Stop buying HP printers. They are garbage. I have had them for the last 20 years and they are terrible. You cannot use your ink cartridge beyound the expired date. HP programs them to stop working when it expires even though they are still half full. Speaking of half, the cartridges come half full, if that. and they are over $1000 to buy. HP are just raping us with the cost of the ink cartridges. They suck. Never again. Getting an Epson ET.
You're really depends on which HP printer
Everything worked as per the instructions on this video. Thank you.
Great to hear!
I had a local seller who sold me refilling ink for this kind of cartridge system. Of course, it clogged the printhead....
I then bought Original quality InkTec ink for HP950 (mine was actually a hp963). I used that brand for about 10 years in the previous hp printer with hp62s. Worked like a charm. I guess, the moral of the story is only buy the highest quality of trusted inks. Can recommend Inktec.
Can recommend this cleaning solution aswell.
Thank you for sharing this info!
Too much talking about what does not pertain to cleaning the printer😢
Oh no 🫣
could not see what "holes" you stuck the tubes into.
I am getting a "missing or failed printhead" message after trying this. Any suggestions? I see I'm not the only one.
Im getting same thing after JUST printing a perfect black ink only document. Odd. Have been having issues with Yellow.
I bought your kit this week & tried it on my HP 8600. I should have read the comments below because your process did not resolve the issue with the yellow cartridge in my printer. So bummed. Any other suggestions on resolution?
Try warming up the cleaning solution and reapply.
I followed the instructions printed on the box of this cleaning kit. I let the print head dry completely, and reinstalled the printhead. Now I have an erorr that says "missing or failed printhead." I received an email the day after I received and used the kit. It tells me that I may reach out for additional help via the order details page on Amazon, but I found no help or 'ask a question' options. I'm reaching out for help after using your kit.
Replace the printhead with a Genuine HP brand printhead kit.
I bought this. First it would have been helpful to show how to fill the syringe without losing the solution due to vacuum pressure. Second, it was not easy to attach the hose to the print nozzle. Luckily I have a pair of craft tweezers that helped to reach into the cavity. The print head is now drying so we'll see if this worked or not.
Sorry for the trouble you had, thank you for sharing.
Did it work?
Doesn't recognize the printer cartridge
You may need a new printhead.
What printer do you recommend that doesn't break the bank.
Most Hp envy models.
I bought your kit and tried it on my HP 8600 because the magenta cartridge ran out of ink but replacing it caused a new error message "There is a problem with or ink system. Turn system off, then on. If problem persists, contact HP." No phone number or web site mentioned. I was hopeful that this would be the fix, but sadly, no so. Do you recommend a dependable printer/scanner/fax that has a legal size flatbed?
Did you ever figure this out? I'm having sane issues with the same printer
@@leontaewilliams2253 same here; any solutions???
Do you have any content cleaning the printhead on a dell printer? More specifically a v725w? and/or any advice for doing so?
Yes I have a video for that exact model here, ua-cam.com/video/pRhnNA7pTQI/v-deo.html
I purchased this cleaning kit. Used 20ml and it still did not work. My pages are still blank. Do I have to use the entire bottle of cleaning fluid? I only use black ink. Printer works in every way except printing... Help! Thank you
Yes, repeat the cleaning process and make sure you have enough ink. Buy new cartridges if you have to.
Cannot find a product link for recommended printer when 1)cleaning printhead doesn't work and 2) new printhead doesn't work. Thanks
hello
I have 8600pro also. It shows printer failure. I tried to reset as described in HP support. But still does not work. has genuine cartridges new.
this printer actualy has a option to clean the printhead!
Yes but this is for when that doesnt work. Because many times it doesnt.
I can't get the syringe attached to the nozzle. Hints?
My mistake! The instructions were very good; I followed them 2-3 times while cleaning the printheads. I looked at another site and could see the pictures of the nozzles more clearly and completed the job. We'll see in 24 hours how well this worked. Thanks!
Your directions worked well. At first today the printer wouldn't stop "preparing the printer" and wouldn't turn off, so I unplugged the printer for a few minutes. Upon plugging back in, it appeared that all except the last cartridge inserted were "empty", though full or nearly so. The printer started a realignment; when done, I ran a "setup/reports/quality report", and all was well!. Thanks.
Can I return the remanufactured inks you are recommending if I am unable to get the HP 8600 printer to work? I purchased the print head cleaning kit you recommended and it now accepts my original black HP 950xl cartridge, but it shows an "X" next to the 3 color cartridges as they are almost empty or too old and corroded.
Yes
I am going to try the solution and see if it clears the printhead from magenta not printing. Its a cheap alternative to seeing if it fixes the problem. If it doesnt, its time for a new printer.
This should work for you.
*sigh* should’ve read the comments 🤦🏻♀️ guess I’m buying a new printer
I cleaned with your kit but cannot get past the cartarge error. & put white paper in and it keeps circling between these two. HELP what is next. I cannot get to the maintenance to clean the printer head from Maintenance.
I had already purchased a $10 kit from Amazon...bare bones instructions. Thankfully I found The Printer Guy. I was expecting to be left with a black only printer and with knowledge from this video I'm back to four color printing. Many thanks.
Hi. I cleaned and serviiced my printhead changed with new cartridges and the printer still gives me message " one or more cartridges appears to be damaged etc...". Any hint?
Thanks
you may want to change the print on your printer
I am getting extra ink printing on the top or bottom edge especially when printing duplex. After cleaning with your kit, it printed well for a short time, but then the issue came back. Would replacing the printhead solve this issue or is it time to replace the printer.
Great video and just ordered your kit! I fear I may need to warm the solution given the lack of colors when printing. What is the method to warm the solution and how hot does it need to be? Just lukewarm? Thank you!

@@BestPrinters Thank You! I performed the cleaning exercise (twice) and purchased new set of inks per your recommendation and colors are back!! 🙂 The yellow seems a little dull however, but I will print a few more things and see if it improves over time - certainly a lot better than it was - thank you!
Good to Know! I have an HP-7001
Nice!
Great teaching I do handman type of computer repair but usually i won't deal with printer issues, ths is right on time
Glad I was able to help!
Did you unplug the printer before removing the printhead? That was not clear to me. Thanks for the video.
Yes, you will need to unplug the printer. Good question!
Replace the prinhead with a Genuine new HP printhead with start up ink.
Any recommendations on printheads?
@@leontaewilliams2253 You have to shop very carefully. Look for the Genuine HP brand Kit.
Thanks!
Wow, Thank You!
Thank you
You're welcome
Should’ve shown an option where it didn’t entail buying your product . Didn’t come for a sale pitch 👎🏾
