Looks like you took a dry bite from the Aphonapelma chalcodes, the desert blonde tarantula. The fangs weren’t in long enough for a good envenomation, but she also won’t waste precious venom on something she can’t eat.
I find it kinda funny that I've lived in Arizona for 25 years or so and I never got stung until last October in 2022 lol I don't rly fear them anymore, but I am more cautious now and when I see them inside, I catch them and take them outside. Admire them from a distance
I think Mark is a little too “nice” when it comes to rating the pain… especially the lesser painful ones. If anything is like a bee sting… it shouldn’t pass a 5 on the BWI. Just like people in the doctor’s office… INTENSITY: -Doctor: “Rate your pain on a scale from 1 to 10.” -Mark “It’s a 10 doc!” No no no… the closer you are to a 10, the more likely you need prescription pain meds because you can’t even form words…. The pain is so bad that you don’t think about going to the hospital, your reaction is to get there ASAP…. You are begging for pain medication… But you’re too busy lying on the ground, writhing in pain. Example: 1 = a quick from your friend 5 = a purple nurple 10 = someone pinched a big portion of skin, twisted it as far as it can go, then cut it off…. 10 should make me feel it at home. AFTERMATH: Measured in type of pain (i.e. “bond breaking, tingling, stabbing, etc)…. x intensity x time x long term and/or permanent damage. The thing that gets me here… is that certain events can be lessened and/or eliminated with certain remedies. That adds another variable that should not be accounted for when testing the bite/sting… You test remedies separately. INTIMIDATION: Not the best category because it is the most subjective. Someone will most likely judge differently when they get stung/bit by something for the first time versus the 5th time. Two people will judge differently. People are intimidated by different things. What makes something more intimidating than something else? Are people more scared of big ferocious animals or small creepy crawlies? Are fangs, spines, spikes, or stingers more intimidating? Are flying, climbing, or ground-dwelling creepier? What colors are most intimidating? What about how many legs, they eye shape, etc??? Is a reptile ir arachnid more intimidating? ….Yes, intimidation can be a factor to a small to possibly moderate degree… but it’s too vague and varies by person. I think Mark gets excited and gives bites and stings higher points than they deserve… especially in comparison to one another.

My son was stung by a bark scorpion it doesn’t hurt that much he said it was like a beast sting and it was identified we took him to the hospital
