I’ve been listening to this here in Colorado. Never been to Ecuador, but I’ve been to Switzerland, and I believe the reverb and echo to captivate the feelings of being in the tall mountain valleys, and the rhythm and depth is what brings the South American vibe and culture to the music. What a wonderful blend, truly matching the American West.
Saw these guys play here in LA this summer at the Masonic temple at Hollywood Forever cemetery and they were totally spellbinding. They had the whole audience, the room itself, in the palms of their hands.
When I heard their music I hear the landscape, the landscape of Ecuador, the landscape of Mexico, and specially the beautiful Coahuila (the northeast) and its desert and mountains.
idk how and why I came across them, i think it was because we share the same surname, but I fell in love with their music. They are a perfect compliment to "Los Tiros" which is a local band in my country that plays western music style so is cool to kind of have the same kind of vibe.
Adrian Quesada's Boleros Pscicodelicos & Hermanos Gutierez live in Austin. KUTX is killin it with these live sessions and I want more. Makes me proud to live in ATX!
