So, so sorry for the long wait y'all! I'm so excited to show y'all my apartment tour :). What do y’all think the drawer below the stove is actually used for? Growing up, we used it to store pots and pans but I’ve been hearing lately it’s to keep cooked food warm. Let me know what you think down in the comment below!
Kori!! Your apartment is GORG sis!! I’m so excited for you and I learned a while ago that the bottom oven drawer is a warmer for cooked food HOWEVER my parents have always used it as extra storage so I’ll keep that tradition alive when I move into my place 😂
I’m in this same boat of trying to find a place in the Portland area after getting a new job opportunity. I swear the rental market has gone a bit crazy. I’m still trying to narrow down the places that I have a true interest in while keeping the cost of parking in mind (coming from Georgia… this is new for me). Congrats on finally moving in! 🥳🥳🥳
I loooove that you showed us all the little things like the outlet and the fridge water thing- THIS is the shit my nosey ass looooves to see hehe. Congratulations on the new space- welcome to Portland!
Hey Kori! love the apartment! I BELIEVE the bottom of the oven is an oven broiler! U can cook food down there! (lol can also store pots and pans!) but u can cook, brown, char or caramelize food!
I absolutely love this apartment it is exactly what I am looking for and I would love the details!!! I found something similar but I am in love with it!!!!!! I love your energy and personality!! I subscribed :)
yay i love to see it! im myself from portland oregon so to see someone else that does social media out here is amazing! hope you been enjoying your time here! ☺
Been watching a lot of your videos! I’m preparing to move to Portland soon for a job at Adidas and your videos are helping with the transition process! I’d love to know what apartments are these if you don’t mind. Thanks!
@@korimaria Well since I’m only on my 3rd week, I think it’s to soon to say, plus all I have I’ve been doing is eating lol. But I’m excited to explore all that Portland has to offer. Hiking is on my list, especially before it gets to cold. Girl you ready for the snow? Lol
Contemplating a move from Chicago to Portland, this was REALLY helpful! As a fellow Midwesterner, what are the vibes of the city? Are you finding the food and different entertainment venues pretty decent? Also….love that apartment! Do you mind sharing rent? I’ve watched a couple different videos about moving to PDX and loving the idea! And love the idea of never having to shovel snow again 😂
Definitely very different from the Midwest but not having snow is absolutely wonderful! Endless amounts of food and nature, gotta do some searching in downtown Portland to get other good entertainment otherwise. Around the time I was looking, rent was $1800
Ahh!! So I'm moving to Portland in a couple weeks and am going to be looking for apartments while i rent a room from my aunt in the meantime. I would love to email you or something to maybe see where this is located?? The fact that it has AC and checks all the boxes is amazing and its just a beautiful place. Lmk if I can reach out on any socials/email for a location! i promise i won't be creepy! lol
This apartment is gorgeous! I'm currently finishing my degree in Engineering at Oregon State and plan to move to Portland after graduation. If you decide to move, will you be telling us the name of this apartment complex? It feels way too weird to ask you the name while you live there but that apartment checked every box for me and some. Also how much is the rent there?
Hi! I just found your videos and I love them so much! It’s super inspirational as I’m hoping to work for Nike in the future. I just started my Junior year so I watched your internship videos and it’s getting me excited and anxious. I’m looking at apartments up there right now, I’m curious what the name of the one you chose is? It’s gorgeous! If you feel comfortable Dming me the name of it :)
Going into my freshman year at college for business marketing and hoping to land a job at Nike!!! What’s the biggest advice you have for me to stand out more then others
You definitely want to know the brand and what it means to you. Also, go into the interviews being yourself and confident in your abilities and what you bring to the company. Those are def key in standing out
Hi! I sent you an ig dm since I wanted to know the name of one of the communities in your last vlog-I'm gonna be apartment hunting in PDX soon! Hopefully you see it since these are a bit older videos :)
Hey girl, I love your video! I just got a job at Nike, so I'll be moving to Portland at the end of this summer. I'm apartment hunting and would love to know more info on the apartments that you looked at. Please DM me if you feel comfortable sharing :)
I tell all single women buy a security stick for your frontdoor. When my daughter went off to college 2nd year she was living with 3 other girls in apt thats what she used at night

It’s a toaster
It's a toaster/boiler. Do not store in the drawer...lol... it should use the same heating element as the oven.
listen sis aint no body toasting in that thing.... its glorified storage lmao
What’s this property called?
that thing under the stove , just store pots and pans tbh
2:40 I use it for toast ❤

Ahh thanks so much, Jasmine!! Girl same here... I guess I'll go ahead and keep the tradition alive too 😂
It’s a warming drawer to keep food warm but I’ve only ever used them for storing pans and stuff lol

Hey girl, I've heard of that! I'mma have to try it out sometime because I only use it for storing pots and pans loool
Yep. Even though it's *technically* a broiler, it is really a cookie sheet/cutting board storage drawer! 😉

You have the cutest kitchen! That’s a huge refrigerator. I live at home and that’s just a normal size fridge for 4 people currently living at home.
Definitely understand that coming from a family of 6. To God be the glory!
I’m so excited for your new journey!!! The apartment is really really nice
