I really love my copy with my wired headphones! The ability to fine tune the sound is fantastic! I wonder if iFi will ever let you store various sound profiles so I don't have to re-set for each headphone/music. I've yet to figure out how to use the BT function via my M1 MacMini with my BT headphones.
Other reviews have said the sound signature is a departure from usual [warm sound signature]. Would you agree with this? What I mean is, some have said it is more transparent or neutral like most DACs on the market.
i would agree more neutral than warm but the difference is slight and unless you are comparing back to back it is hard to tell. It is more revealing and honest than other iFi DACs-doesn't have as much coloration.
5:00 Not really. Sure jitter is a factor but USB standard itself degrades the signal. Pi2AES hat on a Pi4, connected via real glass optical cable to a DAC; same exact files on the internal SD card and USB SSD storage connected to the pi4. Same files, same data lanes, same clock, same jitter, everything was the same and the files sounded slightly better on the SD card. That is when I decided to never touch USB for my hi-fi system.
Sigh, talking about jitter like its very big issue these days and moving to loseless BT mentioning loosing the jitter.... Like the BT give 100% straight data and has zero jitter... really. Okay.. just clicked not intrested in channel.
Love ifi products and looking forward towards getting one of these.
Ordered! Can this be used with an Xbox series X or PS5?
@@Dr.Dan_K if you bay Creative Bluetooth BT-W5 you can stream by BT

Can you switch between the front/back outputs? Ie, can you listen to IEMs or headphones only if you have active speakers connected too?
Is their a power supply upgrade like the other ifi products have?
It comes with the standard iPower MK2. My suggestion would be if you want a power upgrade to go to the iPower Elite
