The chapters itself from "The Mimic " are long and pretty much harder but it turned out to be amazing as heck . I really wish that they'll not make them more harder and more laggy with the bugs that are in it ! Literally The Mimic is out of pocket ,so insane and scary also hard to done it though. People be complaining about how long and difficult the chapters is, and i get it. But that whats makes it even more fun. Learning how the chapter works, failing, and finally succeeding. I love the long and difficult chapters. Makes the game WAY MORE intense.
I think it is about feeling what the protagonist has to endure. Each layer has different hardships. There is also this lingering despair about trying to escape and saving your brother but in order to do that, you have to force yourself go further into the depths of Hell.
I think it's kinda worth it for us to wait this longer because the chapter turns out to be really amazing. Although it's quite hard. And there was also some bugs I've encountered in-game that forced me to rejoin. Honestly, I think that chasing part with the octopus monster would be literally hard to get through especially to me, a mobile user. And the last chasing part with Shikigami? It will be so difficult. Like it keeps lagging during the chase. The first two chase parts is OK but I don't think the last chase would be easy for me. Overall, I really love the new chapter except that I haven't finish playing it. It's hard to play it solo

If youre willing to try it out definetly clear up your schedule beforehand, SPECIALLY if your gonna do it alone and arent good at chase scenes since there are multiple of them without warning that are very tedious to go through even with 4 people in the lobby, theres also the parts where theres no respawning or checkpoints and you have to do a long task so if all players die you will have to start all over again with all of the progress erased

The chapter was decent, but I feel like a lot of potential went to waste. There were a lot of new mechanics and puzzle challenges, but it mostly felt like a chore simulator and barely ever gave you time to breathe without having to do a new task already. Seems like they've been prioritizing graphics more than ever lately over genuinely well done gameplay..

All Glitches i've encountered while playing (on mobile) First chase sequence bugged after the monster killed me. When it respawned me it spawn killed me and then the monster went away. Infinite Stamina after that happened. My torch randomly dissapearing (doubt this was intentional) When getting killed by the monster that comes out of the ground in the parts with the bells I freed myself but was stuck in place and my body was still in the hands of the monster only got unstuck cuz of my friends. The monster at the bell part with the screen shakes was just a bit glitchy I don't know how to explain that. The chase sequence where things that weren't supposed to fall blocked the exit. The part with the dad is just a big mess my sanity died and nothing happened not sure if it was supposed to. I was playing with friends and my friend died and didn't respawn when the night restarted and when we died they suddenly got respawned and beat the night for us after fleeing from the garden into the market and stalls away from the house. Not even needing to go in bed as it just didn't kill us for some reason. The part with the larvae I got stuck in the water puddle on mobile. It didn't make me uncrouch and I was stuck in the puddle only got out after repeatingly trying to get on the rock which barely worked. The part with the houses in the forest it randomly kicked me out of the house and respawned me when I just entered. The boss fight was just torture we originally had 3 people but 1 left and it regenerated so much health and my phone started to lag again. The chase scene super difficult on mobile with opening the doors especially when ur somewhat laggy. (Also buggy) Last but not least the ending cutscene not triggering at all.
Those saying it’s “difficult” you have to actually spend time on it, yes I WAS playing with some friends meaning the last boss might be harder but for like the house with the dad you can either watch a tutorial or keep on trying and eventually figure it out
Me and my friends played this on nightmare mode and got to the last boss. All my friends died and I was the last one left. I died I’m still traumatized (I didn’t know we couldn’t revive)
our character should be able to beat some of the monsters one-on-one with the help of a weapon, from what we saw in this chapter he was able to turn a 6-ton metal structure

This chapter was ok. Graphics wise it is easily the best out of all of the chapters. Gameplay wise, it is worse than chapter 2 but better than chapter 1. Muc needs to focus on making the game scarier instead of making gameplay much more annoying. These new chapter's difficulty is so absurd to the point where it isn't even scary in the slightest. The game only made me jump once.
This chapter is definitely made for single player. I just can’t stand when people say that the chapters are too long. Like bruh, that’s why they added a save feature! USE IT! Also I get the frustration of the game crashing but it’s Roblox, what do you expect? Also the chase sequences are suppose to be difficult, as they’re all trial and error. And people who say it’s nothing but a chore game just confuse me cause like, isn’t that kinda every horror game. Was this chapter perfect? No. But was it good? Yes. I feel like the biggest issue I had was the fast pacing. I don't know, it just didn't have the same impact that the older book did, probably because it is so packed with action. Sometimes, you just need to walk around, and not just get scared by something chasing the player, but by the eerie concepts and enviroment too. Slowburn stories are also great from a storytelling perspective. I feel like they should've divided this chapter into two, and focused a little bit more on worldbuilding too. This way, the 'hard' parts wouldn't also feel to overwhelming to a lot of players. For example, I really liked the part where the player had to go through Sezai's memories, and the train station. They were the easiest part of the chapter for me, and yet, the concepts were so eerie. An abandoned trainstation, and Sezai's corrupted memories about what I'm assuming is his not so great childhood.

I played this with my friend for the first time (i almost never played the mimic) and it was super long but actually super fun, maybe its harder and less fun alone but i recommend calling with a friend because it could get annoying and difficult , unless thats fine for you. But in my opinion it gave me a great impression ,it just was buggy sometimes in the house
So after completing this chapter, I would say it’s pretty good. Though it was boring and long(1 hour and 44 mins). On my second run, I was softlocked(glitched out and couldn’t do anything. During the dodomeki chase, which was annoying and I didn’t play after 10 days. Just completed it and, I would rate it a good 7.4/10, even though other says the chore part was boring. It was actually pretty fun to me(since it was only 3 nights).
I honestly despise this chapter in its current state. I tried playing the game alone and it was so broken. Constant crashes and bugs it was a nightmare. The only way to even progress in the game was to play multiplayer and start without anyone joining. It feels like it wasn’t optimized for mobile at all, I constantly keep crashing and had to rely on saves to even get me close to the end. I would’ve been fine with a difficult chapter heck I can even imagine myself doing this on nightmare, but the constant crashes and bugs makes the game feel unbearable (I made it to the shinigami chase but kept crashing on it). I honestly love the levels but it’s just a chore to get through them when I keep crashing
I beat the chapter, it was VERY hard but I ended up having a lot of fun with it. I played on the PS5 which held up graphics well and it didn't really have bugs.
The mimic developers add so much effort and creativity into the mimic which makes the game so much scary and also nice meanwhile other developers don’t care about their game the mimic is based on Japanese urban legends and plus yurei might be a urban legend but don’t think she be fine irl tho she might be I hope this can be helpful for new mimic players or players that don’t know about the game

Honestly i'd like this chapter if the bugs and glitched weren't there and maybe the gameplay a bit better cuz it genuinely had some cool ideas. Like you're literally trying to escape hell, but everything feels like a chore. Get hearts Get food for the monster Buggy Chase Scene Do this "puzzle" basically just being memory and trying to guess a code 2 times when a obnoxious monster that's faster than you shakes your whole screen and kills you which makes the whole game glitch. Then you basically have to "clean" the house and do a rythym game or you glitch outside of the house and beat it that way. Feed them larvae Only part I liked is the one with the objects... even then I wish the monster would've had more of a presence and it's not just the statues. Then you use swords to kill Yurei which is so annoying and borderline impossible on mobile. Then another hella annoying chase scene. Like I don't hate the chase scenes, but they aren't clear on where to go and sometimes take too long yes it looks cool but that's kinda it.
I feel like this chapter is better despite the bugs. It actually focuses on aspects of horror and has more in depth detail of what happens in game. The gameplay sucks and doesn’t make sense somewhat but it’s not as worse as chapter 2. Chapter 2 restated Chapter 1’s storyline and acted like the kiirobara (idk how to spell it) cult doesn’t exist. It was more action than horror wise. The gameplay wasn’t good because it never made sense even with the lore. It felt like chapter 2 was a add on if you think about it. But the scenery and quality is great!

I keep on getting glitched out of the map (I think so at least) at the second chase scene every time I play and its so frustrating! I haven't heard anyone else have this issue but when the black and gold man is chasing me I die and then get teleported to this big maze? It has the gold save statue so I don't actually know if it's intentional or not. Its also just a bunch of long hallways but they don't have roofs and there are holes in the floor. I've tried jumping down them to get me back to the actual chase scene and it doesn't work. I also still hear the music for the chase scene. This has happened three times when I playing with 2 people, 1 person and just by myself and it just keeps happening😭😭😭
hi guys! I'm currently experiencing a Bug. so for context, I'm playing this Chapter 3 solo and I saved my progress on the part where I have to feed the larvae. Unfortunately, my game bugged out for me as i'm trying to load up my game and after talking to the npc (the big worm) my game is not updating the quest so i'm literally stuck at that point. is there any fix to this? do I need to fix something on my end? i'm really close to ending this chapter but I don't want to start over again. ty in advance! Those saying it’s “difficult” you have to actually spend time on it, yes I WAS playing with some friends meaning the last boss might be harder but for like the house with the dad you can either watch a tutorial or keep on trying and eventually figure it out

Chapter 4 is harder
This chapter was ok.
Graphics wise it is easily the best out of all of the chapters.
Gameplay wise, it is worse than chapter 2 but better than chapter 1.
Muc needs to focus on making the game scarier instead of making gameplay much more annoying.

Also I get the frustration of the game crashing but it’s Roblox, what do you expect? Also the chase sequences are suppose to be difficult, as they’re all trial and error. And people who say it’s nothing but a chore game just confuse me cause like, isn’t that kinda every horror game. Like I’m pretty sure Resident Evil, BATIM, and FNAF all do the same thing of roaming around collecting items while the monster looks for you. I do agree though that the Yurei boss is way too hard.

Was this chapter perfect? No. But was it good? Yes. I feel like the biggest issue I had was the fast pacing. I don't know, it just didn't have the same impact that the older book did, probably because it is so packed with action. Sometimes, you just need to walk around, and not just get scared by something chasing the player, but by the eerie concepts and enviroment too. Slowburn stories are also great from a storytelling perspective.
I feel like they should've divided this chapter into two, and focused a little bit more on worldbuilding too. This way, the 'hard' parts wouldn't also feel to overwhelming to a lot of players.
For example, I really liked the part where the player had to go through Sezai's memories, and the train station. They were the easiest part of the chapter for me, and yet, the concepts were so eerie. An abandoned trainstation, and Sezai's corrupted memories about what I'm assuming is his not so great childhood.

I played this with my friend for the first time (i almost never played the mimic) and it was super long but actually super fun, maybe its harder and less fun alone but i recommend calling with a friend because it could get annoying and difficult , unless thats fine for you. Was a good chap but me and my friend kept bugging in some parts and had to keep rejoining which took us 2hrs to finish overall
So after completing this chapter, I would say it’s pretty good. Though it was boring and long(1 hour and 44 mins). On my second run, I was softlocked(glitched out and couldn’t do anything. During the dodomeki chase, which was annoying and I didn’t play after 10 days. Just completed it and, I would rate it a good 7.4/10, even though other says the chore part was boring. It was actually pretty fun to me(since it was only 3 nights).
I honestly despise this chapter in its current state. I tried playing the game alone and it was so broken. Constant crashes and bugs it was a nightmare. The only way to even progress in the game was to play multiplayer and start without anyone joining. It feels like it wasn’t optimized for mobile at all, I constantly keep crashing and had to rely on saves to even get me close to the end. I would’ve been fine with a difficult chapter heck I can even imagine myself doing this on nightmare, but the constant crashes and bugs makes the game feel unbearable (I made it to the shinigami chase but kept crashing on it). I honestly love the levels but it’s just a chore to get through them when I keep crashing

The mimic developers add so much effort and creativity into the mimic which makes the game so much scary and also nice meanwhile other developers don’t care about their game the mimic is based on Japanese urban legends and plus yurei might be a urban legend but don’t think she be fine irl tho she might be I hope this can be helpful for new mimic players or players that don’t know about the game

Do this "puzzle" basically just being memory and trying to guess a code 2 times when a obnoxious monster that's faster than you shakes your whole screen and kills you which makes the whole game glitch.
Then you basically have to "clean" the house and do a rythym game or you glitch outside of the house and beat it that way.

Only part I liked is the one with the objects... even then I wish the monster would've had more of a presence and it's not just the statues.
Then you use swords to kill Yurei which is so annoying and borderline impossible on mobile.
Then another hella annoying chase scene.
Like I don't hate the chase scenes, but they aren't clear on where to go and sometimes take too long yes it looks cool but that's kinda it.
Chapter 2 was great though. No reliance on jumpscares and genuinely good puzzles
I feel like this chapter is better despite the bugs. It actually focuses on aspects of horror and has more in depth detail of what happens in game. The gameplay sucks and doesn’t make sense somewhat but it’s not as worse as chapter 2.
Chapter 2 restated Chapter 1’s storyline and acted like the kiirobara (idk how to spell it) cult doesn’t exist. It was more action than horror wise. The gameplay wasn’t good because it never made sense even with the lore. It felt like chapter 2 was a add on if you think about it. But the scenery and quality is great!
chapter 3 was more scarier than chapter 2 imo. But Chapter 2 gameplay was good but Chapter 3 was only decent

Actually this is easy only the lag makes it hard i beat it with my friends and the gameplay super fun the only hard part of it its Yurei boss fight and the father to train is the most easiest to me and also don't complain if it to lag i think ur in mobile cause me using pc and also it has save to it so when u quite or kick out u will just join u saved and also the book 1 is way more harder to me cause it has so many maze unlike this just chasing and puzzles that ain't hard :)

I keep on getting glitched out of the map (I think so at least) at the second chase scene every time I play and its so frustrating! I haven't heard anyone else have this issue but when the black and gold man is chasing me I die and then get teleported to this big maze? It has the gold save statue so I don't actually know if it's intentional or not. Its also just a bunch of long hallways but they don't have roofs and there are holes in the floor. I've tried jumping down them to get me back to the actual chase scene and it doesn't work. I also still hear the music for the chase scene. This has happened three times when I playing with 2 people, 1 person and just by myself and it just keeps happening😭😭😭

I'm currently experiencing a Bug. so for context, I'm playing this Chapter 3 solo and I saved my progress on the part where I have to feed the larvae. Unfortunately, my game bugged out for me as i'm trying to load up my game and after talking to the npc (the big worm) my game is not updating the quest so i'm literally stuck at that point.
is there any fix to this? do I need to fix something on my end? i'm really close to ending this chapter but I don't want to start over again. ty in advance!
