Wow that's awesome 👍😀 thanks very much. Was pleased with how it came out, got some ideas for the next one. Haha I know that pain but I can highly recommend Hail Caesar and Black Powder - Great rules 👍
I realise that this is a very late comment, but in case you haven't seen it anywhere else ... To get more "mileage" out of your casualty figures, put them on bases, and number the edges of the bases - 1,2,3,4 for a square base; 1,2,3,4,5,6 for a hexagonal base; and 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 for an octagonal base. When 1 casualty is suffered, place the edge marked "1" next to the unit's base. When a second casualty is inflicted, rotate the base so that the "2" is next to the unit's base, etc.
Cool. Just found your channel and saw this video and recognised the Heraldry. My ancestors the De Quertons came over with William the conqueror and married into the Hastings family which over time changed into the Whartons. We still have that Manche or sleeve in the Wharton coat of arms.
Brilliant, welcome aboard, Hastings is one of my favourite characters from the period, you will find him and ia heraldry popping up alot in games on the channel 😁
Wow! Excellent Battle Report, great production, camera angles, background music, etc, even color representatve dice!!! Looking forward to seeing more...you now have lot to answer for, am now looking at WotR with Perrys as a new period, And its all your fault!!! Ta, ps, love the T shirt, Lemmy RIP.
Thanks very much 😁👍 really pleased you enjoyed it. Tried to make the game as easy to follow as possible, have some ideas for the next one which we have planned. Will happen as soon as we can be in the same room again. The perry stuff is lovely, so many options 👍 Got to love Lemmy and Motorhead 🤘
Great game. Very much enjoyed the layout, table and painted figures. I have not played hail Caesar in a long time but has inspired me to get it off the shelves again. Thought you edited the film well. It plays very nicely, thank you.
Thanks very mich 👍 pleased ylu liked it, i dodnt want the vid to get bogged down on the movement as you say there is alot of rolling before anything happens. Focusing on the combat seemed a better way to go (though with my rolls may be not 😄) We have another one planned, leading on from this one

I do prefer using them to counters, I'm currently trying to think of something I can do to show disorder however turning one base around seemed to work well The stamina of a standard unit is 6 (I'm used to 3/4 in blackpowder) and we had 20 however my opponent had forgotten his hence we ran out. love your videos, I was wondering if i might crave your momentary indulgence with a question. I have had a 20 year break from wargaming and recently decided to get back into it. I now mostly got 400 models painted up for 15th century historical 28 mm models and built myself a rather large table to play on, The reason i quit 2 decades ago was my issues with my suspense of disbelief. I like a good individual sense of each model like in warhammer battle, but the weirdness of some rules (for playability reasons) of many gamesets really became an issue to me as i became a re-enactor, a rider, a HEMA practitioner, and then became professionally involved by working at the Royal Armouries and the Dutch Army Museum. It just seemed to me that movements, ranges, modifiers and numbers of turns just were really off. is there a good gameset for 200-odd models a side 15th cenury warfare simulations that you can recommend? i know my sensibilities are a bit weird and i don't think people should necessarily agree with me on the basis of game mechanics, playability and fun. On a sidenote, maybe i am not looking properly, but what is your background? it just seems you know what you are talking about. Is it general interest or do you have re-enactment or historical background?

Yeah this is using Hail Caesar with Army Lists from the Perry Miniatures FB page 👍 Hail caesar is also made by Warlord. To be honest i cant see why you couldnt mix them all in. The Wars of the roses start because of the end of the 100 years war so alot of kit would have been passed down. Ive mixed in a couple of earlier figures and 1/2 my casualties are from the agincourt set.
Yeah we did with one exception, we changed the household troops to medium infantry using the stat line in the main rulebook so to differentiate them from the armoured foot knights who we left as heavy infantry 👍
