That looks awesome. It's on my menu for next week's meals. Also HOT TIP .. If you've got no puff pastry to make the little ones, just use some stale bread (or fresh) and using the top of a glass, punch out some circles. Butter one side of circles, pop into muffin tray and bobs yer uncle!! AWESOME for after school snax or while watching footy. Hope you don't mind me popping that in the comments. Just thought others may not have any puff pastry in the freezer but DO have half a loaf of bread the kids haven't bogarted, hehe. YUM. I am LOVING your channel and I quite literally am making my way through all your savoury recipes. My family are loving you too. I tell them I'm another Aussie girl who can cook now too. Keep 'em coming and thanks for all your hard work.
i dont mind at all mate i think its great that you can imput and help someone. i do have a recipe on here for beef and corn tartlets were i use bread same way only i use a rolling pin on it first. have a lovely day Lisa and thanx mate xo
They look delish! I must get back into quiches. The chickens are laying more eggs than I’m eating and I’m getting quite a backlog. A few quiches will really help. It’s a bit too warm in my house to put the gas oven on though, so I guess that means it’s time to try out the convection setting on the microwave. I like the square pan. You get a much nicer filling to pastry ratio than a shallow tart tin. I’m definitely gonna try that!
if you have a bbq with a big lid on it. light 2 end burners on low. close the lid for 10 put quiche in at opposite end to burners close lid have a look afta 20 see how its going put lid back down keep going. been 8 years since i have baked in a bbq so cant remember the time. as soon as i get mine fixed i will bake heaps of stuff in there. have a lovely day Monique 😁
@@aussiegirlcancook nah mate I haven’t got one. I was planning to buy one about 6 years ago but then my neighbour got a second over barker dog and I get barked at every time I step into my own yard so I avoid going out there as much as possible. I just do what I need to for the chickens and then get back inside as quick as I can. Her teenage son then moved back in a couple of years ago and plays a lot of really loud music so now it’s doof doof woof 😂😂😂 Well, more of a yap than a woof but that doesn’t rhyme lol. When I move a BBQ is definitely on the list, but for now I’ll keep hiding inside. I’ve defrosted some chicken breast and have some mushrooms I need to use up so I’m about to go do that now then once they cool I’ll assemble it and get it in there. The convection setting should work. I’ve baked scones in it and they were great. One of these days I’ll try a roast in it. In some ways it’s probably better than my gas oven as I can never get the temp on that exactly where I want it to be.
Made it for our dinner tonight because I had a chook in the fridge. What can I say but your the best. It was soooo yummy. Thankyou for your easy and delicious recipes
Omg that will be going in the lunch box 👍😁 I can do them in a big batch and freeze them, thank you so much. I think my 2 year old will also like them because it's finger food. I also love your idea for being able to do them in the cup cake tin and add or leave ingredients out. Winner 😁
I'm loving your budget/frugal recipes. There are always a lot of people new to cooking for themselves, because of the current situation [ iso / money a bit short etc. ] and was wondering if you could give newbies a pantry staple rundown. I know that I have most of the same condiments, as well as dry goods in my cupboards, but it could help new cooks to start to stock theirs. Also some basic must have tools and pans.........I know I nearly cried when my favourite sweet wooden spoon [yes I have one for custards and sweets and one for savoury so the flavours don't mingle] broke. Never found one that felt quite as good in my hand, had it 20 years 😢 😆
Oh yum!! this is perfect, especially for a lazy weekend lunch..... thanks so much for sharing..... Q: how long do you think they will store in the freezer????
They look fantasmagorical AG. It has been so long since I had a good quiche. I remember when they would say real men don't eat quiche. Yeah, then they would home home and eat quiche. Lol
sorry about the noise in background its really hot had exhaust fan and other fans going all over the joint xo
All good.
