The secret to a perfectly mixed track is to put the drip plug-in on the master.
Just 2 clicks...and its perfect
Sausage Fattener + Drip Plugin + Soundgoodizer on the master
@@chiefgarvey11 😳
Have you guys seen the smile on Kyle's face . Just two clicks and its perfect 😁😁
@@Wranglinjanglin of course how dare they forget CLA vocals the best of the best😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I came for mixing tips ended up relating to kenny.
lol same
A couple things RE: mixing.
1. Low volume in the room lies to you about how Bass frequencies will smack when it’s cranked in your car or your headphones. Gotta alternate between cranked speakers and dimming to understand where it’s gonna land.
2. Sum your master to mono. If you can’t get all the elements to sit well in mono, either you have phase cancellation and you need to EQ, or something needs to go.
I didn't see any mention of distorting your 808s or adding a drip plug-in so I can't take you serious man, nice try though
Fun Fact: Kenny Beats was the mixing engineer for most of the Freddie Album
🐐 level 💪🏿
The whole time he probably thinking "that sucks, that sucks, that sucks"
For someone who’s an actual mixing engineer you’d think he would be better at explaining his mixing process
@@tyrellturner5602 everyones not a teacher, but he is doing what he can for us FOR FREE!....and we all appreciate it, you should too. 😒
@@googleedood9721
Lol I never said I don’t appreciate him explaining shit. I just said he doesn’t do a good job of explaining shit ( at least in this video)
Ain’t no need for you to get all salty fam😂 You gotta realize there’s a difference between hatin and giving constructive criticism. And what I was doing was the later.

CLA vocals on the master
I enjoy the mixing process just as much as creating the beat. It's more than just making it not suck for me. The beat making + arrangement is like coming up with the idea and that's super fun but the mixing is where the magic happens. I love it because that's when I get to make it fully deliver the emotional impact I want it to. And I'm fascinated with the idea that you can make a song sound impressive and resonate just right even on phone or laptop speakers.
if the magic has to happen in mixing your song is shit, it should already be good before mixing and then mixing gives you the best presentation of the content that's how I see it anyway
@@tjthegreat7 i usually do most of the mixing as i go so they're good to begin with but yeah that final step of giving it the best presentation on any device is pretty fascinating and magical to me
@@tjthegreat7 and i agree everything should be recorded properly and all that first
im learning to love it
Love watching kenny and seeing what his mixing and leveling is like
I appreciate you sharing your knowledge bro! I’ve been making beats for 20 years and still learning new stuff everyday. Much respect in sharing your gift! 💪🏼💪🏼
This is the most relatable aspect of producing I’ve ever dealt with. Tysm I thought I was ass
Just put on Ozone, two clicks and it's perfect!
I just put an ableton stock limiter... yeah
@@akhileshnair13 i put two of them
Kenny accidentally giving me the arrangement tips I needed in the second half made my day much easier 😂 bro the 🐐
He makes it seem so easy its amazing to watch
Your a legend for bringing this to youtube
The best producers keep it simple, tight percussion with bass line and a catchy melody. If there is to much going on nobody can focus with lyrics on top.
I came to learn about mixing but ended up wanting a friend like KENNY🤧🖤
Production: 2 hits on the stone and it’s perfect
Honestly the way you are talking about loudness is so on point.
these videos helps me a lot
bro I thought this was a police psa then this man started talking about melodies and basslines and realized it was Kenneth Beatington.
Fliko vc é monstro! Obrigado por compartilhar esse conteudo, muitas vezes nao consigo acompanhar as lives do doctor Kenny. Abraço!
The key to mixing your beat is to send it to someone else. Your ears just get tired and nothing hits hard enough then and u just end up confused. It's hard to reset yourself
Word. This makes sense and helps alot
I relate to this so much
Hey I just listen to this and....it’s perfect
god bless you fliko
whattttt awesome!
Big gems in this video
helped me a lot
fire
Shout out Kenny for the knowledge
first stream i've seen kenny hashed out things that i already know. yay me.
Right? Inst it kinda satisfying? 🙌🏿😆
@@googleedood9721 coming up in the world
I'm still lost
LETSSSSGOOOOO
So basically he's talking about building up a coherent beat instead of trying to find the perfect melody.
This beat is sick
Bruh it was such a great session!👍🏿
Guy who studied Guitar/Music at Berklee: "Can't tell you about 9th or 13th and all that stuff"
Me: "yeah sure"
honestly... Especially since if you learn major/minor chords and how to build them (which they taught us that in middle school) then you basically know 9th and 13th cause those are just extensions of that.
I get it. I went to school for music (not berklee obv) and there was plenty of "simple" things in music that I never learned despite going over it every single year but I learned a bulk of it eventually ya know? I just would've thought he had a moment where that specific thing made sense to him finally by now since he's surrounded by high performing musicians.
@@slackjack8901 he’s capping yo
was just thinking this lol. i bet what he means though is that he couldn't tell you all of that stuff on a keyboard, but he probably could on a guitar. that's how it is for me-- i could tell you all that stuff when i'm playing it on a guitar, but as soon as i take it to a keyboard it's all by ear man haha
eu fico imaginando tua rotina pra gravar as streams e soltar no dia seguinte hahahaha parabéns mano
FLIIKKOOOOOO
This was such a great show last night. Kenny had 1300+ producers up all night hahah 🤣.
Thanks and props to Kenny for the lessons and the good vibes. My lady and i had a good time to that beat 😉👍🏿
It's so trippy that Me and Kenny Think exactly alike, even the way he uses Ableton it's the same way I do and I'm all the way out in South Africa.
Same and im out here in sweden
Kenny be like “sewthe two”
FLIKOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
MIXING IS WAAAAAY MORE INTERESTING THAT THE OTHER THINGS MENTIONED.
FlikOooooooOooooooo
Whenever picking sounds for a beat make sure your shit works well together at the very start of the creation process. It will def help later in the mix.
i am billionare right now
My concern is why can't I ever remember the melody after I leave? I mean they're all hard as ever but they don't stay with me. It seems like the songs from the past are so easy to remember. Maybe that just me.
gang
Question: when he mentions raising the volume of his mix. How? Does he mix with his master set low? Does he raise the faders on his channels? Does he use a utility on each channel? How does Kenny raise the volume all at once in order to discover the differences in sounds being loud, off, to low?
i'm confused but it's also true
lmao
I'd suggest trying to get the master at -6 to -3 db. That gives you more room to master. However, there aren't really any rules other than stay out of the red.
I'm shitty at mixing but does this make your beat louder? like the more headroom you have, what do you use to get that loudness?
@@notprosperBEATS Yes, it allows your song to be louder overall, while still having a lot of bass.
I have never related so much in my life
"wall of sound" what hes explaining is basically the same thing as a bunch of muscians sitting in the same room playing different notes of the same chord or scale
8:01 wtf is going on in the chat lmao
7:57 sometime I hate too much bass
Let's see what happens gonna next
making abeat is additive... mixing is subtractive
ok but where can I listen to the song
yo which track has this become h
opefully?!
Can someone teach me how to put all the things together
The comments on this clip killing me fr
Guy in the video haven't heard about all you need is two clicks
Glue compressor
Where can i get bass preset like this?Anyone?)
omnisphere has some like that but you could make something similar on any synth as well 👍ua-cam.com/video/3MJh6uBMbAs/v-deo.html
i dont think he realises when he goes in depth about how he solves issues it really helps
dadd bhriss
but I laugh on mfs that think they will know chord,
they will make crazy melodies.. it's all about vibe, specific.
actually the chords help a lot cuz they can act like a framework for melodies, but you can still fuck up your melodies even if you have the coolest chords lol
Petition to make Kenny take off his hat 👇
If you're here, you are probably serious about your music.

Hi. 🙂
Please, let us pray together. Dear God who art in heaven hallowed be thy name thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil for thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever in Jesus Christ's name we pray amen.
1 Corinthians 16:14
Let all that you do be done in love.
Philippians 4:19
And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Jesus Christ.
2 Corinthians 1:2
Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
May all suffering end as we give thanks this day. May God's face shine upon us forever on Earth as it is in Heaven in Jesus Christ's name we pray for His name and for His sake. Amen.
Kenny never uses "reharm" right
Sort of makes sense here but the explanation is really roundabout. But essentially isn't reharmonization just using different harmonic content to recontextualize your melodic content? Generally it's probably done with chords but you could get the same effect from a bass.
I'm no expert on anything tho so please let me know if my understanding is off.
2 CLICKS
But dawg, like you kinda want to be kinda quiet before you master
just put sausage fattener on the master and your mix is good
matute sureda en el chat,si estas viendo esto deci algo

sucks.
