how to change a water pump seal on a polaris sportsman highlifter

How to remove your water pump seal or your gas tank, on a polaris sportsman highlifter 850 1000,,,
I had mentioned about changing the shaft seal I was wrong about that,, that's all one piece and if that thing is wobbling you need to take off the stator cover and change the Water pump shaft bearing , when it wobbles it would mess up the new water pump seal again, it's all one piece take a look at the schematic diagram to see what I'm talkin about,,,
water was not supposed to drip after I had resembled it it was because of the water pump shaft bearing was bad, it was wobbling and causing the new water pump seal to break again, Also you need to have a longer hose going from your water pump weep hose all the way up to the handlebars, because what happens the little 4 inch hose fills up with mud and when your water pump go bad it'll forced water into the stator area which is electrical confinement area

Had to replace it on my 17 highlifter 1000. Had the same thing happening out of the weep hose. Replaced that mechanical seal and it's doing the same thing when I refill it with water.

Ever seen the water pump make a whine noise? When my 850 is hot there's noise coming from the front of engine that sounds like a dry power steering pump

How did you know it was a water pump issue.

My 2010 Polaris sportsman 850xp has oil in the radiator. It does not smoke or anything. Could it be the water pump seal that’s letting oil get into my coolant? I don’t think is the head gasket so that seal could be my problem

Replacing mine for the second time now 🙄 mine leaked like that directly after being replaced as well.
