the 3rd dude was Phife dawg from a tribe called Quest.... it was a whole vibe when it came out.... Shaq became an honorary member they called him Shaq fu.... they have a song together
I've been to a lot of concerts, Fu-Shnickens came to UC Davis about 30 years ago and it was hands down the best concert ever! The energy and crowd control was unmatched.
Good to see someone reacting to one of the 90s dopest, but most unheralded groups. Loved that first album. I was like 11 or 12 when that Fu Schnickens came out, and I played that thing out.
I'm glad you mess with the reaction, I definitely react to more of their music. Probably brings back so many memories when you listen to that album now
Come inside the jam and witness who is boss,it won't be Tony Danza or Diana Ross...Tony Danza had a tv show called "who's the boss?" and Diana Ross had an album titled "the boss"
Some of it to me is so reggae!! It's the best, you can make verbal patterns of the sounds lengthened or shortened to fit the mode, you can make sense of it over time and then it's, "Ah-ha! Moments"! Unless you get it first time, I could only achieve that with a good quality sensimilia spliff.....😅🌈😆
You need to check out "Back Off" (from the same Fu-Schnickens album), where Chip Fu goes solo. That one's my personal favorite. Trust me on that. I wish there was a video to it, though...
A lot of people are mentioning the mix of jamaican patois and american slang especially with Chip. It's also important to note that they were very influenced by the loony toons and other 80s/90s cartoons. It's part of their flavor and their individuality as a group. Similar to the way that Wu-Tang samples and references old karate movies, it's really cool how it melds into the personality of the music they made.
Skip Fu is one of the most underrated rappers, you should check out 20/20 vision, that beat comes from KRS One and BDP Scott la Rock. Some of BDP stuff was also produced by Ced Gee from the ultra magnetic Mc’s who his brother was one of the members of BDP. Just can’t remember which KRS one song it is
Yoo Prsper This Was The F****** S*** Omg Man Lol Naaaah He wasn't mumbling Prs 😄😄 and The Organ Part was also Sampled by KRS-ONE for his song Step Into A World that you reacted too. MY REQUEST 😁😁😁
It was a fire track, the flow and energy was crazy dope. Yea someone said that he was mixing American rap with Jamaican Patois, that’s my bad. Idk how I didn’t recognize that sample, thanks for pointing that out to me fam
Before there was Wu, there was Fu! In 1992, rapping fast was still relatively new. Also mixing cliches & commercials was being done by Das EFX & Kool G Rap. 30 years ago, Hip-Hop was all about originality!
BCk in the day when we used to buy CDs, they had the lyrics on the on the CD paper, and chip fu was not mumbling...he was rapping words faster than I could read
Again You impress us. So open ears . 👏🏽🔥👏🏽 Just a lil knowledge my Gee. Back in this time there was heavy Dancehall, Rasta movement going hard. So naturally mc’s were fusing it into their flow.Dancehall has a lot of Slang when they be “Chattin” (spittinn) Jamaican language super different.Dats why it sounds like mumble🏝 just sayin🏝ur channel always 🔥
Thank you fam, that really means a lot you mess with my channel! I appreciate you providing background, that explains a lot. That’s hard how they were fusing Jamaican language into their music, he was spittin it fast that I didn’t comprehend it
Next up, in THIS journey for you, MUST BE... " The Choice is Yours" by Black Sheep!!!! 💯💯💯💯💯💯 Trust me on this one, man! 😎 You post that one, and I'll send you to the next phase of hip-hop REALNESS!
the thing with Chip-Fu is hes NOT mumbling hes mixing American rap and Jamaican Patois, and doing it very quickly. lol
That makes more sense, thanks for pointing that out fam
...yes and very quick with it - LIT, lol!
Skip fu is also Jamaican so that’s why he does it
big facts was a popular flow in the early to mid 90s
@@992ras he's Trinidadian
he's not mumbling- that's todays rap-,:: he's just really good and criminally underrated
Phife Dog had one of the illest voices in rap. His verse on this song blew Fu-Shnickens up
the 3rd dude was Phife dawg from a tribe called Quest.... it was a whole vibe when it came out.... Shaq became an honorary member they called him Shaq fu.... they have a song together
What's up doc?.. Can we rock
You heard that beat from Step Into A World - KRS One
Yea I did, idk how I didn’t recognize it when I was doing the reaction
He's not mumbling, he rhyming some of his lyrics forwards then backwards. That's his style.
He’s not mumbling he’s actually saying the words to his rhyme backwards. He had the ability to reverse words and used it in his rhymes.
I remember when I was 12 yrs old, I tried to figure out every word Chip Fu was saying. Thanks
I was blown away my first listen , then chip said words backwards and mind was blown
