Happy to see Laura and Grant owning the farm now! Liked the farm wasn't sold to a developer. If they aren't sure of something they're not afraid to ask or look it up. Hears to another growing season! Cheers to all the farmers out there.
I love the excitement on your face while planting! Also, I struggled for years to tighten those hose clamps with a screwdriver, but recently switched to using a nut driver. So. Much. Better.
you explain really well, even though i don't understand myself in english, you explain so that people still understand what you mean, so two 👍👍 up for you and i mean that by positive😃😃
I see Scotty was doing his usual excellent job of supervising. I've been helping a friend of mine plant corn. The newest piece of equipment he's got is a 2004 kinze planter. All that new technology is nice till it goes all screwy.
It’s been 40yrs since I’ve been on the farm and planted. Thank you for making me feel like an old fossil. It amazes me all the technology that farmers use today. If your looking for ideas showing some of the changes in farming might be interesting. Love your whole fam. Thank you for sharing
They say " find something you love and you'll never have to work again" but you prove them wrong. You've found something you love, but the work is never-ending. It just feels so much more satisfying and something you can take pride in. I admire that. Have an incredible swason!!
First job in 1981, designing software for farmers, row crops, dairy, etc., all on huge 5 1/4" floppies. RadioShack Tandy PCs, room full of code writers. Retired NASA engineer husband-wife team's idea of retirement was to help our farmers become more efficient. Great intentions, just ahead of the curve, ahead of their time. Loved 'em, remarkable pair. Now, over 40 years later & we have full-fledged, software driven farming equipment & it still comes with lots & lots of hard work!! That hasn't changed. Farming is hard & our farmers are to be respected & appreciated. Grant & Laura are exceptional people, the kind that could succeed in many endeavors. But they chose farming! So excited to see multi generational farming families. You two rock, and make this YT fan very happy & very proud. You can continue planting now 🙂🫡
Planting! Let the good times grow! You both continue to amaze with your interface with both the farm and your viewers. Amazed at how many different "hats" you wear on a daily basis. Now comes the waiting time for those little green sprouts to poke their little green leaves through that Nebraska soil. You both work so very hard, yet make it look like fun. Your love for the land comes through in every Vid..... Looking forward to a beautiful informative Summer. Thank you for sharing with us....
Can someone please explain to me why I’m so excited to see these two planting corn? I’ve never been anywhere near a farm but I love this channel. So happy for Laura and Grant farming their own fields! 🎉😁🥳
Yes. How many people wonder where the food all comes from in the store. I hope a lot of people watch and appreciate how things get done on the farm. There are not always sunny days.
You're watching a young couple operate a machine that looks like a space ship on the outside and more complicated than an airliner flight deck on the inside and occasionally looses a part in the middle of an enormous field and then you're wondering why that's exiting?
I am happy for y’all getting back out in the field planting. Smell of the fresh spring air and and the scent of dirt, makes one thankful and happy to be alive. 👍🙏😎✌️
I absolutely love that you didn't even comment on the lightning going on in the rain/hail storm. Where I live that would be grounds for cowering in the church because the apocalypse has arrived. To you guys it's just... Tuesday.
Finding a gauge wheel is easy, just go to the end then count your 16 rows. One row will look different, start there and keep counting off 16 rows until you see the row is no longer different. Back up 16, that is the row the gauge wheel fell off in.
And yet another cycle from planting to harvest begins at Laura Farms. I do knowledge work from home and I like it but getting to see Grant and Laura work is something that does me good. It's also really fun when I'm driving around the country having some basic level of knowledge about what I see going on in agriculture and to be able identify pieces of farm equipment.
Awesome looking tires on that tractor. Going to be fun watching you 2 on your own continuing your life on farming...This is what you 2 were born to do...
Yes! it is all coming together, great job Laura Farms! I bet you both are excited. Grant are you following this right to repair Colorado started the ball rolling. I hope you have an awesome year.🙂
If certain equipment has a tendency to lose parts in the field, you could try mounting a cheap 720p camera to watch the rear of the tractor. Facing the parts directly would be ideal. Then if something falls and you don't find it immediately, you can review the tapes quick and see the exact moment it fell. Then reference the treeline or something and go pick it up. This is how we caught IED planters in the sandbox. (Except we used drones) Just an idea.
Scotty's such a nice cat, pity his one eye is damaged! How proud must a farmer be to have a wife like Laura? She's beautiful, friendly and a good worker, too!
Your winter maintenance on the planter looks like you both did a good job. Not too many problems. Didn't I see Grant put that item on that fell off and not you, Laura. 😊 Love from Mike. ❤
Followed your winter maintenance & travel adventures. Very nice. Always a pleasure to see you & Grant moving through the business & tasks of farming. Thanks for sharing. Work safe. Looking forward to following you this season. Keep an eye on Scotty. He wants to get too close to the action sometimes for his own good.
Grant and Laura back up and handle all that monster equipment better than a lot of people these days can back up a small car. Great job with all of your hard work Laura and Grant, Well Done !!
Corn in some of the fields is about 3 inches tall, and the farmer just planted soybeans in our farm yesterday, really good videos always interesting Thanks!
That was great Laura and Grant enjoyed it getting it in our planting is in in California and all is going down watering already you and Grant get it in the ground Larson still got snow.
Laura, this is absolutely one of your best videos! Great learning video! Your explanations are clear, concise and very instructional! For a non-farmer I’ve learned so much from you & Grant! Happy planting and here’s to a great 2023 harvest!
Laura, I am thrilled to see that you did a quick check on the Seed Tender trailer before you drove out of the barn. So many people make the hook up, then jump in the truck without making that last check
I think this is the first season I've followed you. So, observed maintenance this winter, planting now, looking forward to watching the corn come up, then harvest. On a micro scale I have a garden and monitor the same stuff.
Nice video my friend ❤❤❤♥ A very creative idea ❤❤❤❤ I look forward to seeing your designs. Congratulations on your journey forward 💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚
Boy you guys move fast ... those energy drinks really work !!! Good luck on the up coming season and keep the videos coming .... I never knew how much work goes into running a farm.
The start of another corn crop season.Hope fully all goes well and you have lots of corn, making it a great year and season to remember.😊🙃.Good luck ,God bless.Enjoy your channel.
Lol You and Grant need to teach the Larson Farm how to hang their tanks. Yes I know different tanks and different size machines but it seems yours are a lot easier to install and remove
There is a large number of various wheels which serve a huge range of functions on that entire set up. That's a lot to keep track of, and you two do it very good I like the sounds of the blower/vacuum system on your planter
That tractor is a beast, fully loaded and the big tires. Hail in the midw÷t? How unusual. Be well and stay safe. Bad weather, big machines and summer heat coming...
Hi Laura.. Great video, I particularly liked the slow motion on the work of the seeder.. I use the same system for recording sowing data and I find it very good, very precise. Happy corn sowing 💪🏻🇮🇹🇺🇸
Great start to a new planting season! All that equipment is both amazing and terrifying. Every time I see you crawling under those implements, I grit my teeth in fear for your safety. Here’s to you and Grant …. Best wishes for an awesome year on your farm! 😀❤️ Love you, Grammy
This has became my favorite channel on UA-cam "go corn huskers"

My 6 year old son love your tractor 🚜... I'm impressed how much stuff u can attach to it, and it's still manage to run......
those big tires is like a pair of comfy slippers you slide around on in the evning and just feel good

I am astounded by the skill and tech used for farming. As I sit at my desk in my warm office, I am having mad respect for you guys. Thank you!
Damn, that tractor cabin looks like it's taken from space shuttle,or from NASA flight center. It's insane )

A good start to the planting season. If your going to get hail, now is the time, not in 3 months. Hope everything goes smooth for your first planting.
Scotty looks to be the star of the video

Thank you Laura for keeping us all fed:-)
You cannot eat what they grow. That corn is a raw material that goes to make ethanol/biodiesel.
@@godoftheinterwebz Yes here in Arkansas most all corn is feeder corn used in animal feed,What about their Soybeans?
Still a sweet ass tractor setup! Glad spring has sprung.
And it begins! A great season for Laura Farms!!
