Great Video . Did you face any issues with tailgate closing module after battery change? My ML63 was sitting with dead battery for sometime and I did install a new MB battery but tailgate wont work now. I get A24e60 and mentions VIN doesn't match. Someone suggested dealers needs to code it but I'm looking for options.

I did not have that issue myself, strange that it thinks the VIN doesn't match. If clearing the code doesn't help, then I'm afraid coding may be the only solution. Although a dealer is not necessary, just a shop or individual with the dealer software. Your best luck will probably be finding a good independent MB/German car specialist in your area

What's all this positive first thing? Surely negative first? The hard thing these videos always skip is actually lifting the thing out!

Totally 100%. It is a nightmare trying to lift this stupid battery out. Mercedes should have made straps that go underneath the battery so that you can grab the strap on the left and right side and pull The ass end of the battery out first.

Yes negative first, not sure what happened there lol. Could not get any useful angle pulling the batt out as its an awkward position and my garage was packed.I have had better luck rotating it 90 degrees and then dragging it out

Could be a module issue for the seats, what does your scan tool tell you?

@@SamAbraham the seats work with the scanner tool an the modules dont show up on the diagnostics as issues but it does have problems connecting to the seats but the motors an switches work through the tool so im stumped

@@jasonwestwood5155 W164s have a seat control module for each seat, its a part shared with the W211. The seats work with the tool likely because the tool is able to give the seat the commands and bypass the module in some way. My guess is that the module needs to be reset, but your tool doesn't recognize the modules which is annoying. Here's what the module looks like, it should be under the seat: www.ebay.com/itm/272925284767
While you could try unplugging it and plugging it back in to reset it, I am not sure if that will work. You also just might need a new module
