  • The Worksaver electric grapple is awesome for the homeowner and part time tractor user needing a grapple. This system does not require the expensive third function hydraulic kit added to the tractor in addition to the cost of the grapple. Tim states that this unit will come in ready to work for just around the $2K price point. Price will differ by location. It is rated for 32 hp tractors and below, but I see it being a home run in the subcompact under 25 hp tractors. As many of you know, I am a big Worksaver fan, and they have hit another home run making something for the Homeowner, Hobby Farm or Homesteader. It weighs 247 lbs and is perfect for a subcontract Tractor.
    We challenged Tim to place one on Tony’s Tractor Adventure, and he accepted! We look forward to demoing this in person. #worksaver #kynfms www.worksaver.com
    This thing is a wicked grapple for the subcompact market. Worksaver makes Everything you could want as attachments for a tractor or skid steer.

    I just bought their hydraulic version of this grapple. I have used it for 3 days now and I really like it.
    I went with the hydraulic over the electric purely because of price point. My L2501 Kubota doesn’t have a 3rd function. I routed the hoses back around and through the tractor.
    A disadvantage that I am going to have is I don’t have quick disconnect at the hydraulic cylinder. I plan on rectifying that most “Ricky Ricky tic”
    Great interview. Worksaver makes great equipment and their prices are highly competitive.
    I got my Worksaver hydraulic grapple for $1000 cheaper than I could get a Land Pride grapple.

      There are several aftermarket third function kits for the Kubota. I did a video installing a third function valve kit on my TYM T264. The kit was made for a Kubota.

      @@TonysTractorAdventure Thanks Tony. I have already looked into Summit Hydraulics. The kit alone is $800. I don’t mind using both levers and in just a couple days, I have gotten pretty used to it.
      I grew up with mechanical loaders and having to use 2 levers. This is nothing new to me.
      The real shame is that when I bought the tractor, Kubota was offering some year end sales incentives where I could have gotten the 3rd function for next to nothing. I really made a bad call there.
      anyway, I really love my grapple. Very handy piece of equipment to have here on this farm. I wish I would have had one years ago.

    Im new to your channel but i am really enjoying the content. I really like that electric grapple. I have been studying on grapples for some time now and i watched your video on installing the 3rd function. Very informative. I would like to see those guys ( work saver ) build a bigger electric grapple. I have the RK55 and that particular grapple seems to be a bit small. Btw, that was a great and informative interview. Thanks for sharing.

    • @TonysTractorAdventure
      @TonysTractorAdventure  2 роки тому

      You will need a hydraulic grapple for the RK55. The electric one would not hold up.

    You should come to Illinois and tour the factory Tony. I live 3 miles south of there you could stay here and play on my GC1723E. Maybe we could get Tim to bring one by? I have lots of trees i pushed down that need to be moved lol

    I don't understand why they don't make the lowest horizontal arms of the grapple stick out even a foot to help pick up the brush. With the design as it is, you must rely on the clamping force to lift the whole weight of the brush pile.

    • @TonysTractorAdventure
      @TonysTractorAdventure  4 роки тому

      It is made for a subcompact tractor. The clamp force is far superior to the tractor.

    Wish I’d seen this before I got all the stuff to add aux hydraulics to my GC1723... on that post driver; could you come up with some sort of magazine, so you could just drive down a line and fire posts into the ground as you go? 🤔

    Very interesting! Curious what's that weight of that grapple (or did he say it and I missed it)? Everything Attachments has a good size of the grapple market for sub compacts, primarily because of their mini grapple comes in at 250ish lbs (and, it's proven product).

    • @TonysTractorAdventure
      @TonysTractorAdventure  4 роки тому +1

      Worksaver is a family company and I have know him for three years. They have been making grapples for years. The are well known in the skid steer market. This grapple is made for the subcompact market. The hydraulic version is 208 pounds which is the lightest out there. It is still strong enough the subcompact tractor can't break it. The electric one is 240lbs.
