I think they were going for 90's sitcom vibes, because this collection totally screams Friends to me. ColourPop doesn't strike me as the type to even know who Pearl Jam or Alice in Chains even are....
Colourpop does some cute packaging, I wish they’d get into the refillable compact or just compact mirror game. I am tempted by so many things they’ve released (lip stains, lip cremes, blush sticks and ss blushes, palettes) but so much that I want comes out so quickly that my wishlist gets unreasonable and I decide to not get anything. Their swatches are always so unreliable too, and it kills some of my enthusiasm. I thought these shades would be more in the grungy griege or cool toned, almost purplish or bruisey looking shades. And they’re just like- normal shades.

I honestly love this palette, I rarely wear colors and when I do they’re either pastel or muted, I’m not the biggest fan of brights. I love the grungy colors and liked the rosy taupe shade, which is one of my favorite colors against my eyes and what their taupe palette didn’t have (which is understandable due to the colorstory). I also loved how it reminded me a bit of the hocus pocus palette, which I honestly loved, I loved the color story but I guess I’m just alone on that one. I definitely will get this 🌻✨
I’m so happy that they are releasing new velvet blur lipstick shades! Those are my favorite formula (great MAC powder kiss dupe)! I super appreciate all the comparisons, it is very helpful in deciding which shade I need in my collection! I wish there are more brown lip shades like the ones from Brown Sugar collection. But still pretty!

I think it will help me past the temptation to buy every new Colourpop pallet as my collection can now dupe most anything they come out with! This is the first full collection I’ve bought from them. I think it’s partly because I’m a 90s kid too, but also love the lipstick and blush formulas, and the palette is deceptively complex. Cannot wait for it to get here.
I actually was super interested in the grungy green in this one but the other colors not so much so ended up ordering another original Hocus Pocus Palette. That one by far has the most unique beautiful shadows EVER released

Colourpop Lux lipsticks are amazing, the formula and wear time rival some of my more expensive lipsticks, and the packaging is beautiful. My favorite shade of all time is "Little Snow", from their Frozen collection. It's the perfect berry reddish pink for my fair blonde complexion, it's so smooth and long lasting too. When I saw its inclusion in your swatches, I was reminded of how much I love it. Ready for Fall and some darker colors! 🍁The eyeshadow palette is pretty, but I already have those shades (which never stopped me from buying a new Colourpop palette before!)

The palette makes sense to me in the 90s context, but I grew up in the 90s and for lipsticks I would have definitely gone for some darker, almost shoe polish type shades like a deep dark warm brown, a super dark red (not plummy or pinky), a deep dark berry, a true bright red (look at Courtney love or Kat bjelland in the 90s), a light frosty lilac, a true brown, a light frosty nude, and a matte supermodel nude. I honestly don't recall cool greiges from the 90s, only in modern 90s throwback/grunge revival looks.
Was a bit disappointed with the palette! The packaging ALMOST got me, but those colors are just done to death :( Still beautiful but I won’t be picking this up! Thank you Amanda for your hard work and hope your arm is less stained now!!!

I was a kid and teen in the 90 the lipsticks don't really remind me of the 90 I used to wear those brick red lipsticks matte and dark shades. Since I joined colourpop I was trying to get a Grunge rock collection. I think the pencil can do it for me like Grunge Girl. I still listen to Grunge rock music and metal. There are some colors that are very pretty I like the palette but at the same time not sure cause there are so many warm colors on t. Love the olive shade on it and the burgundy but it is heavy is gonna be pricy to ship outside the USA. Really appreciate the color comparison.
I was so excited for this collection at first from the initial promo pics swatched on a purple background. Then I started seeing people get pr and the lip pencils, lipsticks, and blush stix looked different. Sad that they're mostly the same old kind of shades they usually have. Colourpop should really stop doing swatches on colored paper, it really throws off the colors...

I was really confused, but as well liked as this collection seemed to be, I didn't want to miss out, so I just paid. But I've noticed that allot of the new collections aren't giving me the option to use a discount code. Same thing happened with the Tinkerbell collection. Any ideas why that is doing that? I really don't like the Blush Stix info being printed on the container. I got the Cabana Club collection and almost all the printing on all 3 sticks has nearly rubbed off & I have no way to tell which one is which without popping them each open. I really like the purple blush stick in this collection.
Its pretty but other than the lipsticks I feel like I can create a lot of the same looks with others paletts. I will probably get a lipstick but that's about it.
Aw man the only thing holding me back from buying this is the gross velvet detailing on the palette- its so cringy for me to touch, i hate that texture lmao 🤢 if it was smooth like the box, id buy that!
I just wanna know what the team is saying in these meetings about all their collections being the same lol it’s wild how much they repeat and go for warm neutrals, especially with so much backlash from people who want more. I guess the people buying every collection matters more than the unhappy people lol
This collection does not scream 90s at all. Black and brown tone lipstick, black eyeliner. Grunge smokey brown with other Greig tones and maybe a brick. Last to dust or maybe Melrose pallet would have worked better.
The packaging, name and colours do do not scream 90's nor grunge! Far too many pinky shades in the lipsticks and not enough variations of brown shades or cool tones! They could have done way better 😏
90s makeup was hella ugly. Nobody wants those pencil thin eyebrows drawn on the face with a sharpie and the blue eyeshadow was that looks like you got punched in the face. 😬

I'm very pale and got regulate. It looks a lot like my natural lip color. I love the formula, it doesn't feel too dry on my lips as a matte.

The packaging, name and colours do do not scream 90's nor grunge! Far too many pinky shades in the lipsticks and not enough variations of brown shades or cool tones! They could have done way better 😏
90s makeup was hella ugly. Nobody wants those pencil thin eyebrows drawn on the face with a sharpie and the blue eyeshadow was that looks like you got punched in the face. 😬

That outer packaging is so beautiful for the palette, and I was expecting rich reds inside, but the actual colors are very underwhelming 😔
