I'm not so sure about that tbh.... My countertop dishwasher is great in my apartment but doesn't fit on my countertop so I have it on a wheeled stand thing so I can use it easily in my galley kitchen. GREAT video brother, I did buy the USB type C magnetic inserts and still use them to this day, they work FLAWLESSLY. I absolutely LOVE your channel, keep the hits.... and miss's coming. You're doing the public a great service Sir 👍👍
The main thing I noticed with the Ambervision type glasses (not original ones, but some fake type) was that it was very hard to see stoplights with them, so did not dare wear them driving, or at least had to lift them up to see the light. went back to a darker pair of normal ones shortly after for that.
I bought a Farberware brand countertop dishwasher last November for my studio apartment. I absolutely love it, outside of the spotty drying function. Pro tip for anyone that has one: use a funnel when pouring in the water. You can do it quicker without getting water everywhere.
Thank you again for the review of ReaderRest. Now have three and I haven't lost my glasses since the first ones. Am still looking for a brick and mortar store selling self stiring mugs.
Have you seen the apartments in Japan? some of them define the term "efficiency". If you want a dishwasher in may of those places, The countertop version is about your only real option. There's just no room for a full sized one.
I’m always confused about how real the tech situation is in Japan. Because there’s def been a lot of videos to suggest that they’ve been living in the future with all these tech items but then the more you find out about average Japanese people they don’t seem to use them that often. Even heard about plenty of instances they’re technologically behind per se, like the graphic design of websites is fairly retro to an American
I got the magnetic charging cables, as I use an android phone and a Kindle, which have different adapter ports. While the magnetic chargers do charge slower, I find not having to mess with 2 different types of charging cables much easier. The light-up feature is both a blessing and a bane, as they are BRIGHT at night and I usually have to hide the end in a dresser drawer as they light up and stay lit up when plugged in. The adapter pieces that go into your phone port do come out easily so if I need a faster charge for my phone, I can switch over to a C type cable. They've held up well over a year and I'm hoping for more advances in that field! Thank you for the reviews!
That's basically how I use them: anything that I need to charge at least weekly and doesn't support wireless charging, which is mostly micro USB devices for me.
If the ID Police product used an indelible ink, and a different pattern on the stamping surface, it would be gold. They made some nonsensical cost-saving decisions in my estimation.
One of the products here is one we use very often, even at work, and that's the soup mug. That product is amazing! It works really great for instant noodles too, hot water from the cooler at work, or out of the electric kettle here at home and about 4 minutes to sit and cook and you're ready to enjoy. It's so convenient to add the noodles, pour the water and just set it at my desk at work and keep right on working for a few minutes. Cleaning them is super easy too, just a quick rinse or even top rack of the dishwasher and they're like new again.

I realized that by following some cooking and reheating directions that I found in my microwave's user manual to cook many types of foods, I don't need no stinkin' gadgets! 😊 Just my everyday kitchen stuff. For baked potatoes, all I use is one plate and one fork. It takes only a few minutes and vóila. You may have to adjust cook times/temps depending on many things such as microwave wattage, portion size, etc.
With the microwavable vegetable steamer you need to cut all the vegetables the same size meaning that that squash needed to be thicker. I've used one for years and that works out perfectly. Not the same brand though.
7:50 That dongle you leave in there has exposed ends. Put your phone or tablet in something with metal and it can easily short the port. At best, it will damage the port. At worst, the battery will catch fire.
the port isn't always feeding power out. it has to negotiate with a device first before it would start sending any power. there isn't simply a direct lead from the port to the battery.
@@davedauria4782 It depends. Many devices (if not most) have power on the port at all times. Most power banks, for example, don't even have any data lines.
I got that tovala oven after your review and have to say, I really like it and the food has all been great. For someone who lives alone without a lot of time to cook, works great for me.
I wondered how those stretch lids would hold up. I have a feeling if you were using the stretch feature all the time they would eventually get loose. But I'm with you, I probably wouldn't even use that feature very often.
Somehow the stretch lids seems like a quintessential American product. Every container must be filled to the brim, or beyond. If your container is not filled to the maximum then it's partially empty. Can't have that! Yes, of course I do it.🙄
They get stretched out over time. My mom put the stretch lid in the dishwasher and it was never the same after too stretched out basically useless now ☹️
Idk if anyone cares, but I found a video about how to cook corn and I'll never cook it any other way again. You throw the whole ear in the microwave. Husk and all. 4 mins per ear. (2 ears you go 8 mins. I usually do 2 for 8 but I have done 3 at 12 and it was ok too) then you take them out (with a pot holder cause they HOT) and cut through about an half inch- inch above the bottom of the stem side. Grab the top part and shake and wiggle the ear out and boom. Fully cooked ear of corn no shucking. I'll never shuck corn again. (Look up microwave ear of corn video for visual demo. No gadgets needed)
I have one of the larger countertop dishwashers and it works great. There is a defunct regular size builtin dishwasher in my house but I can’t remove it myself. It was too big for my needs so I bought the countertop type. Perfect size for me, hooks up to the faucet. It does take up a lot of room but if I don’t have to wash dishes, it’s a WIN. 😎🐈⬛❤️
I have a full size dishwasher in my apartment and haven't used it in a really long time. The little table top one would actually be better I think & I love the window.
You should do a top 10 or top 5 video of what products your viewers have found usefull on a daily basis. Myself, I found that a Key Chain flash Light with USB charger to be the handiest little thing I use all the time. Being a third shift worker ist been super nice.
I love mine, have the same brand and model. I use it every day...I use an old graniteware Canning funnel that has a very high neck and place it on the top to fill the water. No mess and no splash. I also clean all water out of the unit daily. especially the puddled water when you remove the filter. Other wise the water can go stagnant. I have only used the Normal wash twice as the Speed setting does just a good of a job. I grow grapes and make tons of Concord grape jam so I use the Fruit Wash cycle a lot in the fall. I did find that using pods is Over Kill for this washer as they are made for a full size washer and can actually clog the counter top size. ... I switched to Gel instead and love it. Liquid just doesn't clean as well.
I have the dip clips. I love them! I had a gathering and everybody who used one loved it too. I kept getting asked when where I got them, but it was only a couple months until Christmas 2021, so I claimed I didn't remember. All those who raved over then and wanted to know where I got them received a set, or two depending on the size of their household. I'm still getting thanks for those a year and one month later 😁
I love those sleep bands so much! I bought cheap ones on Amazon and got two and they last me all the way through a 3 day camping trip. I play thunderstorm sounds on my phone to block out my friend's loud snoring and it doesn't even hurt my sensitive ears from pressing on them :)
Didn't know countertop dishwashers existed before seeing a couple reviews on UA-cam. Yours and TechMoan's. Not sure who was first, but I got my own different brand countertop dishwasher and love it. The thing is life-changing. Also watched your review of toasters and it directly influenced my buying a toaster. The neat thing is I found one on sale at Ollie's for $10 and that thing blows away everything I saw in your video. Fast, consistent, and cheap. Just ignore how the plastic panels are not the same shade, how it feels like it is made from recycled Coke cans, and that $10 price that somehow still made a profit. Scary. But it makes great toast and your videos defined what I should want and expect and were a huge help. Sometimes a big part of product review is just that: defining what the product should do and how to tell if it does that, and you go to great effort to do that every single time. Thank you!
Bench top dishwashers have been around for years, at least 25 or more. They are just better with their water usage now, I have one and I like the option of having to put in water through the top.
That Groove Belt is intuitive. I wish I'd thought of that. I use that belt that clicks as it locks (crap I forget the name). I like it because it's more adjustable than belts with holes.
I use the soup mug as a snack cup for my husband. I mix his preferred small snacks (peanut M&Ms, craisins, Gardetto's original mix, etc.) and shake it up, and he takes that to work.
I remember watching these videos like it was yesterday. In fact, I was just thinking about a few of these products recently because I suddenly found use for them. I can’t believe a year has passed already
For those who have this, I ended up cutting the top of the silverware holder in half so I have one side that large items can fit and silverware on the other side. Both pieces can still be used at the same time because they snap into place. I just cut it in half with a pair of scissors...
I actually have a worktop dishwasher. It doesn't hold much. About one meals worth of pans, utilities and dishes. But have had it for ages now and with my cp i would much rather fill this that standup at the stink for ages. The soup mug I actually came across on amazon while i was looking for a hot lunch container that i could just thought in my bag full of probably last night's dinner. Still have it and I love it. Used it many times.
I love amber/orange tint sunglasses. They block all blue light to reduce eye strain and reduce sunlight intensity so it's much much more comfortable for all day driving. I like the retro style too so I wear them as Street glasses. I like blublocker more than ambervision but ambervision is slightly better for driving due to the gradient.
the countertop dishwasher is appealing. I cook a lot, so I've always got dishes to do, and I AM SICK of doing dishes by hand. My problem will be space. I don't have anywhere to keep it on the counter unless I get rid of my big microwave, and no place to store it when not in use. But I have this one under serious consideration. Other commenters seem to like it too!
I have never been a dishwasher-type person….well, I've _been_ the dishwasher, I guess I should say; but after washing so many bottles and sippy cups by hand, I am ready to have a dishwasher for the 2nd time in my life. [I had one in an apartment that I rented briefly but only used it less than a handful of times.] I've been looking at counter-top models but seeing this one in action tells me a lot more than reading reviews. 🤔🤔
I like the magnetic phone charger but I also run an SDR radio device on my phone so i'd have to keep taking out the plug to hook up the SDR. I'd like to try the self stirring mug because I like coffee and hot drinks. Tried the cool turtle and it didn't work for me.
I use the music headband nightly, it not only means I can listen to sleep music without disturbing my husband and of course if muffles his snoring,I even watched your video using the headband LOL
I have a dishwasher but I'm tempted to get the counter top one simply so I can avoid having the sink fill up because we forgot to empty the dish washer. It would also be very nice for cleaning the pots and pans right after using them without having to clog up the dishwasher. More room for dishes right?
Pots and pans are too large for bench top dishwashers, even large dinner plates (I own one). It’s better for smaller things like cups, mugs, bowls small plates, kids plates and cutlery and basic cutlery.
Lol James’s favorite product in this video (which also made his top 10 list last year) is one that I HATE! I ordered one (expensive for a piece of plastic) and it sucks! It can never hold my phone correctly with or without a case and it constantly tips over and no angle is ever stable long enough to watch anything on my phone, that’s for sure. I feel I’d get more out of those dip clips lol.
I also found it funny James keeps it in his pocket when he uses it on airplanes...that's why I have an airplane/trip checklist lol... earplugs, phone holders, usb battery, comfy headphones, sim card tool, bubble gum to pop ears, eye shades, wipes, pens, dental floss/toothpick, socks, tshirt bags (collect garbage before/after "official collection", separate items especially wet or dirty, etc), gloves (for #2, mine or the kids), and probably a dozen more things I can't recall off the top of my head...
The dishwasher is cool... can you share what brand and where you might get it. Whoever remodeled my place didn't put in a dishwasher, even though there was room. It's just me and the dogs, so would be perfect. Thx James!
i have an aunt that has the countertop dishwasher and loves it, her condo kitchen is too small for a regular sized dishwasher so she got this since its just her.
I know why you were dismissive of the burrito pop, but it looks like something I'd love! I hate when takeout burritos get soggy and drip through the wrappings -- this looks like a very practical product for someone like me if they clean easily. It’s funny cause I have and Use the ID Police. I kind of love it even if it gives me the smallest peace of mind. Thanks James. Loving the review videos.
I would recommend shredding scissors. It's a large pair of scissors that cuts things up like a shredder. Affordable and doesn't take up much space, but much better than the ID Police.

I love those sleep bands so much! I bought cheap ones on Amazon and got two and they last me all the way through a 3 day camping trip. I play thunderstorm sounds on my phone to block out my friend's loud snoring and it doesn't even hurt my sensitive ears from pressing on them :)
The self stirring mug is pretty cool. I do realize it’s basically a blender at the end of the day 😊.
Yeah, I'm all over that Self Stirring Mug ! Thanks for the review.
Wow was the dishwasher one a year ago?! Doesn’t seem that long.
Love these catch ups
I had something similar to the soup mug in college and used it all the time, I even used it a few times when I would pack a lunch for work too
I use the readerest all the time to carry reading glasses.
I've got 2 very similar products to the soup mug. I use it to cook veges in the microwave and for heating. They are great
After your review of the red soup mug I bought two those. I like it!
So many of these are what we used to call, “solutions in search of problems.“
Thank you, James, for the thumbnail of the athletic cup on your face. 😉
Never tried an umbrella to cover my bald head only a cap but after seeing your fashion statement I might give one a try 😳
I would totally use the magnetic clip for my microphone when recording UA-cam videos!
I actually plan on getting a smaller dishwasher and this is one of the ones I have in mind
I like the magnetic phone charger but I also run an SDR radio device on my phone so i'd have to keep taking out the plug to hook up the SDR.
I'd like to try the self stirring mug because I like coffee and hot drinks.
Tried the cool turtle and it didn't work for me.
I’ve try the cool turtle 🐢 I really enjoyed wearing it. Works for me. Enjoy your video.from Tucson, Az
U have my hometown team on ur shirt… Cool that ur representing WAR TOWN DEMONS!!
Thx James!
The link to it is in the description.
Love the update videos
The only bad thing about ink things like is police, anything alcohol based will remove the ink pretty fast.. also with a sharpie marker
Had 2 self stirring mugs that you said worked died after about 6 months, even replaced the batteries and still did not work.
My favorite series is back! Win!
If you worked on a roof in the US southwest, I'm sure you would LOVE that funny looking umbrella hat.
Those snap glasses look better on you than the steam punk ones imho
I use the magnetic phone charger everyday. Great for charging the phone at night. it is a slow charge however.
I really want that belt, but what is it actually called? Grew Belt? Groo Belt?
Check under Mail time 6 for the info.
Thanks for the update video.
The counter top dish washer you could do all those items it will hold in 15 minutes in the sink without the cost.
That’s what I’m thinking, it looks to hold 4 plates.
But that's no fun.
i have an aunt that has the countertop dishwasher and loves it, her condo kitchen is too small for a regular sized dishwasher so she got this since its just her.
That cool turtle 🐢 makes you sound like Kenny from Southpark 😂🤣
Tried those Ambervision sunglasses years ago, when they came out. Couldn't stand the horrible color of them. They're like there's been a nuclear war.
Are umbrella hats good? I’ve thought about buying one for work
The Dutch have worn them for decades! They’re vey practical.
3:40 The Book of Lists! I have all of those books. As well as The Peoples Almanac series.
I know why you were dismissive of the burrito pop, but it looks like something I'd love! I hate when takeout burritos get soggy and drip through the wrappings -- this looks like a very practical product for someone like me if they clean easily.
Also: Warner Robins is such a small community and is so far away from where you live: do you know someone from there or is that just a graphic tee using their name, mascot, and logo?
I was interested in the counter top dishwasher but could not find it in the UK
What product did you use on your beard in 2017? It was so full and healthy looking
"Aggressively Dipping" is the name of my next band.
the sauce plate clips are neat and work just fine for ketchup, tartar sauce...its not a whole lot if you're a salsa lover though...
What brand countertop dishwasher did you purchase and from where
Love the videos!
