The heater is used to warm the bus up in the winter without running the bus. It is a boiler that runs on the fuel. there is most likely a timer on the dash that you can program the time to warm up the bus. It also warms the block, so that the engine is easier to start on a cold day. Mine was made by Webasto and was housed in a compartment next to the battery box.

Moved back to Vt for the past 6 yrs to take care of mom with dementia so she could stay in her home. She passed away 6/12 at 89 yrs old. R I P 😢 So built the shuttle the last yrs and half named Next Chapter.
Applaud your attitude and never giving up. It's just not in your nature all the years I have been watching that God bless you, you always return with upbeat faith that each day is a new day. You have been through some trying times of late and earlier in life as we all do, but again, when the going gets rough the rough get going and you are a perfect example. That's cool,interesting and would like to learn it as well,you can use those legs from seats to make rack ,for solar panels to the roof of your bus, but I'm sure you know that already 😊
