As I'm finishing up my application and about to submit the documents, I became curious as to why different organizations ask for unofficial and official transcripts? Is it because some are national organizations? The sorority I'm interested falls under the MGC. Why can’t they check our gpa with the registrar’s office? Is the sole purpose of providing transcripts is to verify that oneself is on good academic standing gpa wise? Do they confirm their admission that our transcripts are real?
Hi Liza! All of these are such good questions! If i'm being completely honest I have no idea why they do those different things. I can't even remember what I turned in on my application! I'm so sorry and I wish I could help you better!
