    That's a heavy bugger! I impressed you got it out with such ease. As always, great, easy to follow videos with additional information, especially that tiny brown wire for the auxiliary battery.

    Mike, I loved your video. But so you know, to take the seat out and just do the replacement is much better. it is only hold by four screws (easy to remove) unplug the electronics under the seat and you have free room to work on and replace the battery. it is very heavy and to change that will make it simple and fast. Thank you for all info. Marc

    didn't watch but just came here to comment because saw a few other videos on your channel about the ml350 and think mine is the same year, I was gonna request if you're bored you could make a video on removing the front sam, I saw people take out the battery and go that way, but the manual is saying since Nov 2007 to take out the door trim, then pop off some other trim, think lower b pillar, then unscrew the plate above to access it without removing the battery. I got stuck and was afraid to break something when removing the trim so think it''s easier to just take the battery out as I'm going to try later today, it also said need some long wedge to remove the trim. I checked everywhere and didn't see any videos with this method, except for one guy but didn't show how to do it, so I was gonna say, if you're bored this would be a good video for you to make next

    Great video! Clear and easy to follow!
    I had to jumpstart my ML550 (W164) earlier and based on the wisdom on Google there’s a started battery as well under the hood? Or is there only 1 battery underneath the passenger seat? I couldn’t find one under the hood, but it’s Mercedes and lots of it is hidden and hard to find lol.
    Thx!

    Hi Drew
    Great video like all of stuff.Qick question.Im going to get a little bit of Mig welding done ( on the rear airspring holding stud) Can I just disconect the battery at the under bonnet terminal or do I need to disconnect both batteries? I didn't realise there are 2 .Wheres the 2nd one?
    Cheers

    • @DrewFixIt
      @DrewFixIt 5 місяців тому

      Hi Mate, no - disconnecting at the terminals under the bonnet will not isolate all of the vehicles modules. You need to disconnect the actual batteries at their connection points. Note - the auxiliary battery is behind the main battery as per this video:

    Can you do a video for a core e95 razor electric scooter I got one that doesn’t work and I want to make it work or make it go faster

    • @DrewFixIt
      @DrewFixIt Рік тому

      Hi Mate, I have messed around with the E90 and E95 scooters in the past. To be honest they are not really worth the time and effort, you are better off finding a junk E200 at a minimum and then modding that one. Best is a E300 though in my opinion. This is because the E95 is such a small frame and only comes with I think a 100W motor, whereas the E200 and E300 come standard with a minimum 200W motor (depending which country you are in) and as I say having messed around just a little with all of these scooters, the base platform of the E200 and E300 is something that you can build upon relatively easily by comparison. Probably not what you want to hear, but I hope that this is useful info anyway. Cheers Drew

    So if i have a 2007 is there anything i need to do to save the memory of the vehicle and not harm it in any other way?

    • @DrewFixIt
      @DrewFixIt Місяць тому

      Hi Mate, with the Mercedes don't worry about trying to save the memory! You may lose a few preset radio stations but that does not matter, the main thing is NOT to try and put any battery saver device at all as doing so poses more of a risk with Mercedes. Just take out your old battery and put in a new one as I showed you in this video! Cheers Drew

    Great video! Thank you, I just changed my ML250 following your recommendations.
    Just a tip, Move your seat forward AND up. I’m 6’3 and didn’t have enough room to lift my battery out (forgot my seat sits on the lowest setting). It was easy enough reconnecting and lifting the seat, but just a tip.
    Also, great inclusion of not needing a spare battery or charging unit. I can also confirm the capacitors in the ML kept charge and memory was still stored after replacing my battery. Love your work!

    Hello, Do i need to reprogram the key fob, or anything else or is it plug and play.
    How do you lock the doors, after removing the battery? will the key blade lock the car, or do i lock up before removing the batter and leave the rear door open and then when i close the rear door, the car will remain locked?
