Bought a 1LB Norwegian Salmon filet. I’ve never cooked salmon in my life and watched this. I skipped brown sugar because I don’t have any and it was still AMAZING. This recipe is legit. First time using an air fryer and salmon came out quiet yummy. Crispy outside, but juicy inside, better results compared to cooking in foil (using oven) Thick steak cut took about 12 minutes at 200C to be fully cooked
I made this for dinner tonight (with the homemade seasoning mix) and it worked perfect! Super delicious. I loved the slight sweetness of the brown sugar. For a side dish, in case anyone needs ideas, we roasted potatoes/broccoli/bell pepper in a medley.

I tried this rub on my salmon for the first time a month ago and my husband and I love it. I make salmon three time a month now. I have also passed this recipe to family and friends
Thank you for this recipe. Was in a Harry to make dinner and your video came up first. It was quick and easy. For Black or African moms, I put the salmon in for 20 minutes instead of 10. Ours were thick. The rub is delicious but because it was on only one side. My family only ate the seasoned side and left the rest of the unseasoned meat and I’m looking at it now. I’ll probably season it with the extra rub and slightly cook it again. Also I washed my salmon before patting it dry. Just some pointers for African American moms like me who will use this recipe. The rub is delicious. Next time I’ll use butter instead of oil for that buttery taste. And honey instead of sugar. Otherwise please try this recipe it’s really good
I prepared this with the handmade salmon rub you provided in an basket air fryer, O.M.G 😮!!!So good 🎉! Sweet, tangy, savory. It was my first time grilling salmon. Oh and the salmon was caught by me lol so that was even more satisfaction for me! Thank you so much for this edible recipe❤😊

I wanted to try salmon in the air frier since I always seem to mess it up on the skillet and oh my gosh, I will never go back. That salmon rub is to die for and so easy and doing the garlic with the micro plane was also a game changer. Only changes I made was doing skin side up so it crisps more and doing the rub on all sides.

Hi, thank you very much for sharing us the excellent recipe and amazing video, I have 2 questions, 1-is it the same method of cooking salmon with skin? 2- what I have to choose when I cook, is it a bake, roast, or air fry option? because seen lots of videos cooking it in different ways so what is the best way?
Hi :) Great questions! For this recipe I prefer to use salmon without the skin. But you can still make it with the skin. Also, I use the air fryer setting when cooking the fish. I hope that helps. Enjoy! :)
Thanks for the rub recipe, I made some today and used the rub on my salmon, and also put some on my butternut squash before I roasted it, they both were delicious.

Normally pan fry my salmon so was a little wary to try in the air fryer, but I’m SO glad I tried cos it was delicious and no fishy smells and oil all over the stove top! Am a convert!
I have the Air Fryer Pro rack. Purchased the pre packaged 8oz salmon and it had the garlic butter on top already. I didn’t want it to drip so I used foil around the salmon and it helped with the butter not leaking all over. (Use a bit of non stick that was my mistake it stuck to the foil). 400* at 18 min. I let it rest 3 min and restarted the fryer for another 5 just to kill the fish. Came out great! I cooked it on the middle rack below the spinning rack and I’d say 22 min is what I’ll try next time. Hope this helps…
I hope you love this air fryer salmon! I actually have a lot of air fryer recipes! They are on my blog/website. I only have a few of those recipes with a video. Here is a link to my air fryer recipes- simplyhomecooked.com/category/air-fryer/

If I skip the Brown Sugar can I still achieve a nice savory taste for this recipe? Or perhaps substitute grated lemon Zest perhaps? Thanks for any suggestions.
Hi Jerry, you can omit the brown sugar and it will still taste yummy. You just might not have that slight caramelized flavor that the brown sugar would provide.
Hello Karla, we have tried multiple different air fryers and we found that the Gormia air fryer is one of the best. It’s affordable and strong enough to cook meat for optimal crispness.Hope this helps 😊

Usually my wife cooks the salmon, but this time she wasn't feeling well and asked me to do it. I used your recipe and it was amazing. My wife got jealous because of that. I wish I didn't use your recipe because every time we buy salmon she will ask me to cook it 😅 By the way, I cooked it in the oven On 400° for 15min.
Thank you so much for this wonderful air fryer recipe! It’s very easy to prepare and cook fast. I made it twice in two weeks. The fish tasted great. However, both time the fish skin was stick to the rack and can’t be removed. I forgot to spray oil to the rack of the air fryer at the first time. The fish skin glued tightly to the rack. The 2nd time I did spray oil on the rack, but the same thing happened again. Please advise how to prevent this from happening again. I was hoping to have those crispy fish skin to enjoy. Thank you so much!!!
Hi :) I am so glad you love this air fryer salmon recipe! That's a great question! I have never ran into this issue since I always use the fish fillet without the skins. My best advise would be to grease the bottom of the fish skins along with the air fryer rack. I hope this helps.

For the Cuisinart Air Fryer used in the video, there is no option of pre-heating. Which mode (Bake, Broil, Air fryer) and which baking tray position is recommended for this recipe ?
Hi :) It doesn't have a pre heat option. Just turn it to that temperature and give it a few minutes to heat up. The bake setting will work great. The most important thing is to check the internal temperature of the fish to see when it is done. My tray only has one setting that it may go. The other level is for the rack. Hope that helps :)

I'm so glad this recipe intrigued you! Keep me posted on how it goes!
This stuff is soooo good best way to cook salmon. I make it spicier and it’s amazing
I’m so glad you enjoyed the recipe!
Just cooked this and looooved it! I feel like a real chef. Thanks!

Hello, which air fryer you guys recommend😊?
Really nice recipe
Thanks in advance
Hello Karla, we have tried multiple different air fryers and we found that the Gormia air fryer is one of the best. It’s affordable and strong enough to cook meat for optimal crispness.Hope this helps 😊
I''m making this today for luhcn with a fich called "gata". THanks a lot!
Hi! Tell me how it goes😊
@@SimplyHomeCooked THe seasoning is jus delicious, but it didn't go well with the fish. However, I will still try it again with salmon this next time....
@@momsfactory4866 happy to hear you like the seasoning. Every fish has its own distinct taste :) I hope you enjoy it with the salmon :)

@@SimplyHomeCooked Here’s an update I tried it last night for dinner, And it was Wonderfully Delicious. I have the Ninja Air Fryer as well as the basket so I opted for the basket with your Temp. I did add a little extra time on it and it came out excellent and moist. Thank you.

Temp and cook time are key to salmon, I wish you mentioned that more than the rub.

Of course, I am so glad you are enjoying all of my recipes!
Usually my wife cooks the salmon, but this time she wasn't feeling well and asked me to do it. I used your recipe and it was amazing. My wife got jealous because of that. I wish I didn't use your recipe because every time we buy salmon she will ask me to cook it 😅
By the way, I cooked it in the oven
On 400° for 15min.
I'm happy to hear she loves the recipe so much! Thank you so much for the feedback😊
I like your salmon rub, I also add about a teaspoon of Old Bay seasoning, and it punches up the salmon taste. I also use this on salmon croquettes.
Thank you!
Listen!!!! That rub is fire!!!!! It is beyond delicious!!!!!!! My husband loved it!!! It is now a staple in our house forever!!!!

Same to you!
Quick ,easy and straight to the point. My kind of dinner 😊
Glad you enjoyed the recipe 😊
Hi! Is it still 400F for the heat for 10mins if you use a basket air fryer, or should it be different? Thank you!
Yes, keep it the same temperature, but it may take a little longer in the basket air fryer.
Looks amazing!!! It looks just like the blackened salmon from California Fish Grill restaurant.
Wow. This was so delicious! Thank you for sharing a wonderful recipe. 😊
Thank you so much! Enjoy the recipe!
Charming video
Thanks for the tricks ❤
I tried it today and it is amazing, so quick and simple!
Glad you like it! :)
I made the air fryer salmon tonight and used your homemade recipe for the rub…delicious!! I used slightly bigger pieces of salmon so I cooked them for 13 minutes at 400 degrees….perfect
