Really want a new coaster at Thorpe. My mind still isn't made up on what I want though. Could be an easier decision if I write an acrostic poem about it
We've discussed this as well recently and think 2020 is nailed on for the next mega project at Thorpe Park, we didn't all agree on what we expect to happen with Scott saying a GCI and Mike saying a Hyper coaster, we'd be happy with either in fairness. Hopefully 2019 will see Loggers Leap reintroduced to the lineup and 2020 a new coaster which doesn't replace anything, but instead adds to the existing lineup.
thing with the rmc if it happens the ceiling of Thorpe is stealth so it would be smaller but will it be built into the mixed terrain that is available (loggers...) would they be able to afford it
The problem with 4:28 is that section of the park is actually road access for deliveries and things. Also its access for security to get round fast by vehicle. So they wouldnt put something there because of that. Its also where they store the rumba rapids and spares
What I hope next is with old town put saw the ride back into its own area again and put old towns main coaster to be called vulture a flying coaster themed around a flying vulture going from the old loggers leap to the hot dog stand at the jungle or a crazy mine train coaster taking a tour in a mine then we go to a restricted zone and it goes all crazy called Thorpe mine train. And does are my opinions
I dont think they are demolishing slammer , its still standing in July 2018 , I think they might be buying a defunct one and using the parts to fix slammer
Plus, i would of thought that as its the last one left that s&s would want it to stay or maybe they have plans for it??? Maybe im just getting my hopes up but i feel like its weird they would just scrap the ride entierly
It's being removed due to the fact that it's one of the few rides in the world that could breakdown upside down and trap riders there for too long to be now considered safe. Sad I know but true
A multi-launch would be great but there's already Stealth as a singular launch coaster. My preferred option for their nxt 2 coasters would be a RMC where Loggers Leap is then a big 200'ft + Hyper across the back of the park. I also think a B&M Stand-Up like Riddler's Revenge could be quite cool.
A B&M Dive Machine was the other option between it and the Ghost Train as Merlin tend to have two final options to choose from , Thorpe took the "bad" option , while Gardaland inherited the better option.
I’d rather them find another location than the island next to swam to save that island for a large coaster maybe 4 years after our next project. All of this is realistic but if they are gonna use that swarm island it needs to be a massive project. If I’m honest I don’t want a RMC but would love a hyper coaster just not on that island next to swarm. The location were loggers leap is a great location for the Multi launch or possible a flying coaster. The ideal coaster for me would be a flying, Dive or single rail in the loggers leap area. Also can you do a vid in the next flat ride that may replace slammer. We haven’t had a flat since rush if I’m correct. THORPE PARK IF YOU READING PLZ DONT USE THE ISLAND NEXT TO SWARM AND PLZ DO A HYPER, FLYING, DIVE OR SINGLE RAIL ITS WHAT WE ALL WANT! Thanks Edit: if your gonna use the island next to swarm make it a dive. Also plz find a way to put a flat Ride on swarm island that would be lit.
I think an RMC with lots of airtime would fit really nicely into the park. Plus thorpe could theme it really well; like they did with their other rides
I would like a rmc hypercoaster on the island behind swarm cause they are really creative and exciting rides that we can stare at when we are queuing for swarm instead of just watching stealth run every now and then
Great video Jack, I would actually like to see a Spinning Coaster like Time Traveller at the back of Swarm and possible theme to swarm but I think it’s unlikely but anything’s possible ;)
As much as I’d LOVE to see an RMC, I honestly think it’s gonna be a MACK Megacoaster, plainly because I kinda have some inside information, I guess.. basically I missed out on my coaster climb cause of weather, and he explained how he’s not allowed to reveal who they’re working with but it begins with an ‘M’ ?? I don’t really get it either but it just seems like it could work. Also it would make me happy cause my top coaster is helix haha
Personally, I'd love to see an RMC, like the wooden coaster it would fit the loggers leap area, while also providing extremely high thrills and air-time.
Would be sweet if they add a hypercoaster, especially if it's anything like shambhala in port aventura Spain. But It depends on the restrictions because of being close to an airport
The question is, would the RMC be a steel iron horse, a wood steel topper track or maybe even a raptor? - (Probably not due to capacity and thorpe's need to reduce que times)
IMO i think that the UK has no chance in getting a Hyper or a RMC. I even think they might go down the line of adding a family coaster since the park really doesn't have any and considering the fact that they are heading down the family friendly route, it makes sense. A hyper or a RMC in the UK will not happen at least for another 20-30 years, and that depends on how things go.
While these are fairly reasonable suggestions in general, there is absolutely no way you could fit a multi launch in the I'm A Celeb area you highlighted. Not with two launches, a station, gift shop, photo kiosk and queueline (with it's inevitable mid queue snack shop).
Basically what Thorpe needs is to is a RMC just like wildfire, decide are they going to keep loggers demolish it or build around it. Make their mind up and build the RMC that everyone wants
I would really like a theme like Saw. Saw is very heavily themed and makes the ride so much more enjoyable. Obviously, don't have the exact same theme (the movie) but how it is themed should be like saw.
I want an RMC woodie at Thorpe Park because there are no RMCs in the UK and an RMC would fit Thorpe Park, maybe on the site of Loggers Leap and use some of the queue from LL for the queue of the RMC.
i think this is more of your wish list for coasters than the most likely. i don't think they'd be enough space for a hybrid , wooden, multilaunch or a hypercoaster due to height restrictions/ lack of land
I'd be surprised to see a hyper coaster. As far as I understand they also have height restrictions like Alton Towers because they are so close to Heathrow Airport. Wasn't Stealth planned to be bigger than Kingda Ka but planning was denied because of height concerns?
Number 4 and 3 seem like they could happen but 2 and 1 wouldn’t. They wouldn’t do a multi launch as they do already have a launched roller coaster and they would benefit more by getting something new rather than having another launched coaster. Number 1 probably wouldn’t happen as they have only made one RMC from scratch (I think) so it would be very unlikely but it is possible I guess. (I rode Twisted Colossus yesturday and it was absolutely amazing!) Brilliant video btw, keep it up!
Something to remember here is that Thorpe may not have the planning restrictions of Alton Towers but it still is very complex. It is very close to Heathrow which can mean it would require consultation with CAA if it was to go over 60M/200ft. Stealth does this once. This takes a lot of time, planning and therefore money. So although possible I find it unlikely. Then there is Monks Walk which is a public footpath that runs from Ferry Lane to Thorpe alongside the old railway track. It is pretty tight at some points with the park boundary. Then the noise and visual impact from expensive landowners and residents. So a hyper or Giga is really unlikely which is a shame. Still Big Woodie or big RMC please!
From what I hear most likely going to be a GCI, I hear merlin got an discounted offer if they buy two woodies from them...but who knows lol, can’t wait to find out
I think Thorpe Park is more interested in re mastering, or improving the current attractions, we have already seen this with what used to be “X”, this is just my theory
I think a MACK/Multi launch coaster with a similar theme to The swarm would be awesome. I think if it integrated/ combined with the swarms theming to continue the alien invasion style. However i feel i hyper coaster could be interesting too
They won't add a wooden coaster now Wickerman is at Towers. They will add something unique to each park whenever they can to keep all brands strong. I'd put money on it being a hyper coaster for 2020. And they could go with trusted and popular B&M model, go for an Intamin one (Hyperion) or even go for the new boys in the hyper market, Mack rides. Can't really lose with any of those choices as the UK is badly in need of an airtime machine.
I think wood is on its way back with wicker man being the tester and Thorpe Park W it’ll be next where loggers leap is to kinda fit in with the theming that is around there
Would a stealth revamp be plausible? Extending it and upgrading it to be the tallest/ fastest in Europe.. Surely it’d be cheaper as the main infrastructure is already there?
Sophie Foster I honestly think we need a teenage-adult themed park and I don’t think Thorpe park are going to be adding more family friendly rides/re-theming
Tamara Clark agreed. Thorpe Park also gets most of its money from teens and thrill seekers. There are many UK family theme parks. We don't need another.
A) listen to what he says at 9:22 B) Thorpe would never retheme everything to love island to be “family friendly” if you want family stuff you have legoland and Chessington. C) Love Island isn’t even family friendly
I 100% want it to be an RMC. A woodie or a multilaunch would just be copying Alton Towers or Blackpool Pleasure Beach and a hyper is impractical because of their height restrictions.
I think a water coaster with a dark ride element would fit in well where loggers was x - something like The Flying Dutchman at Efteling, speaking of 7 days left :) x
I've always pictured a Hypercoaster at Thorpe, IDK why but your (very rudimental) mockup of what it could look like looked pretty decent. It's not like Thorpe has the height restrictions that Alton has. Also Stealth is already at 205ft, so all the new hyper has to do is match it. We don't have a Hyper in the UK at the moment (likely due to all the main theme park's strict height guidelines) But Thorpe Park seems the most viable.
The Lord not really, think about it, nemesis alton towers, and nemesis inferno which is an adaption, so wicker man a woody and an adaption being an rmc adaption of the wicker man
James Edwards well sort of ? But that makes little sense as your comparing two inverted coasters manufaured by the same company to a woodie by gci and a possible rmc and the only similarity being they are primarily wood
harryjs2000 they may be two inverted coasters but one is still an adaption of the other, and nemesis inferno being slightly bigger, it just seems to make more sense to build a steel hybrid from the ground up that will be an adaption of the wicker man, ide Place money on it!
Wooden coaster? Have u gone insane?? I remind u that Alton Towers is a Merlin park. If they get a woodie, Wicker Man won’t feel special and it’s done well so they won’t wanna ride it and then they will go to Thorpe park
It absolutely won't be an RMC Hybrid, I'd almost be my mortgage on it. T-Rex, yes, but I still think the B&M Hyper is the most likely outcome (which I'd be pleased with) as Thorpe's engineers have expressed a preference for working with B&M.
I think RMC and Woodeies will be too heavy, with most rides sinking down and causing rough experiences, These two types of coasters are relatively rough. Like you said, A multi launch coaster would be very thrilling and can have a simple but amazing layout! I’d love a Mack Multilaunch to have Subcore Engergy theming like Derren Browns ghost train! I’m super hyped to see what Thorpe bring next!
Actually. RMC coasters are known for being incredibly smooth yet forceful. I can't comment as I haven't ridden one tho, so I'll just take their word for it.
I don’t know if Thorpe park would build over 200 ft
Stealth
And I thought stealf was big
CoverGurl singer SheSings it’s stealth dumb ass
@@crazycoasterproductions3920 I smell toxicity
I would love an rmc. But realistically i see a b&m or intamin hyper as the free space in thorpe fits a layout of a hyper so well.
I love the idea of a hyper but wouldn’t it make stealth irrelevant since that’s known for being the tall one
Watching this in 2022 now and it’s crazy to compare old opinions to the current plans
Intamin have been making Hypercoasters/giga coasters from the start.
They made Millennium force the first coaster over 300ft
I would LOVE something as good and as themed as Taron
Really want a new coaster at Thorpe.
My mind still isn't made up on what I want though.
Could be an easier decision if I write an acrostic poem about it
Ca L Well done 😂
CaL that’s sssoooo cool RMC for the win
I would like a B&M second generation dive machine.
That Picture with the coaster in the skyline looked so surreal and awesome great vid I hope it happens!!
I think a 170ft-180ft ground up RMC woody would fit perfectly in my opinion or a dive coaster around that height
and yet the 2019 season starts next week, and still no plans...
and yet 2021 starts next week no plans
Praying for a wooden coaster in 2020, then maybe in years after that the hyper coaster. I think those two would pretty much complete the park
TomGW rmc coaster
Rmc coaster as its an adaption of the wicker man but a steel hybrid, just like nemesis and thorpe park's nemesis inferno
TomGW honestly i would like that but the other way roubd
We've discussed this as well recently and think 2020 is nailed on for the next mega project at Thorpe Park, we didn't all agree on what we expect to happen with Scott saying a GCI and Mike saying a Hyper coaster, we'd be happy with either in fairness.

Didn’t expect to see you here !!!!
UniqueGaming Reed Scott and Mullet (Rich) know Jack personally, so no need to be surprised 😉
thing with the rmc if it happens the ceiling of Thorpe is stealth so it would be smaller but will it be built into the mixed terrain that is available (loggers...) would they be able to afford it
watch merlin throw curveball and build a dive coaster considering we have seen two open in the last few years
I think a wooden rollercoaster would look amazing with the old town theme, they could make it a sort of desert/cowboy theme.
The should get a giga RMC with the most airtime on any coaster just to piss off Cedar Point
Never happen. Height restrictions at the park.
@TGRS because they claim that steel vengeance have the most airtime
Jack being in 2019 now do u think they will still make a coaster?
One of my favourite videos you've done, it was so well done and enjoyable
The problem with 4:28 is that section of the park is actually road access for deliveries and things. Also its access for security to get round fast by vehicle. So they wouldnt put something there because of that. Its also where they store the rumba rapids and spares

I really want a flying coaster like galactica
Same!
One with a pretzel loop
watching this is 2020 knowing that there is still no construction going on, much sad very disappoint.
If Thorpe Park has a B&M hyper, that would be good and fit the Thorpe Park skyline
I just found your channel again and I remember watching one of your Thorpe Park vlogs years ago, didn't think you'd become an enthusiast haha
I never actually thought about Thorpe Park having a new rollercoaster 😅🤯🤩
I dont think they are demolishing slammer , its still standing in July 2018 , I think they might be buying a defunct one and using the parts to fix slammer
Hope so. It's the last one left in the world
Slammer is shit tho.
Harry Playz its been sbno for a long time like over a year now and i would be sad to see it permanently gone
Great video Jack! 🔥. Can't wait to see what new roller-coaster Thorpe will receive

Now we got Xodus!
ive been on silver star at thorpe park...probs my fav b&m coaster and very smooth
???????????? Tf thats not even existent there
Silver Star is at Europa park not Thorpe park
Could you make an updated video as it looks like creak freak massacre will be there for a few years in the loggers space :)
As much as I’d LOVE to see an RMC, I honestly think it’s gonna be a MACK Megacoaster, plainly because I kinda have some inside information, I guess.. basically I missed out on my coaster climb cause of weather, and he explained how he’s not allowed to reveal who they’re working with but it begins with an ‘M’ ?? oh how the tables have turned
I’ve always wondered why Thorpe Park doesn’t have a Jaws ride, they have Amity Beach , and the shark hotel. That could be a great ride
I love the brass band version of the Thorpe park theme song but I can't find it. Can anyone send me a link?
so a year has gone what do you think now ?
Great video! I went on stealth today, the speed is unreal!!!!
It's because Alton Towers made Wickerman this year (2018) so the pattern makes it so Thorpe Park has to make a Wooden rollercoaster as well
Basically what Thorpe needs is to is a RMC just like wildfire, decide are they going to keep loggers demolish it or build around it. Make their mind up and build the RMC that everyone wants
For a wooden coaster, they need it to be looping or an rmc hybrid
I'd like to see a flyer. Really enjoyed Air at Alton Towers; but now they've made it VR, we could do with something a bit more traditional
I would really like a theme like Saw. Saw is very heavily themed and makes the ride so much more enjoyable. Obviously, don't have the exact same theme (the movie) but how it is themed should be like saw.
I just recently went on tarron and that was absolutely amazing and Thorpe could really benefit from a double launch coaster x
Hypercoaster is very possible, as Stealth is effectively a hyper which they already have
how is it effectively a hyper, its a intamin launch with a top hat
phillyuk does that make it a hyper coaster though
~The Wicker Man was a social experiment~
- Jack - Silkstone - 2018
alex banks I know bro
YESSSSSSS u should GO TO PORTADVENTURA THEME PARK IN SPAIN IT IS AMAZING AND GO ON SHAMBALA ‼️
Hannah Lowe S-H-A-M-B-A-L-A Yess it is a mad hyper I love it
best coaster i've been on
A large RMC would be awesome in old town and the rmc would fit the themeing of old town well.
I want an RMC woodie at Thorpe Park because there are no RMCs in the UK and an RMC would fit Thorpe Park, maybe on the site of Loggers Leap and use some of the queue from LL for the queue of the RMC.

Also I was on swarm on Sunday and saw them starting to build something behind it 🤨
Mia Nugent same I went on Tuesday and went on swarm and saw something
Can someone tell me the name of the music used I really like it
I think a MACK/Multi launch coaster with a similar theme to The swarm would be awesome. I think if it integrated/ combined with the swarms theming to continue the alien invasion style.
However i feel i hyper coaster could be interesting too

Surely it’d be cheaper as the main infrastructure is already there?
Can't see them extending stealth by an extra 160+ feet
I don’t want a wooden coaster I WANT ANOTHER HUGE COASTER WITH LOOPS and a really cool theme!!
I heard they are rethemeing every attraction to Love Island so that Thorpe can finally be family friendly
ThaMango it's too horrific to be a joke.
A) listen to what he says at 9:22
B) Thorpe would never retheme everything to love island to be “family friendly” if you want family stuff you have legoland and Chessington.
C) Love Island isn’t even family friendly
Pretty sure she was just joking... how do some people think this is serious
I 100% want it to be an RMC. A woodie or a multilaunch would just be copying Alton Towers or Blackpool Pleasure Beach and a hyper is impractical because of their height restrictions.
When does everyone think the plans will be released for the next big coaster
I’d make a lot more effort into going Thorpe park if an rmc happens! I’m itching to get on one.
It's gonna be a GCI wooden coaster or an RMC in the location where Loggers Leap is currently standing... 100000%
Dam, 2020: no coaster and now it’s coronavirus probably 2023-4
An RMC at thorpe park? Now you're dreaming...
The Lord lol so true
The Lord not really, think about it, nemesis alton towers, and nemesis inferno which is an adaption, so wicker man a woody and an adaption being an rmc adaption of the wicker man
James Edwards well sort of ? But that makes little sense as your comparing two inverted coasters manufaured by the same company to a woodie by gci and a possible rmc and the only similarity being they are primarily wood
harryjs2000 rmc make steel hybrids from the ground up as well as upgrading existing wooden coasters
harryjs2000 they may be two inverted coasters but one is still an adaption of the other, and nemesis inferno being slightly bigger, it just seems to make more sense to build a steel hybrid from the ground up that will be an adaption of the wicker man, ide Place money on it!
Whatever they're doing they need to expand on the right half of the park.
('right' as in opposite of 'left')
I can see some people being sad if an rmc doesnt come but to be honest I'm not really bothered in one
Hi mate g are you going to build new coaster ride
I have done silver star and it is the only hyper I have ever been on apart from stealth.
I hope saw doesn’t change because that’s my fave ride at Thorpe park
Wooden coaster? Have u gone insane?? I remind u that Alton Towers is a Merlin park. If they get a woodie, Wicker Man won’t feel special and it’s done well so they won’t wanna ride it and then they will go to Thorpe park
Alton towers and Thorpe have literally mimicked each other for years, stealth Rita, saw and smiler, they have very similar rides
Go and fly your drone over Thorpe park to see what new ride is coming for 2019
H k L none
Could this still be happening?
I would like to see Loggers Leap reopened for 2019 and either a hyper, RMC or wooden coaster for 2020.
We're is this Park?
As much as I want an RMC, I think it's most likely that we get a GCI, especially with Wicker Man.
Is loggers leap still open at thorpe park?
Matt Heasman no it closed yesterday
I work at thorpe park so I can tell you that the next ride is a bee movie themed coaster
Mack Mega Coaster please :) with some airtime hills.
I’m so excited! 😁
In a perfect world I would want an RMC or a hyper coaster. Realistically, I would love a woodie or a flying coaster.
What's about a Mack Mega Coaster?
It absolutely won't be an RMC Hybrid, I'd almost be my mortgage on it. T-Rex, yes, but I still think the B&M Hyper is the most likely outcome (which I'd be pleased with) as Thorpe's engineers have expressed a preference for working with B&M.
I personally would bloody love a b&m hyper. Such good rides.
Ik im late to comment but I think a new railway will go along the side behind The Jungle/Imaceleb to Stealth...
