Hello Afrikan Traveller, welcome to my country Ghana, we embrace you! Glad you are enjoying your stay, and great Nappie is looking after you. I've been to Nairobi, Kenya, and your country is beautiful - the infrastructure is dope, and yes the culture of drinking tea, coffee is the norm there. The architecture is certainly different. It is difficult to compare Nairobi and Accra because of their different but beautiful characteristics. Accra is beautiful in its way and Nairobi is also beautiful in its way. Thanks for sharing. Hopefully will visit that beautiful country some day.
Let's say Accra is developing faster now. She still has to catch Nairobi, which has been one of the most modern African cities. I grew up in Accra, but I am still amazed at how fast it is developing. I have not been there in 7 years. There is no need to compare such cities. London for example might not be one of the most glamorous European cities, but she can hold her own on many things. I still really don't like this emphasis on glitz. We need to develop where most of our poor people live. They don't need much, but decent and basic infrastructure.
@@yawos9024 I absolutely agree. I live in Nairobi and the beauty of Nairobi is no longer in the Central Business District but mostly in its suburbs. The measure of development should touch all sectors equally hence the need to upgrade both business and private dwellings equally including planned and serviceable residential infrastructure. Cities such as Addis Ababa just bloomed in a short period and still growing at a fast pace. All these developments are very good and Africa needed them badly, they should take into account all sectors of society. I think Kigali planned well.

You're correct in your self-realisation. Per-capita GDP does not reflect wide disparities of income and wealth.
