@@vidguy2004 Yeah, hard, and a very slow tedious experience. While way easier, and as beautiful as the game may be, the same can unfortunately be said about its Saturn sequel. Because of their cute design, stunning animations, and their kind of music based concept (although only in style over substance unfortunately), I really would have wished I could love the Tempo games. 🤪!! The heated reactions you get just for sharing your (measured and accurate) opinion !!
Ah yes, the Winamp visualizations in area 2 of the Hi-fi Performance stage. Utterly eye destroying. Also, that's mighty nice of Major Minor to dust off Tempo before the boss.
I find it funny the American version box art for this game is lol funny and goofy while the Japanese version box art is cute. Plus Tempo did get a sequel which is called Super Tempo for the Sega Saturn which is only in Japan.
I love how the Bonus Games are basically proto-Rhythm Heaven games. The pizza one especially feels like it could be an Endless game in Tengoku or something.
@@vidguy2004 If you can read Japanese I'd highly recommend Super Tempo. It and Keio Flying Squadron 2 are some of the best 32 bit platformers I've ever played. I prefer them both to Astal and Rayman and I grew up with Rayman and have actually beaten it.

This is considered an unauthorized reproduction of happy birthday if you use a cartoon character in a game and walk into a succession of musical notes to the tube of it?
I think it would be cool if tempo made a comeback In some way shape or form or heck even be a playable character in a new sonic and sega all stars game whos with me let me know ok
For me, Tempo is problably the greatest Sega character ever made!..... But this game..... Aauughhh! Was it awful to play! I've tried playing it, and I literally almost lose my shit over how hard and complicated it is!...... But I love the sprite animations on Tempo and Katy and I liked the 90's aesthethic in it..... But it's a horrible game! At least for me.....
@@GladsonCuz they think it’s an easy mario level gameplay. They pretty much suck lol, also I’ve seen them in the other comments and it’s just a skill issue, I even saw the community posts
Regardless of anything else, this is a masterclass in sprite animation. This is what pixel art can be!
I agree.
That we can agree.....
I loved every sprite animation in this! X3
This is a game that tried to go for a musical platformer but it wasn't any different!
It's not bad....
Just underrated
I think it's a horrible game.....
I've tried playing it..... It's unbearable! 😞😞😞
This ish is trash.Just like the 32X and the Sega CD!!!

Holy moly this is the smoothest pixel art I have ever seen. These animations look hand-drawn
This series NEEDS to make a comeback…
My god how many great original IPs sega has? No matter how old i get i always end up discovering another great sega game or series i NEVER heard of
Most underrated game in Sega 32X ever.
It's an awful game to play.....
Seriously..... Frickin' hard.... 😖😖😖

This game the 32X, the Sega CD and Genesis are absolute GARBAGE!!!!

One of the best underrated games in Sega History.
Never heard of this game but I'm glad I stumbled across it.
This game is loosely based on that time me and my consort went to some weird underworld where we were cartoon insects.
This guy is just like kirby, he's really cute and really cool.
Nah, Tempo is funky 😎
foh me he's best sega character evah.... :3
This is the best Sega Genesis 32x ever made from the 90s

Look at the regional differences in the Megaman and Kirby art…

I think I'm going key-razy because I could've sworn I watched a longplay of this on this channel before.
There is a lot of music, if only level 1, that makes you think of Martin Iveson (Bubba'n'Stix, Chuck Rock 2...)
I like it
This is a beautiful gift.
No, it's not....
I've tried playing it..... It's unplayable.... 😓😓😓
Super Tempo is one of my favorite games. I have a hard time with Tempo's controls. I find Super Tempo easier. Thanks for doing this.

It's a shame this game, along with Knuckles Chaotics, is stuck on the 32X.
Tempo and knuckles chaotix need more love they both look amazing 🤩 👍
This is the vib-ribbon of animation for the sega 32x
0:57 IS THAT A MAJOR MINOR REFERENCE!?!
Cute ❤ I saw this at the retro store ❤
Their dance at the end of a stage reminds me of Kablam!

Should get a re-release.
I don't think that's possible now but we'll see
No.... I think it's already horrible to even get dat.... 😞😞😞
for a music-oriented game the music is so fucking weird

Tempo for PC (2005)
And Tempo 2 (2006)
Yay
OST is kinda mid overall

Complicated? There's a jump button, a kick button and a projectile button, how can that be complicated? You must suck at platformers...
