Thanks man I really appreciate it. It takes soo many hours, countless miles, and wayyy too much gas to find as much as I do. But i love just getting out there either way, even if I come home empty handed! (Like I seem to do most times) I do consider myself lucky though, to live in an area so rich in history like it is. Thanks for coming back to check out the new round of finds and for the comment!
Thanks man I appreciate it! The particular spot has spit out 3 large Benton’s made out of unusually colorful material over the years. I can’t help but find myself hoping for the next one each time I get out there!
That’s awesome man! If I’m gonna put a new vid out next week I better hunt hard this wknd! I think I’ve only found 8 or 9 in the past couple weeks. Thanks again for checking out the new finds, and making me a part of the Thursday night shenanigans! Haha
Salut, My Friend. I must say; what an insane finish! ....this is another instance where the craziness is so apparent, well due to the context and the passage of long centuries, the work of Nature's weather, time traveling backwards retrospectively. Entombed until just then, two well crafted artifacts in place remained to emerge togetherfrom that depth of clay as cohorts, leaving as such, their relationship solidly intact. One; a brutal crushing grinder apt to perform the clumsy, dirty work, and the other; a work of art more capable the finer detail, exacting vengeance with keen edge! You should be thanked for always peering closer, examining the scene fully, holding emotions in check.... all unfolds before you! That rectangular knife tool, for me that was the winner.... crafted to fit the hand. I am not sure why ancient knives fascinate me so, but for the varied aspect of each flaked edge, tooled to suit the performance specific to a task! I pray you are well in health, sending good cheer and blessings to you and all yours!
Thank you once again! The feeling of going back in time is ever present when finding artifacts in the spot they were left at so long ago. Why was it laid down there? Was it lost? Left behind in haste? So many questions with so many scenarios playing through your mind. It adds to the fascination and excitement of artifacts. Much like a well written book, with the ending left blank for you to interpret. As far as the square knife.. it has to be held to believe! I can’t help but to pick it up almost every time I walk by it. The way it perfectly fits in your hand, and again wondering what tasks had been done with it?! Thanks again and as always for your thoughtful responses!
.WOW MY FRIEND, IT WAS A GREAT PLEASURE TO SEE ALL THESE FABULOUS FINDINGS. It is incredible how they were covered by the earth and then emerged. The Benton and the mortar must have accompanied each other for many years. They didn't put them on purpose because who was going to miss these beautiful things. For making destiny there they remained. Or sometimes they themselves buried their things so others wouldn't take them. On one occasion in a wall thirty meters from the sea water, I found embedded 2 arrowheads and a knife. They must have been two meters from the surface down and the erosion of rainwater and the sea were discovering them. Congratulations on these great finds my friend. Greetings and blessings.
Thank you once again buddy! It is incredible to see how the artifacts can be found sometimes, especially when you find them in a spot exactly where they were left behind. These 2 pieces were found about 6 meters below surface level as well. It’s crazy to think of how long it would take for that much soil to accumulate that deep. I bet that was an amazing day for you to find those 3 artifacts together like that! Thanks as always buddy!
Thanks so much, and I’m glad you enjoy the videos. It took quite a while to get the eye for them, but just like anything… it just sort of happened one day and next thing you know I’m seeing them everywhere! Haha I appreciate you taking the time to check out the video!
Georgious saves again!!! That scraper is insane!!! Again never seen one like that!! Beautiful material, killer edge, knocked out finger holds, sheesh!!! And then who just walks up on a pestle sticking out of a high bank??? Oh wait cuz there’s a freaking killer dagger along with it!!!!!! I know it’s st. Patrick’s day and you do have the luck of all the Irish bro!!!!! Best finds and channel on UA-cam!!!! Thanks for blowing minds again!!
Thanks so much buddy! It is an unusually interesting scraper. I love being able to hold a piece and feeling exactly how they would’ve held it. I can’t help but to walk along the bank scraping the palm of my hand with it to get a good feel for it! Haha But man I tell ya.. I indeed lucked out on that benton / pestle combo find! At this rate I’m gonna start losing subscribers if I don’t find a cache or a 24” duck river sword in every video! Haha Thanks as always buddy for taking the time to watch and comment!
Super points. Floods will provide. That tool or preform really indicates what and how they are trying to do. What to say about that Benton and pestle. Simply awesome. Oh what a story it tells. Keep saving points and be safe.
Thanks again man, and indeed the floods do provide! So many of the artifacts I find, and how they are found, leave you with more questions than answers. But trying to find the artifacts, and piece together what, and how they were used is part of the enjoyment I get out of it! Thanks again and as always for taking the time to watch and comment!
Thanks man! I found it at the same spot I found the big benton in my video from 4 months ago titled “translucent beauty”. I’m wondering it if could’ve been one of those 3 or 4 piece benton caches all made of showy material that I’ve seen before?! I’ll keep going back and looking just in case! Haha thanks for checking it out!
Thank you! That’s exactly the feel I go for with my videos with no interruption from my end to take away from the moment or the artifact. I’m glad you enjoyed and hope you take the time to enjoy more of my finds!
Haha man I know! I was just hopeful that it wasn’t broken like they usually are 90% of the time. Thanks for checking out the finds and for commenting buddy!
Thanks a lot! That’s what I love about getting out there and looking. You never know what you might wind up coming home with.. it may be a coin, a clovis, a neat bottle, or heck.. I found a stihl MS880 chainsaw buried in the mud one day. Took it home and cleaned it up. Looks a little rough, but it runs like a champ! Hah thanks for taking the time to check it out!
Thanks man! It was an amazing pull that will definitely stand out in my memory for the rest of my life for sure! Thanks for taking the time to check it out!
Another incredible group of finds ! That red thang ! Just WOW ! Not a dog in the group. Some seemed to have fire or freeze pops…am I imagining that ? Thanks for showing them.
Thanks again! Not a dog in the group, but some are just a little more showy than others! Haha but yeah some of them do look like they have that fired look to them. Whether that’s what it is or not, I’d leave that to be determined by someone more knowledgeable than I. I’m ok at finding them.. but when it comes to the stuff like identifying, I’m not so good at. There’s just SO MUCH to learn! I think my brain is too full of useless knowledge to retain more! Haha thanks again for checking out the new round of finds!
Thanks! I couldn’t believe how I found them both so close to each other. Not sure if they were intentionally placed like that or not? Thanks for checking it out!
Thanks man! That red benton at the end was quite the surprise for me. It’s one of my favorite finds due to finding it strangely buried 1000’s of years ago on top of a pestle. It makes you wonder the story behind it. A spear point buried along side a food processing tool. It would be like finding a power drill buried next to a kitchen blender! Maybe as an offering in some way a husband and wife (modernly speaking) both buried / offered their prized tools for some ceremonial purpose? The reasons are endless! Thanks for taking the time to check it out and comment!
What a double find, man that's awesome !!! And the other points, gosh, still able to harvest supper even today !!!! Loved it man and SUPERB music !!!!!!!
Thanks buddy! The stuff that can be found never fails to amaze me. That’s what I love about this hobby, not knowing what you may stumble upon each and every time you go out! I appreciate you checking it out and taking the time to comment!
Thanks buddy! You know as I was trying to pull that benton out, I was mentally preparing myself to pull out a piece that was broken in half! Geez I love when I’m wrong! Haha thanks as always buddy for taking the time to watch and comment.
It's neat that you take time to examine and collect the hammerstones. I haven't got the space to keep them myself, and sometimes I have a hard time telling whether I'm looking at a hammerstone, or a well-polished river rock.
Thanks buddy! I don’t really have the space for them either… but it’s hard to leave one laying there when it’s so obviously a hammer stone! Haha But I hear ya on deciding on if you’re looking at a hammer stone or a natural rock sometimes. They usually have a rough spot on one end from the percussion. Then again natural rocks can too! Haha
Thanks buddy! Too bad I’ll never see a dime from it.. I get too attached to the artifacts I find and just wind up framing it with all the others! I’m sure my kids will probably put them all in a box and sell it for $5 in a yard sale after I’m gone! Haha
Great finds once again brother. We call that type Pestle a cow’s hoof. Most of them don’t have an indentation in the base and if it does it’s a slight one. Killer Benton made of a beautiful material. Happy for you.
Thanks as always! I found this benton at the same spot I found that benton from my video titled “translucent beauty” from 4 months ago. My buddy seems to think they might have been together at some point.
Thanks so much! But trust me, I for sure wanted to scream! Main reason I keep my composure when I video is because I for 1 don’t enjoy watching finds from my past and hearing me fumbling for words in the background! Haha I enjoy rewatching my past finds and hearing the sounds of nature and whatnot in the background. Helps me relive the moment better as if I was there again! I appreciate you taking the time to check out the finds!
AT 18:50 it seems there's a bright yellow PALEO DISASTER separation layer and it looks like flint chips may be coming out as well? Could be some more awesome stuff come out of that wall?
Yeah, I’m not sure what that layer was? There was flint, ochre looking stuff, and ash in that layer. As well as above and below it. Not sure what made that particular layer so bright?! I found 2 more pieces out of that particular spot over the past couple weeks. One I believe was a big sandy. They will be in the next video!
The red one seems like it was done with all hammer stone or billet due to the concoidal signatures left on it. Only the notches appear to be done with pressure flaking of some kind. For sure the stone was heat treated. Great find!
That’s interesting man! Thanks for sharing. I always enjoy hearing and learning from other peoples knowledge! Thanks for the input and for checking it out!
Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment! I enjoy sharing my finds with as many people as I can, instead of keeping them hidden away like they typically seem to be.
Thanks man! I went back to where I found that piece today after I got off work… nada! I keep hoping a couple more will spill out of that bank! Haha thanks for checking out the vid and commenting!
@@Points365 always enjoy watching your content, we had a stellar day today! Found around 21 points today and 2 perfect drills. I’ll have the video up by around 6-7 tonight 👍
Thanks buddy! I was so pumped to find them both and especially so close together. If that wasn’t intentional then the odds of that happening was slim to none! Thanks again buddy!
It’s definitely Points 365’s World and we are all just living in it!….😂 Wow! talk about a Museum quality Benton made out of Museum quality material. Throw in a beautiful pestle to boot! Amazing really! Good finds man. Thanks for sharing.
Haha oh man, that’s too funny! I’m just doing my thing out here like the rest of ya! It pays off every now and then. Most times it does not! Hah But I still can’t get over how that benton and pestle were just laying right next to one another like that. I can’t wait to see what comes out of that spot over the next few years! Thanks as always for taking the time to watch and comment!
Thanks buddy! I’m pretty excited about that pestle. I have it sitting on top of my grinding stone.. it looks like they were made for each other! Thanks for coming back to check out the new finds man!
Okay, that does it. I'm movin' to Tennessee. You're killin' me bro! That Benton is insane! If I found just that pestle alone, I would have guessed it was Late woodland or Mississippian culture. But they're obviously associated. Especially the Benton being right on top. There's no way that pestle is younger. I honestly thought pestles were agriculture related?. I would've never guessed they were in use during the middle archaic?? learn something new everyday. And those are awesome and all, but you know I'm a knife guy. That crazy early archaic square knife with the thumb depressions is what had me screaming.. Killer finds!
And seriously.. If you tell me you didn't dig a 6 foot hole around where you found that Benton and pestle, I'm going to baby-shake you when I come up there.. haha!
Man you’ve been talking about moving up here for a while now… all talk! Haha But I don’t know much about when pestles came into play as far as cultures go, but there’s no denying it being either older, or directly related to the benton / archaic period. It’s pretty sweet being able to find stuff before it washes out of the dirt. But uhhh… don’t be mad, but no diggy!😬 That’s a big no no around here unless you’re on private property. I try not to she’s a negative view on artifact hunters. We already get a bad rap from all the piece of crap, crack head looking fools out there that hunt.
@@Points365 I found work in Tennessee, but I'm not sure I want to take it. I still can't decide if I want to live in Chattanooga, Knoxville, or near Nashville. If you had to do it again, where would you move? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Oh, and I threw together a quick video for you showing my coffee table case, if you are interested. My collection is not as extensive and impressive as yours, I'm sure. But it's all I've managed to scrape together in my 50 years. ua-cam.com/video/SQFQel0xO6g/v-deo.html
Thanks man! I keep on it nonstop trying to keep up my reputation of finding top notch stuff. Just when I think I’m gonna have to release a vid with some mediocre stuff, I wind up finding a nice one to save the vid! Haha thanks though man, I appreciate y’all watching!
@@artifacthunter1472 Maybe if he was hunting on a river. But that lake couldn't flood enough to lay down enough silt to cover those artifacts in several feet of soil!
Thank y’all! The benton from my video 4 months ago titled “translucent beauty” was found in the exact spot. My buddy thinks they were placed there together since those broad base bentons are sometimes found in small caches. Maybe more will spit out this year!! Thanks for checking it out!
Thanks a lot man! It never fails to amaze me the things that are out there to be found by those who look. I appreciate the kind words and you taking the time to check it out!
Man O man what some sweethearts I mean killers ! Awesome hunt brother , whew that last bank ….. May be a high water check all summer!!! Great job man thanks for bringing video.
Haha thanks buddy! Days like that should happen more often! That spot is definitely on my radar. I found them at the same spot I found that benton in my video titled “translucent beauty” from 4 months ago. My buddy thinks it might be part of a benton cache, finding 2 so similar, and of unusual material. So needless to say, I’ll be back time and time again! Thanks as always man!
Yeah, it was a wild experience for sure! I went back and found another piece laying right below it a couple weeks ago. It wasn’t quite that impressive, but still nice none the less! It’ll be in the video released after the next one that’s coming out tomorrow. April was a productive month for me! Thanks for watching buddy!
Thank you! They don’t come easy that’s for sure! I probably don’t want to do the math and figure out how many hours I have to hunt per artifact I find! Haha Either way I love it, and love being out there… finds or no finds! I appreciate you coming back to check out the new round of finds!
Thanks man! But that benton at the end is for sure going to be a centerpiece! I’m hoping there’s more to come out of that spot. If so, you’ll see it on here! Thanks as always for taking the time to watch and comment!
Thanks buddy! Indeed, days like that are unfortunately unusual. But if it were that easy all the time imagine all the people that would be hunting! I already have the nonstop feeling of being a day late and a dollar short whenever it comes to seeing the footprints just about everywhere I go! Haha I just keep on chugging along, finding them in peoples footprints from time to time! Thanks for checking it out man.
Super finds brother, that Benton is museum quality for sure! Congrats on all of the finds. I’m glad your out there recovering them as they are just slowly going to the bottom of the rivers, and creeks. Most folks just don’t have any idea of how many natives were out there roaming around for centuries. Keep up the good work. Always love watching your vids! No commentary is great, I get to add in my own. Again super finds all.
Thanks man! I found that benton at the same place as the one from my video 4 months ago titled “translucent beauty”. Both broad stem bentons, both made of unusually showy material. It’s got me wondering if they were at one point together?! Either way I’ll be back looking for more! Thanks again though for checking out the finds and for taking the time to leave a comment!
Thanks buddy! It does make it a little more interesting when you can find stuff still in the layer it was of earth it was left in. Man oh man though.. just saw your last upload! You are on it my friend!
You lucky lucky dog..you are on some killer ground..keep at um..the water is still to high here in Chattanooga..hell they were runnin 88,000 cfm through chickamauga dam yesterday..good luck and happy huntin to ya brother
Haha I know man, my luck is gonna run out one of these days! But with all that water moving, think of all the erosion it’s causing! There will probably be stuff laying all over the place when that water drops! Thanks for checking out the new finds and commenting buddy!
@@Points365 oh yeah I got spots that people would never think of findin stuff like civil war bullets...plus other places just like that one..good luck and happy huntin to ya brother
Thanks man! Haha unfortunately digging is a mega no no unless you’re on private property with permission. I feel ya though… there’s no telling what’s right behind another inch of dirt there! Thanks for checking it out man!
I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t slightly jealous of your awesome hunting spots lol. That red one on top of the pestle at the end is a killer! What do you have it typed as? Love it when you find a big thin point that makes that ringing sound as you move it around in your hand.
Hey it’s all good man! A little jealousy is good for everyone every now and then! Thanks though buddy. Benton is what I’m calling it. Broad stemmed to be specific. But agreed on that sound when handling a thin piece with that ring that I love to hear oh so much! Haha thanks as always buddy!
Thanks buddy! Yeah man it blows my mind to see how deep this stuff can be sometimes. There are some spots where you can see ash, flakes, etc. easily 15-20’ below surface level. To me that’s insane! Thanks as always buddy!
i was wondering if you have thought about showing some of your better pieces and maybe having some good bluegrass to go with it? totally love your vids and watch them all. used to hunt artifacts a lot when i was younger, nearly 50 years ago now. still love them. i guess that will never change. thanks for the show!
Thanks Dave! I have thought about showing some of my past finds. I have quite a few videos of some of the nice past finds, but the quality of video isn’t as good. I guess I could make a current video showing them though. It’s a thought! Thanks for the input buddy! I bet you’ve got quite the collection if you spent years hunting. But I’d say after 50 years and still enjoying artifacts so much, you officially love them! Haha Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment!
You put on the best videos I've seen. And I appreciate the fact that you dont scream and jump up and down like a 5 year old when you find a fantastic point, like some of these head hunter's do .You have fantastic taste in the music you have on your videos. And your finds are fantastic.I cant wait for your next video to come on .Keep up the fantastic work .
Thank you. I don’t get many people that prefer my style of videos. They may like them, but don’t prefer them. Many people seem to want the hollering and whatnot. There are plenty of those channels to choose from! Haha thank you though for taking the time to watch and to leave a positive comment. It’s greatly appreciated!
Man I wish I could.. so bad! That’s a big no no around here unless on private property, so I try and walk the straight and narrow… as hard as it may be! Haha thanks for checking out the finds buddy!
Another awesome video my friend! Love that pestle and man Big Red was a smoker! It's amazing how close they were together. Congrats on your finds again and God Bless you and your family! Happy Hunting!!
Thanks man! But yeah it’s still hard to believe that they were laying so close together. I’m looking forward to seeing what else comes out of that spot this year! Thanks again buddy and best of luck to y’all out there!
You have a fascinating hobby , I use a mettdetetcor 😢 but u can't find points with one of these 😮 except axadetal I found only one under a modern state quarter of N C
I'm so intrigued by those method. I've always just surface hunted fields, creeks, and a little digging. I just got a nice new kayak. What tips can you give me on riverbank hunting? I'm right near Nashville. Those are all killers man. Thanks
Oh man, kayaks are able to glide along literally inches from the bank. Just start scanning the bank as you paddle upstream, then scan the other side as you drift back to the car. I started that way. If I saw 1 flake, I’d get out and walk high and low. Sometimes you’ll find more to keep you coming back! Sometimes you’ll just see a point laying right out in the open like it’s been waiting on you! You’ll slowly start finding spots like that, the more places you explore. That’s how I had to find all my spots. Unfortunately there isn’t a map with X’s all over it to show where spots are! Haha Plus people are usually pretty secretive about “their” spots as you can imagine. But finding spots by your own hard work and time put into it is respectable, and personally makes me feel like I’ve earned every piece I ever find! Good luck to you man and if you have any more questions just holler at me. I’m always down to talk artifact hunting!
@@Points365 thanks man!!!!! One quick question...what time of year is best let's say the Cumberland River for the banks to be visible and low enough to hunt
365 days a year man! Hence the channel name!😂 But seriously.. when the water is high, or when the water is low, I find lots of stuff no matter the body of water. The water is lower in the summer, more exposed bank, but tons more people out hunting. Winter time the water is higher, but less people have the testicular fortitude to hunt then. So it still makes for some prime hunting! Don’t let the abundance of footprints you’re likely to see get you down either. You’ll for sure find stuff people walked right past. Happens ALL the time!
Awesome mate I'd love to go to America and see that. So much history. Do you ever look at points and day dream about how it was lost and by who. Excellent work mate thank you 🙂
Thanks so much! I think of that often when finding artifacts. How does one lose such a piece? Was it placed there intentionally, and never retrieved? Was it dropped and left in haste? What were they getting away from? Was it a missed shot at a deer? So many questions! It’s like I was telling someone earlier.. it’s like a well written book with the ending left blank for you to interpret. Fill in with your own thoughts. It really makes the mind wander! Thanks again buddy, I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment!
Thanks buddy! I’m still in disbelief that they were there so close to one another. I can’t wait to see what else comes from that spot! Thanks for checking it out!
Thanks buddy! I’m constantly on the lookout for new spots in new areas. It seems like as soon as one site drys up, another one opens up somewhere else, so the hunt never ends!
Amazing recoveries especially the last piece, can't wait for you to check out some of the stuff I have been finding, found a holland the other day, my best find to date.
Thanks man, I appreciate it! That’s what I love about this hobby as I’m sure you do too… you just never know what you’re going to stumble upon while out there hunting! It’s the thrill that keeps us going back! Thanks again man and I can’t wait to check it out. Could you reply with a link to that vid?
Hey buddy how are you doing? Good I hope. I've been layed up lame this week, got me working on starting a U-tube channel and started to upload some older videos from my phone. Hope to see you subscribe and see you soon.
Thanks for the video. That place must be loaded.Great looking material.Great job on the camera.Enjojed the adventure and wilderness and the finds just made another great video.I'll be waiting for more content from your channel.Aporeciate your passion.🗽🇺🇸💯🗽
Thanks man! The TN river valley is know for its abundance and quality of artifacts. I’m fortunate enough to have lived here my whole life. I unfortunately didn’t become as passionate about artifacts until later. I wish I had been more into it when I was younger! I appreciate you checking it out and commenting. I’m hoping to have another video out later tomorrow afternoon if I can piece together a video in time! Thanks again for watching buddy!
Ok! Now you are just showing off!!! Haha just joking. I even had a intermission half way through your vidio because I new the best was yet to come. All joking aside! Beautiful finds I love the blade! And all the points to! But the last finds are over the moon cool! You are blessed! Take care.
Haha thanks as always! I am showing for sure, but not trying to show off! I’m sure the productive past couple months I’ve had will be followed by a couple months of a dry spell. All I can do is get out there and keep looking though! That blade was a interesting one for sure, made of some different (for my area) material. The material of that last benton, jasper im guessing, is sort of unusual for me as well. Thanks again for always watching and taking the time to comment!
Thanks as always buddy! I was pretty pumped to find those together. I found that benton at the same exact spot as the benton from my video 4 months ago titled “translucent beauty”. My buddy is convinced they are part of a benton cache. You know I’m gonna keep going back just to make sure! Haha thanks again man for checking out the new round of finds, and good luck out there!
Wish I could find a good place to look I've been looking for 32 years in center AL found all the other things they used got some pretty good stuff but not a lot of points be great to find a good place with points have a safe time
It’s strange how some areas seem to have a higher concentration of projectile points. It was obviously a necessity of life for the ancient people, and one would think that would be reflected in the artifacts found. Mid AL and mid TN aren’t that far apart really. You’d think it would be one and the same. Maybe they just enjoyed the seeming abundance of ticks and poison ivy we have up here! Haha
Thanks buddy! I’m telling you though.. I still can’t get over finding those 2 pieces on top of one another! I found it at the same spot I found the big benton in my video from 4 months ago titled “translucent beauty”. My buddy thinks they might have been part of a benton cache. I’m gonna keep going back to see it more spit out! Thanks as always buddy!
If I could I would for sure! Around here sticking a shovel or digging implement into the ground that’s not your own place, or with permission is a no no. I walk the straight and narrow, hoping to find things as they naturally become uncovered. There’s no telling what’s just below the surface though!
Two big whopdaddies on two consecutive videos!! Man, man… my name would be Points 365 if I had your area to hunt too! 🤣 Another greats vid! 👍👍 I expect a 24” duck river sword on the next one!! Good luck! 🤣
Haha man after a good past month or so it’ll probably be followed by a long dry spell! But man I tell you what.. the day I find a 24” duck river sword, that’ll be the day I retire early and literally hunt 365! Haha thanks for checking out the new round of finds and we’ll see what surprises are in store for the next!
Thanks buddy! Yeah I’m hoping the mortar falls out of that wall one of these days. That would be too awesome to reunite them after so long! As far as the size of that benton.. I forgot the length right off the top of my head, but my palm is 3.5” wide exactly. So judging by the pic I’m looking at, I’d guesstimate 4.5” or so. Thanks for checking it out man!
Man the thrill of pulling artifacts never gets old! Never knowing what you’re gonna find next keeps you coming back time and time again. The song is titled “Lost Native” by Nat Keefe. Thanks again for coming back to check out the new finds!
I would think that there are relatively tight clusters of arrowhead deposits out there...Animals tend to follow the same pattern according to the topography and flora so maybe over thousands of years of people hunting them from similar positions would deposit arrowheads in confined areas due to missed shots...I would also imagine that the people probably searched for arrowheads even thousands of years ago because it was easier than making them especially if you were a youngster.
I found a couple more points there where I found that red benton. One of which was laying exactly below where I pulled that red one out from. They are obviously piled up in that one particular spot!
I sure admire your camera work. Sharp, steady, frame filling shots. It must take a lot of self control not to utter even a single syllable at some of the awesome points you are finding. Maybe you do that off camera.
Thanks man I appreciate it! That first piece has me stumped though. It doesn’t look exactly like any point type I know of. I find a lot of buck creek points at that particular spot, I guess it has some buck creek potential, but that’s a stretch. Any thoughts on it?
As always enjoyed watching thanks for sharing and I got my kayak out yesterday for the first time this year and searched a couple gravel bars found some neat stuff you should check it out 👍
Gave me chills last arrowhead plus hand tool......like maker wanted them to be together. I thought the big rock tool was for grinding seeds & dry herbs stuff to eat into powders, medicines, teas. Spices. 😊😃thank U 🏆 📹
Thank you! That benton gave me the chills too.. every time I rewatch that pull! I’ve watched it at least a dozen times… AT LEAST! Haha But yeah that’s what I’d assume the pestle was for. Or possibly for grinding ochre. There were remnants of that in the dirt wall it came out of. I was hoping the mortar would be stuck in the dirt somewhere around it! Haha thanks as always for checking out the vid and for taking the time to comment!
Thanks buddy! The benton in my video “translucent beauty” from 4 months ago was found at the same spot. I was wondering if they were part of a possible cache? A buddy of mine seems to think so. I poked around a little bit, but I try not to get into that. It’s a big no no around here! Last thing I need is to get busted doing something like that where I’m not supposed to! Thank y’all for checking it out!
@@Points365 im the same way. I have permission to dig on the village site we hunt but we never have. I wouldn’t know where to start. I’d at least keep checking that spot. It just looked like a lot of charcoal pieces down around it. Like they dug a hole to bury it in. If you found the other one there too it really makes me believe it’s a cache.
Do you have a Facebook page or anything I could send a picture to you on? I found one similar to that one on your video and would like to see what you think it is. It’s not as good as yours but probably the best one I’ve ever found.
Man you consistently find high quality artifacts you have to have one hell of a collection!! Consider yourself blessed to be where you are 🔥
Thanks man I really appreciate it.
Zactly !!
Your collection must be amazing! You find some of the best artifacts I've ever seen!❤
Hey points that red one is awesome brother and I love watching your videos keep up the good work and stay safe brother
Thanks man I appreciate it! The particular spot has spit out 3 large Benton’s made out of unusually colorful material over the years. I can’t help but find myself hoping for the next one each time I get out there!
You found some beautiful pieces my friend ! Thanks for letting us watch. Keep up the good work.....
Thanks man! It’s a pleasure to share my finds and I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment!
Great video, man. Many thanks. We watched it Thursday night in the garage. Every other week high point!
So Many Arrowheads-! Amazing!! I like your “Where’s Waldo” approach to video. You film, and find treasure at the same time …
Thanks Cindy! I can’t believe you haven’t walked up on an awesome one yet in that creek you walk all the time. It’s only a matter of time!
You are so awesome! These are the best videos and your eye is so keen, thanks for sharing!
Wow what a big red Benton! Sweet!
I l-o-v-e the way you did this video! I felt like I was there. Thank you!
Thank you! That’s exactly the feel I go for with my videos with no interruption from my end to take away from the moment or the artifact. I’m glad you enjoyed and hope you take the time to enjoy more of my finds!
Brother!!! Just wow always...... the big red point just kept on coming out!!!
Haha man I know! I was just hopeful that it wasn’t broken like they usually are 90% of the time. Thanks for checking out the finds and for commenting buddy!
Beautimus share n saves. Thankya buddy, Great finds.
Thanks again man! I appreciate it!
My Goodness !!! Awesome Big Red,and Pestle-hammer stone cache.......
I'm up in KY. Where I am ,all the creeks are mud ..lol
Wow!!! Big Red is a smoking beauty!!
Thanks man! It was an amazing pull that will definitely stand out in my memory for the rest of my life for sure! Thanks for taking the time to check it out!
Sweet finds brother. Love that pestle. Nicely defined. I found one yesterday. Good luck
Thanks buddy! You posted that find yet?
@@Points365 not yet. I’ve got some more videos to post. Maybe next week👍
Now that's a sweet point, very nice! That"s about as perfect as they get.
Beautiful red jasper, The last spearpoint was amazing!
Thanks again man, I appreciate it!
Thanks for sharing the big guns.
It’s always a pleasure buddy, I appreciate you checking it out!
Oh baby! That red point is sweet! The Pestle is cool too! great finds all.
Thanks! I couldn’t believe how I found them both so close to each other. Not sure if they were intentionally placed like that or not? Thanks for checking it out!
Nice ending. That red point is awesome!
Some amazing finds, love the knife with the big divots
Thanks buddy! It is quite an unusual and neat looking piece. Thanks for checking it out!
KIller finds once more! Love that big red one!
Haha
INCREDIBLE SAVES. Just AWESOME brother!
Thanks man, I appreciate it! Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment as well.
Holy Moly, Big Red is a fantastic find. That has to be a G9 worth $1,000 or more.
Why a cows hoof. Grinding seeds, dry herbs, etc. Food & medicines....
@@lindaleehulsey3167 Because that’s what it resembles.
Thanks as always! I found this benton at the same spot I found that benton from my video titled “translucent beauty” from 4 months ago. My buddy seems to think they might have been together at some point.
@@Points365 Benton’s come in bunches
How did you not scream out in joy when you found big red!
Super awesome finds !!!!!!!
Thanks again buddy!
Hmmm 🤔🤔. Thank you for sharing this great educational material.
Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment! I enjoy sharing my finds with as many people as I can, instead of keeping them hidden away like they typically seem to be.
Brother that big red one is nice. Awesome video.
Thanks man! I went back to where I found that piece today after I got off work… nada! I keep hoping a couple more will spill out of that bank! Haha thanks for checking out the vid and commenting!
Wow! Beautiful!
Awesome Finds those arrow heads
Thanks buddy!
Sweet Benton👍 Good job keep ‘Em coming!
Thanks buddy! I appreciate you checking out the new round of finds!
@@Points365 always enjoy watching your content, we had a stellar day today! Found around 21 points today and 2 perfect drills. I’ll have the video up by around 6-7 tonight 👍
Those were killer finds. Especially the pestal and big red! Lol
Thanks buddy! I was so pumped to find them both and especially so close together. If that wasn’t intentional then the odds of that happening was slim to none! Thanks again buddy!
No problem my man. I'm hoping to get out this Sunday. Been awhile since I've been out.
I like you look at those rocks and wonder soo many things!
If only the artifacts could tell their story! Thanks for checking out the new finds buddy!
Bunch of killers and super nice pedestal 😃👍👍👍
Thanks buddy! I’m pretty excited about that pestle. I have it sitting on top of my grinding stone.. it looks like they were made for each other! Thanks for coming back to check out the new finds man!
@@Points365 I like watching every video you make always good pulls Everytime 👍👍👍

Thanks man! I keep on it nonstop trying to keep up my reputation of finding top notch stuff. Just when I think I’m gonna have to release a vid with some mediocre stuff, I wind up finding a nice one to save the vid! Haha thanks though man, I appreciate y’all watching!
That Broad Base Benton is sick. I believe that the pestle and it are associated. It's just too big of a coincidence not to be.👍👊
Too many ancient floods to be sure!

Man O man what some sweethearts I mean killers ! Awesome hunt brother , whew that last bank ….. May be a high water check all summer!!! Great job man thanks for bringing video.
Haha thanks buddy! Days like that should happen more often! That spot is definitely on my radar. That’s crazy finding those together.
@@Points365 thanks man. Congrats again and it was exciting to watch as well.
Oh my gosh- you find so many really nice pieces! That big red is an impressive grande finale👍😁😎
Thank you! They don’t come easy that’s for sure! I probably don’t want to do the math and figure out how many hours I have to hunt per artifact I find! Haha Either way I love it, and love being out there… finds or no finds! I appreciate you coming back to check out the new round of finds!
Awesome finds! That red point is a smoker for sure eh!
Thanks man! But that benton at the end is for sure going to be a centerpiece! I’m hoping there’s more to come out of that spot. If so, you’ll see it on here! Thanks as always for taking the time to watch and comment!
Excellent video as always
Thanks man, I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment!
That was a superb double find. Days like that are far to few. Good luck on the next outing.

Awesome finds brother, the point and pestle was a cool pull. Its crazy how deep they were in that bank. Congrats man
Thanks buddy! Yeah man it blows my mind to see how deep this stuff can be sometimes. There are some spots where you can see ash, flakes, etc. easily 15-20’ below surface level. To me that’s insane! Thanks as always buddy!

I guess I could make a current video showing them though. It’s a thought! Thanks for the input buddy! I bet you’ve got quite the collection if you spent years hunting. @@Points365 your very welcome.
All I can do is get out there and keep looking though! That blade was a interesting one for sure, made of some different (for my area) material. The material of that last benton, jasper im guessing, is sort of unusual for me as well. Thanks again for always watching and taking the time to comment!
Love the pestle and point found together! Don't think it was coincidental.
Thank you! I like to think of it as intentional… the chances of that happening seems so unlikely! I appreciate you checking it out man!
That’s an incredible double find man! Beautiful Benton and pestle. Great camera work on all of them as well. Congrats! Look forward to seeing more!
Haha
Holy %#&@ !!!! That last red one was a stunner and right next to the pestle! Epic
Would it be a fairly good strategy when you find one sticking out of a sandbank, to sift some materials in that bank?
If I could I would for sure! Around here sticking a shovel or digging implement into the ground that’s not your own place, or with permission is a no no. I walk the straight and narrow, hoping to find things as they naturally become uncovered. There’s no telling what’s just below the surface though!
super jealous nice finds!!!
Thanks so much! I appreciate you checking it out!
Awesome finds!
Thanks man I appreciate it! Y’all pull some nice stuff up there in KY that’s for sure! Thanks for checking out the finds buddy!
Paul here. It would be nice to see the display of the days finds.
Nice finds congrats love hunt arrowheads too
Thanks man! I appreciate you checking it out!
Killer pieces specially that pestle hopefully you can find the other piece that goes with it also is that last point you found how long is it
Thanks buddy!
Amazing artifacts! Must be a thrill to pull those big lunkers out. Love that bluegrass! Would love to know the titles
So frickin awsome!!
Thanks buddy! The benton at the end is one of my favorite finds!
Amazing treasures
Thanks buddy, I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment!
Awesome finds! What was the identity of the first point you found in the video?
Thanks man I appreciate it! That first piece has me stumped though. It doesn’t look exactly like any point type I know of. I find a lot of buck creek points at that particular spot, I guess it has some buck creek potential, but that’s a stretch. Any thoughts on it?
It was gorgeous. I would have to agree with you. Buck Creek looks good to me. Excellent finds again man! Keep it up
Wow and wow again!!!!!!!!!!!!
As always enjoyed watching thanks for sharing and I got my kayak out yesterday for the first time this year and searched a couple gravel bars found some neat stuff you should check it out 👍
Thanks buddy! You just now dragged out the ol S.S. Arrowhead?! I figured you’d be out there sliding across the ice! Haha
Great content
Thanks buddy, I appreciate you checking it out!
Superb! I'd call that a cache. That was sweet. Did you scratch around any deeper right there?
I was wondering the same thing. Scratch through a bit of that same level.
What kind of point is that in the picture on this video?
It’s a benton. Broad base / stem benton I believe is the specific name of this particular type. Thanks for checking it out!
Do you have a Facebook page or anything I could send a picture to you on? I found one similar to that one on your video and would like to see what you think it is. It’s not as good as yours but probably the best one I’ve ever found.
