never been a fan of Rent, sorry to say, I tried liking it, I think it's just one of those unfortunate works that would go on to be endlessly copied and imitated that even the 'original' begins to sound cheesy at some point. I'll give it another listen, I promise
I definitely think it's overdone and it has some holes in it that I wish Jonathon Larson could have lived long enough to patch up, but it's got such a big heart... and COME ON this is an epic eleven o'clock number!!!
