Mikhail Botvinnik vs Mikhail Tal, Tal - Botvinnik World Championship Return Match (1961): D14 Queen's Gambit Declined Slav, exchange variation, 6.Bf4 Bf5
Akobian trying not to crack up is hilarious hahaha
+slapusillydawg հահահա :)
he's got a great laugh though
+slapusillydawg I'll put you to check xD That's were he lost it hahaa grateful for this one!!
He doesn't quite get there though does he lol
Hahahahaa
the way he hides behind his laptop and looks into the camera is just epic
The... the castle... right next to the queen. The rook you mean? yes, next to the queen
*Hiding behind the laptop*
Belfor09 And trying not to laugh...but his shoulders shaking betray him!
hahaha, I was laughing with him, and looked at the comments after to see this!
@@haroldh6678 I did the same thing, I stopped the video and wanted to write about that castle sht, and I realized all the comments are about that .)
GM Akobian - not only a fantastic player but also an incredibly good teacher. Definitely among the top 5 best chess commentators on youtube, along with Yasser Seirawan.
Varuz overload this week and I love it. PLEASE keep these coming.
haha his accent when he says focus sounds like.. something else. "focus focus focus. You have to focus for the entire game." 17:35
Sorry Var. I love your lectures.
It was more like "Focos".
+Jesus Rios What about "Fuck us"?
+psychoreaper86 Lol yeah that also.
Omg.. this is my favorite chess video.. ALL because of the guy that makes Var laugh so hard.. I have to watch it once in week..
7:50 Akobian trying not to laugh his ass off xD
7:34 Var having trouble with people in the audience not following dutch rules :)
who are these audience members that don't know the dutch rules??
well, it is better to follow
+Li Lee dutch rule no.2 : DON'T RUSH!!
+Li Lee can you explain what did the guy say? I couldnt hear it clearly,
Rule # 3 rook belong where in the end game?
Rule #4 don't raaaaush
I enjoyed this video a lot! Excellent way to teach and as an observer I have learned and I have had fun. Thanks!
8:52 Akobian finally gains back the composure not to laugh...
It's like Akobian's audience is full of people who literally just learned the moves. I can definitely understand why he's laughing. Great game by Botvinnick, though, even though I hate to see Tal lose.
Extremely strong space play by bottvinik.
loooooool he's hiding trying to not burst out laughing loooooool
I love how he can't suppress his laughter lol.
I didn't need move.. I need the plan.. thank you akobian!
GM Varuzhan! I Curse to show a bad game of Tal! But The lecture was great!
And keep moving the castle next to the queen!
I can only immagine how he laughed after he left lol
Great example of positional play.
What a beautiful game, wow
Damn this guy's a great teacher!
A lot a lot of patience with these pupils....
yeah...true - that made me chuckle too....but anyways...what had this woman to do in this course? given her unqualified comments? just funny though
They need to place Novices in a Novice class. If not enough Novices for a class then private lessons first. The one poor kid was still wondering what happened to the horsies.
Soooo.. Is it Botvinnik or Tal who is playing white? Cause the lecturer keep on saying that it's Botvinnik, while the title says it's Tal..
white is botvinnik, title states tal-botvinnik because it is a world championship match with two as champion and botvinnik as challenger. In the description it actually states (Botvinnik-Tal) for the game.
17:37
I think the kid thought the rook could attack the queen like a bishop. In which case Re1 might have been a good move.
If he thought that the rook could attack queen like bishop as you said, why wouldn't he say Raxc3
Il put you in check, yeah she did it emotionally, cause he couldnt stop laughing however he didnt want to insult her :) that was check mate.
Who is this genius "same guy" 😂😂
Imagine a Karpov Game - every second move someone would be... 23:05
around 8:45 Var has problems not laughing too much :D
looooool 8;00
was this a class full of drunk people? lol
Never play f3!
hahahahahaha
funny !
who is this noob that''s cracking Akobian and the net??? LOLOL.
Such a nice chap... mocking people, unable to control his facial gestures. If there is huge rating gaps within your audience, which you could have (or have) crafted as a lecturer, make sure you have enough emotional intelligence to handle the situation. If this was an isolated incident, well it was just bad scenery, but its widespread in Akobian videos. Disgusted by lack of character.
Exactly. I didn't like the way he treated her. It was sad. She seemed very childish but laughing is not a great thing to do. He could have simply told her that's not how pieces move.
oh shut up
7:40 Akobian wants to laugh so hard, he hides behind the computerscreen to laugh.. :D this is so funny
27:34 - "I'm taking you home with me. Tell your mother I'm single."
AHAHAHAHHAHA !!! :D
ah American technique of inserting a person in the audience to relieve the tension with stupid questions
in fact I think all americans have stupid questions either way xD
+Michel Nabil Your lack of education is disturbing.
+jddrew00 surprisingly for you, I'm a doctor ;)
+Michel Nabil Ah, so you have a particular educational smart lol. That still doesn't explain your ignorant stereotype....
***** if you checked my comment, i didn't mean any insult, actually my point of view states the following; asking stupid questions is the mean to become smarter, so of course its a way in the right direction, regarding your question, I live in Egypt, where the whole population is ultimately stupid, those don't know how to even ask stupid questions !! :D
9:40 The desperate stare of GM Akobian into the camera is just epic :D
He didn't know what to do with the student that was calling the rooks 'castles'.
Akobian always talks about D4 opening. Has he ever talked about E4? I'd enjoy to hear his opinion on E4 openings and tactics.
+Kirk K He'd focus on the spanish I'm pretty sure. I don't think he'd even consider the italian and king's gambit.
+Leon Stuij yes he would teach ruy lopez and french defence , but thats good i think :) very clasical and solid
Yes do a knight and bishop end game lecture
omg I can't stop laughing
I had to stop watching the video after that whole "castling" business happened. Wow. Couldn't imagine being Var there.
It would be great if you corrected the title to avoid confusion. It should be Botvinnik vs. Tal.
Bishop & Knight! Bishop & Knight! Bishop & Knight! Bishop & Knight! Bishop & Knight! Bishop & Knight! Bishop & Knight Video Please!
Why would anyone assist to a high level chess lecture when he doesn't even know the name of the pieces?
It's ridiculous... and making everbody waste their time.
17:35 fuck us fuck us fuck us
Such a shame having a GM lecture on Tal-Botvinnik Championship game and has to answer questions like what it means to gain space. What a waste.
hahahahahahahah 8:00 made my day
Chess is not for dumbs but u can't stop them from trying it. Calling rook a castle and speaking stupid things is too much coming from a person taking lectures.
14:38 his facial expression when he says passed pawn is the best
im not sure laughing at your students when they give you wrong answers is a great technique, but great game besides that.
Varuzhan Akobain gave Mikhail Botvinnik is real dues. Mikhail Botvinnik is the father of Chess.
14:40 The way he said passed pawn almost killed me, wtf, hahahaha
Can anyone tell me if this Grand Master has his own UA-cam channel
Yes
The boy was saying move the castle, Akonian " maybe we can exchange the queen", the boy " aha, that is what I had in mind"
When you say space advantage what do you talkin about ----- aah not again... :D
As always great stuff from Vazur! Thanks
i8 burst out laughing
🙏
If you don't even know the names of pieces or anything about the game, why on earth attend a GM lecture? This person should first learn to how to spell "chess".
Best part 7:30
