For those of you complaining about the engines being from China you should take into consideration where other brands are manufactured. Honda's, Triumph's, Ducati's and most notable brands manufacture their bikes in Thailand. Harley's may be assembled in the US but 60% of their parts are manufactured abroad.

+PurityofEssence I would add that Scott tried to source as much as he could domestically, but was often turned down by domestic manufacturers because the parts would be used on a motorcycle. The engine is a Honda clone. Many bikes in Asia use the same or similar Honda clone.

I'd love to hear more about those 450 for the dirt, the 250's for the street are super cool though

I love the design of their bikes, and their simplicity. But I've heard bad rep about Tha Heist being a little poorly built in minor ways. Nothing like engine issues, but things like speedometer malfunctions, screws coming loose on turn signals, etc. I would love to own one, but I'm not sure if it's all true or what. Especially sense I have seen CCW directly answer these concerns. I wouldn't mind them increasing the price a bit for a better quality bike, I want one lol.

From everybody I have seen owning these it's about starting with a cheap base bike then moding it with better parts yourself. Even with expensive crap bikes like Harley ( I own one ) not many people keep them standard.

CCW has a modified heist that holds the land speed record for a 250cc bike, if I remember right.

I was actually considering buying one of these bikes for my wife until I found out that Cleveland is in the name only. Bikes are built in China ??? I'm sorry but I won't buy a bike built outside of the USA !! I can care less how cheap it is !

+Steve Cea Your computer was built in China, the electronics in your car and any motorcycle you have was built in China. Your TV was either built in Japan or China or any other country outside of the US. I'm sure you have a ton of stuff that wasn't made in the US so what's your problem with a motorcycle that's made of parts built outside of the country? Harley's might be built in the US at least the ones for the US market anyway, but only a few of their parts are actually made in the US. Furthermore what if you wanted an adventure motorcycle or a sport tourer, or a sport bike with ABS?

+Derek Jonez my motorcycle was built in York Pennsylvania near my home at the Harley plant located there so no idea what you are taking about

All the parts are made abroad but the assembly is mostly in the states is what i've heard. Its prolly cheaper that way rather than shipping whole bikes.
