpret the Bible in a human way. In fact we all do it. Free will, no, predestination. No its both. Mary was sinless, no she wast. The fact that you come on here and pretend to know better than everyone else what the Bible is stating and how Jesus acted is rediculous. The scenes in the Bible that are actually portrayed in the chosen are quite accurate. And the filler is just using an imagination of what the dialogue might have been like. Is it going to line up exactly with yours or everyones thoughts, not always. But Jesus is harsh when he needs to be and compationate as well, i dont see anything majorly wrong with what they have done, especially when you look at it the correct way for what it is. The show is being watched by people who dont even know who or what Jesus is. It will encourage them to actuslly read the Bible. Now if you want to talk about the one thing that I think they should do. I think Dallas and Company should be promoting that people read their Bible and that if they don't have a Bible they should go get one. He has been fully upfront about the show being a show and not replacing the Bible. But hey coming on here bashing a Christian show thats trying to get Jesus out there is a perfect example of 2023.

I have been a devoted follower of this series and what God is doing in all your lives since I first heard the small "whisperings" of the dream coming into view - in 2017... Then jumped-in to contribute shortly after that!
The testimonies are evident that we serve a mighty God! I have "used" The Chosen as a tool to open the door to many who asked about my own faith in Jesus and who want a relationship with my Lord. Keep doing what you are doing! Keep steady! Keep faithful! Be on guard against the enemy! Make wise choices as you continue this mission!
Some scriptures that come to mind - Psalms 27, Lamentations 3:23, Colossians 2:2, and so many scriptures from the Word of God!
I feel that I "know" you all, even though we have never met - as there are kindred spirits amongst us all - because of Jesus: )
Lastly, in all of this I continue to pray for each and every one of you... that God will continue to bless and that you all would be blessed and remain faithful to the original purpose of this series and the call upon all of your lives! Dear Dallas and Amanda - and your beautiful children! To the amazing writing team! The producers, the media group, the sound team, the musical accompaniment team, the "runners", the film crew, the stunt crew.... the amazing actors! On and on! God keep you all steady, and with singular purpose towards what this series is intended for...but with that have joy! Enjoy each moment! If I had to pic a favorite... it would be the "Golden Scene" with Mary Magdalene -"who are you" being voiced - a spear to my heart! Tears flowed out of nowhere weeping over this scene!!! @ tammykalii9360 exactly. I’ve actually not heard a person say in the thousands of comments say “how” this show has affected them in a Biblical manner. Ie, stopped swearing, stopped fornicating, became more active in soul winning, give more to missions etc. sure they say, “I read my Bible or love etc”… but that’s not Christianity, Pharisees read the Bible… Judas loved Jesus at one point…
It’s always “entertainment” and existentialism.
That’s why if anything that leads you to God is not of God, it’ll just make a veneer of Christian which is more dangerous than most pagan occults. Thinking you are “ok” whilst actually still being lost is far more detrimental to someone than knowing they are lost… I’m sure there are many people who love the portrayal of Jesus in the Chosen going to 🔥. Which is antithetical of what the Bible says, because if you love Jesus, you will keep His Word (Jn 8:31).
Modern day Christianity in western society is nauseating, focused more and aesthetics and entertainment than actual souls going to a Christ-less eternity.
If anyone was listening, actually, Dallas didn’t praise God at all, he just said “listening to God”. I’ve seen more hedonist professional athletes praise God more for stupid trophies than he just did for a “faith based” award. Wake up people.
