You're doing well guys. I need your comment on this, I applied for my I-20 with a bank statement from my uncle. The school, Michigan Technological University indicated that my uncle should give me an updated bank statement to complete the I-20 process. My uncle was delaying so I came across Mpower financing which I applied for and was approved. Then I used the Mpower loan approval letter to apply for my I-20. Now I have received my I-20 form with educational loan as the only source of funding my education. I have now received the updated bank statement from my uncle and I wanted my school to update my I-20 with my additional source of funding but they have indicated with two different email responses that "I-20 cannot be updated once issued. That I should add my additional source of funding to the visa appointment." My question is, how can I present a bank statement at the visa interview if it did not appear on my I-20?
in this case, the visa officer cannot recognize your bank statement as an additional source of funding because it wasn't in your I-20. Be strategic, if you know the loan is enough to cater for your expenses and tuition for one year, go ahead! Explain to the VO how you can live comfortably clearing your interest payment every month and you'll be fine.

I have a question, If you won't to submit a Bank statement of your Uncle as a proof of financing your studies, Doesn't the University of Embassy ask you to prove that the person you are calling your Uncle is really your Uncle??
