Irish is a lifestyle lol . Half Irish , always loved this band almost like some kind of prideful thing of our culture .
Everlast a real one . “ what it’s like “ normally where people go after this one . Highly suggest following that pattern lol Great song with great meaning .
This more fun and Irish proud , what it’s like is about the reality of the world and judgement of others . Very pointed and smart song to provoke thoughts about the less fortunate .

Sweetheart, you didn't sound ignorant; you looked genuinely (favorite word approaching alert!) gobsmacked! That word rarely applies to describe a natural flow of events, but the instant you said, "I've heard it but never seen the video,", I was hopeful and ready. And you delivered on cue. You guys are SO MUCH fun and authentic. And far too intelligent to have to apologize when one of the many unexpected surprises in life catches you off guard.
If we were talking about two social hermits who never leave their basement, I'd have something else to say. But who has time for insults? My response when I'm really caught off guard is: "I am grateful that I am not so jaded and world-weary that I cannot be shocked." I enjoy it more and more as I get older. PEACE! Gary On Broadway

Another song that might be worth checking out is "Pretty Fly For a White Guy" by the Offspring. I remember hearing that Everlast, the singer for House of Pain was pissed off about it. He believed they were making fun of people like him and has band members.

I grew up to this, remember how huge it was when it dropped. Then the clubs ran with this and blew up those dance floors. Great times.

This was actually really written, the original was stolen by a mutual friend that had a connection to Kris kros "jump", so once they released it, house of pain obviously was pissed. All the lyrics to jump around where directed at Kris Kris for recording a stolen song

I worked in a nightclub in the early & mid 00's. If this song came on it unofficially meant that ALL service stopped. Mostly cause 90% of people just went to start dancing & jumping around as soon as it started. But also all the staff would join in. So you'd see 5 or 6 bars with all the staff leaping about like loons. Fethin Brilliant times & no one ever complained that they couldn't get a drink

Sophomore dance. Mr Copland smelled my water bottle to this song in Harrisburg, Oregon. He figured out that it was vodka based on me and the smell. Kicked me out but let me go. I'm convinced it was because of my silken purple shirt

Rap, like Rock music has SO many different sub genre's. It's not all gangsta rap. There's everything from Old School Cypress Hill to Twenty One Pilots, and everything in between.
