- In this video, I spend an entire day hunting the "Field of Dreams" looking for smokers and bison skulls. At the last moment the good Lord smiled down on me and I walked up on a potential once-in-a-lifetime find. I'll probably never top this find and I'm okay with the thought of that.
Also, in this video I mention early on about an area where in one of my previous videos I found what may possibly be a Greenbrier. To watch that video, click the link below.

Wow! Smoker Agate Basin/ Packard complex. I got some backup opinion on it, made of heavily patinated Frisco chert.
Leland, sorry the surprise wasn't as much as a surprise for you as everyone else since I asked you to help me ID it before the video went out. I want to thank you again for all the help you gave me and all the people you reached out to in order to further confirm the type/material. You've been an enormous help and great encouragement to me. When I hear someone like you is impressed with one of my finds it is humbling. Thanks again buddy!
I'm still learning the different flakes types From 1st glance I thought it was a Cody complex but it's definitely paleo one million percent
@@ChristopherRyans I'll tell you what, trying to learn to identify points and materials has been a real challenge for me. I'm wrong more often than I'm right. I have a lot to learn, haha

You were a lucky man that day. That point at the end of the day is I believe a agate basin of the late Paleo period and is a beautiful point. It makes me remember my first Paleo piece, I was working on a farm and the owner cleared some new fields and I decided to hunt them for artifacts and I walked up on a Clovis site. I found 3 nice beautiful Clovis points and several Clovis knives and tools. I have never found anything like that since and I doubt I ever will. 3 Clovis points and a pocket full of Clovis tools in one day will be hard to beat. I still have every piece in one frame telling where I found them. I have been offered several thousand dollars for the frame but keep turning it down. No amount of money is worth the best hunt I have ever had
Thank you! It was a very fortunate day for me. I bet you'll never forget your triple Clovis in three lifetimes! Thanks for sharing!
Lord let this young man find his bison skull next please. And thank you young man for mentioning and giving praise to our father.
William, thank you for lifting me up in prayer like that. That was very kind of you. God bless!
You bet brother. It seems I keep coming back to this video and it blows me away everytime
SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEETTT!!! That is what keeps us going, walking, sweating, cussing in frustration, pounding the gravel bars week after week - just the off chance that at some moment we might walk up on something like THAT.
Congratulations on an incredible Agate Basin!!
Thank you, Indiana! You said it perfectly. It's the reason why we all keep pushing. I still can't believe I found it. Good luck out there to ya!
That was an incredible video. And the enjoyment you got out of founding that Paleo point was truly infectious. I just love it when other people have great successes. I got a lot of enjoyment out of this video and looking forward to more. Take care, Jim in Louisville
Thank you for sharing.
When you washed it off and its sitting in your hand it is like looking at great ART.
I thought the same thing. I know these tools were utilitarian but it's clear that these craftsman were very proud of their craft and surely appreciated the beauty in their work. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Wow!! Just an incredible Agate Basin! Size, shape, material, and craftsmanship! Find of a lifetime brother! Congrats to you for pushing through exhaustion. It was definitely rewarding! Thanks for sharing!
It will definitely be a day I won't soon forget. Still can hardly believe it though! Thank you so much for watching and taking time to comment!
That is the best one you've found hands down. Now you're hooked for life. Welcome to the club, bub.
It TOTALLY is the best one. I knew immediately it was top 3 and then by the time I was home with it I really started to realize that I had something extra special. I'll prob never top it but you're right, I'm going to be chasing the dragon until I'm old and frail now. Lifer. Lord willin' and the creek don't rise, of course!
So glad you are thankful to the right Person for your beautiful find. It is a gift..😊

@@bigg204 thank you, bigg! I'm glad you enjoyed!
WOW!!!! That’s one of the best I’ve ever seen on here. Congrats on such an amazing find. You definitely have the eye for it. The fact that you saw that little bit and recognized it for what it was is awesome. Hats off to you sir!
Thank you Ray! I think it may be one of those points that I may never top. And if so, that's ok. Every time I walk past the display I have to stop and stare at it, haha. Thank you for watching and commenting
Absolutely once in a lifetime fine sir. Congratulations . They say there's less than 10000 Clovis out there That have been found. This is very similar and from near the same time period so it's almost as rare
Thank you! I think that's my favorite aspect of arrowhead hunting. I love to think about the age of the points. The older they are the more excited I am about them.
,Wow, wow, wow, auuuuuuuu incredible beauty of that find my friend, it's nice that those pieces don't stay there in oblivion. God sent you there to find her, only you belong. It was very difficult to see and you still located it. Congratulations and may many of these continue.
Coyote, it was a miracle I found it. I give God the credit! You find incredible artifacts so it feels great to hear how impressed you are by my find. Thank you for watching and commenting and good luck to you!
Too cool...it's a feeling that can't be explained. Disbelief and thankfulness hit me when I pulled a clovis . Definitely the Lord at work. L8r bro bro
And the Lord works in mysterious ways too, doesn't He? I was basically done with my hunt when I found it and more or less spotted it by accident. Thanks for watching, Rusty!
My word!!!!!!!
It's special!
Worth the wait for this vid!
As fine as can be made, and too think how many thousands it's set waiting for you.👍
That's the part that gets me, Scott... is just knowing the age of the thing and how it survived at all! What a journey. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Wow!!! God is good ain’t He brother??!! What an awesome day of hunting!! Love the assortment of awesomeness but I gotta say…..that agate basin is just exquisite!! Everything about it just screams “LOOK AT ME!!!” Without a doubt made by a true master knapper!! Huge congrats to you my friend and I wish you many more blessings just like this!! 👍🏻😎
God IS good! I am so blessed to have found it and I will NEVER forget that day. I may never top it again and that's okay if I don't. I'm happy with what I got. BTW, I love you guys' videos and Heartbreaker Relics' channels. You guys find some amazing artifacts and I've learned a lot from watching both of your channels. Love you guys' brotherhood too. Great bunch of guys. Good luck to all of you and happy hunting!
@@meandmyshadow6269 Much appreciated bro!!! 👍🏻👍🏻
I will turn 55 yo in 8 days I have hunted since I was 6 I have never came close to a find like that!! Congratulations 🎉🎊🎈
Sim, thank you for that. I'm humbled to hear all of these comments. I knew I had something great when I found it but after all the feedback from everyone here I have really come to understand how special that find is. All I can say is that the good Lord really smiled down on me that day. Thanks for watching and commenting!
That was meant to be, it's crazy you even spotted it in the sand like that. That might be the nicest AB/Packard I've seen from our area. Killer find!
Brother, it was 100% meant to be. It was basically an accident find. I was totally exhausted and basically just happened to catch my eye when I was in full zombie mode. When I hear guys like you and Leland tell me it's a true killer then I know I must have found something legit. I can't believe I found it. Lost In Time, thanks much for stopping by and watching! Hope you're having some good luck out there too!
So happy for you brother that was an amazing piece. And your so right with out God the father nothing would be possible Amen.
Amen to that, friends! Amen. I feel so fortunate to be able to do this kind of thing for a hobby. God is good.
Ya ok
Good to see you out and about my friend
Thank you Alan! I appreciate your continued support of my channel!
Wow what a beauty, those kinda points dont come easy. Awesome stuff
Thank you, Turd! Yeah, it's going to be hard to top that one for sure
Great spear point. I have not found anything like that since the 90's when I was still in NY. Well done video. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks DMO! And I probably won't ever find anything like that one again, haha. Glad you enjoyed the video! And thank you for the sub too, btw
Killer point man! Congrats! Would pee my pants if I found one like that! Looks like an agate basin paleo point. Wow what a beauty!
Lol, I first read this comment this morning before work and the pee pants part cracked me up even though I had just woken up. Believe me, I almost did pee mine, haha! And yes, it is indeed an agate basin. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Wow. Simply stunning! I rarely get SUPER jealous watching point pulls bc I have pulled some pretty awesome stuff myself... but this is like hitting the friggin artifact hunters LOTTERY! Good for you brother. You will have an awesome story and a BEAUTIFUL blade to hand down to your children one day, cherish it well! God bless!
@@Nubenhoofer thank you very much! I'm still stunned everytime I walk by and see it in its frame. Still one of my best finds ever. Maybe THE best.
Came across this video of yours searching for artifacts. Back in the days searching myself with friends, which we called it, Yawking, in an old village site. Whenever I found an artifact I bowed in the four directions and in honor to the ones who created these works of art I would say, "Where your thumb once was, mine is now ".
That Agate Basin Paleo point brought me to my knees as well!! Congrats man! It was too bad that old village site we searched at was used as a motor x track. I considered finding those artifacts as saving them from destruction. To the river my friend and happy hunting. 😀👍👣🛶🧭
@@michaellewis81 I think it's nice to have a little ritual for a find as well. I'm glad to hear others do too! Yes, I also believe that each one found is one that's been rescued and can be given a place where people can marvel at it and discuss it and consider the hands that made it. Thanks for watching and thanks for the thoughtful comment!
Sweet point brother and I like the fossil's too I've looked Oklahoma for 15 years and never found anything like that point
Thank you Eron! I consider myself so fortunate to have found it. Compared to a lot of you guys I'm a beginner at this so I know there is that element of beginners luck for sure! Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@meandmyshadow6269 you keep looking and you'll keep finding stuff brother just glad you found it and it didn't lay out there getting broken
I just now found your channel today thanks to UA-cam recommending it. I see that you’ve only had a channel for less than a year but I don’t know how you only have 400 subs! Excellent finds! I really wish I had an area like this where I live. I’d be out there staring at the ground every chance I got!
Puffin, first of all thank you for the kind words! Secondly, don't get discouraged. Wherever you are I can almost guarantee you there is some kind of adventuring/treasure hunting that you could find to get into. Artifacts, fossils, bottles, marbles, magnet fishing, metal detecting, antiquing, etc....there's bound to be something for you out there! Oddly enough, until about 3 years ago when I started arrowhead hunting I also thought that there wasn't anything like this in my area. I always wanted to find arrowheads but I never bothered looking because I just assumed there wasn't much of it where I live...but I was very wrong. Thanks again for the kind words and for watching and commenting!
That's a top end Agate Basin. Congratulations on the spot, that wasn't easy to see!
Thank you Rodney. I really can't believe I found that still. It's one of the best pieces I've ever found. I consider myself very lucky!
@@meandmyshadow6269 I found my first point when I was 13, a Gary. I really got into hunting and collecting when I was 27 and have been ever since. I just turned 60 and that's one of the nicest Agate Basin points I've seen from Oklahoma. Certainly better than the 2 I found over the years, one near Vian and the other at Ponca City.
@@rodneyblount4303 I've been humbled time and time again by people's hunts on that agate basin I found and your comment is another one of those. Thank you very much! I really got something special that day. I may have asked you this already but I'm assuming you still live in Oklahoma?
WOW ..... just WOW! Gorgeous artifact on soooo many levels! Congrats, and take care.👍🏻✌🏻
What a great video !!! Seems to me most of what you found was Paleo. I believe even the thick Stemmed point is Trans. Paleo. Also it is a proven fact Native Americans made beads out of Crinoids. What an amazing day you had. Thank you for sharing this adventure and bringing some joy to this old man today. Happy hunting and many blessings.
It really was a great day he had. There is a place not far from me, Parkhill, Ont., that is said to have been a collecting spot for crinoid beads.
That's a fact about the Crinoid beads. I've found them with designs made in them. And polished like crazy.👍👊
Thank you as always Kevin! I'm really glad you enjoyed the video. It was a day for the record books, no doubt. I believe you are right about the age of the artifacts from that spot. A lot of the stuff there appears to be quite old. I know other people who hunt there and know the spot well and they say it frequently produces the old stuff. Thanks again!
p.s. glad to hear so many confirmations in this thread about the crinoid beads!
Good eye on that one man. That’s one pull you will remember forever. Way to go.
SeMo, I still can't get over it. Like you said, I'll remember it forever. Thanks much for taking the time to watch and comment!
Very Nice Piece right there!👍
Thank you Clegg! Thanks for stopping by!
Watched it when ya first found it, had to personally congratulate ya , guessing it will be in your top ten for many years to come, beautiful example, keep on em😎😎😎
Thank you for the congrats, GBM. I really appreciate that. Yes, I think it will be very hard to top that point for a very long time. I'll be chasing that high for a long time, haha. Even if I never top it I can live with that. Thanks for watching again and commenting, sir!
Only one word comes to mind: BEAUTIFUL!
Beautiful point. Congrats on the find. I am in northeast TN, lots of campsites within 15 minutes of where I live. I have traded with and talked to quite a few of the old-time artifact hunters. I have personal pictures of myself with Art Gerber and Don Ham and own a few of their finds as well.
Nice one. Points like this made millenia ago were finer workmanship than later arrowheads because a thin point was required for a spear to penetrate mastodon and other similar beasts. Looks like an Eden or Yuma point if I were guessing.
@@daleclark3138 Thank you! Yep, these paleo points were the Mastodon/Mammoth killers. This particular point is an Agate Basin or Packard depending on your choice of regional terminology. Thanks for watching and commenting!
It's Beautiful, that material is too. don't know if I've already commented, but man that's a work of art. Bol out there man, God bless y'all too
Great to see some nice finds popping out the ground
Thanks buddy! Hope you're pulling some good bottles over there in Scotland!
That was AWESOME. Killer spot dude. Love that old stuff

I will say that is absolutely a text book agate basin!
I can't believe it even still! Thanks for watching and commenting!
It must be the new glasses! Aaron Eagle Eyes! So happy for you. And proud!
Lol, the new glasses really have played a big role in helping me see things better on the river. I'm sure glad I have someone that cares enough about me that they'd buy me new glasses as a birthday gift!❤❤❤
The arrowhead you found was the rarest arrowhead and is called a CLOVIS POINT and only about 10,000 have beeen found, so great job on the find! CONGRATZ!
Thank you Florence! It's awe-inspiring to be the first one to touch an artifact in 10,000 years!
Perfection son and great finds, one and all. I love your sense of humor too, by the way. 😉☺️ AMEN!
Thank you, Lizzy! I don't think I'll ever get over finding that thing. I prob won't ever find a better one, haha! Glad you enjoy my cheesy humor. I love being a goober!

Thanks! Just keep looking and you'll find something great sooner or later
@@meandmyshadow6269 Sure hope you're right! I'm in rural Michigan and most of my hunting is done walking the fields. I can't wait for the ground to thaw. I should try my hand at walking some of the rivers and creeks though. Switch it up a bit. 😊
@@hannah0331 Yeah, don't be afraid to try a variety of hunting methods. I've never done any field walking yet but I'd really like to.
Killer piece. Beautiful material that believe is Frisco. And the working is sick. Congratulations brother you put your time in for it and persistence and patience paid off. Simply a chocker Agate Basin.👍👍👍👊
Thank you for the kind words, Sonny! It's one of a kind. I'll never forget that moment. And you are correct, Leland Shanks confirmed for me that it is indeed an Agate Basin made from patenated Frisco chert.
@@meandmyshadow6269 I was pretty sure it was Frisco. And if a man could bottle that feeling when you find a absolute stellar price like that no one would need drugs and alcohol. I commend you for giving God the glory . Because not a lot of UA-camrs do that. I feel the same way about our Lord and Savior.👍👍👍👍👊👊👊🇺🇸
@@sonnypate6808 Amen to that, my friend! Sonny, I want to apologize for how long it takes me to respond to your comments. You and a few other youtubers CONSTANTLY get targeted by youtube for some reason as possible spammers and they hide your comments and put them in the youtube studio waiting approval section and I don't check that spot very often. It's totally random but some of you get put there more than others. I'm trying to get better at checking that spot. When I first started this account it happened to me as well for a couple months. Sometimes I WILL get your comments in my video sections but it won't give me a notification. It's very frustrating. UA-cam's ridiculous algorithm police need to be deactivated. Anyways, thank you for your support!
That was definitely an awesome day.
That Agate Basin is KTM for sure 👍
You cracked me up with the dance moves 🤣 but I didn't see the garter that Mr New saw lol. WEIRD 😳
Lolol! Thank you Larry! It blew me away!
Fantastic find. Beautiful Paleo G-10 possibly. Nice example of what the shape and flaking should be.
Congrats!
Ok Ed Bassmaster sometimes you just gotta “Look at it”😂 I hadn’t got all the way through the video but I wanted to write this so you could look at it!!! 😁 welcome to the wet boot club, I had to run after my boat that was taking off down river and wade out above my knees to retrieve it!😂
Dang brother I just finished the video, WOW that piece is absolutely awesome! I’d love to see a clean up video under a good lighting source and I also bet that piece is partially Translucent if you held it up to a bright light! I’d love to see that as well, welcome to the Paleo club you deserve it and thanks for the shout out to our father. That was as awesome as the arrowhead!!!
Lol, you are the only one so far that got that reference! Or at least the only one who commented on it. Glad to know we got some other Ed Bassmaster fans in the mix!
@@RESURRECTINGRELICS Absolutely, I couldn't be out there doing my thing without the Lord giving me good health and the opportunity to be out in His creation. At the veeery end of the video there is a picture where I'm holding it up to the sky and you can see some of the translucence around the edges, although the picture is kind of dark otherwise. I may do a separate video with some better lighting to really show it off. If any of my arrowheads deserve their own video it would definitely be this one!

THE FLOOD OF 2019! I call it the same thing water was ridiculously high that year . Congratulations on your finds keep up the hard work keep saving those artifacts
Yeah, that was some majorly high water levels that year!
Congrats on an amazing piece of history and well made. He blesses us when we need it.
Thank you, and amen to that!
Wow man, so amazing! Great video
13:44 really freaking cool, Garys and very similar varieties are very common types to find in OK. I found a site next to a creek somewhere in Central OK and noticed that a large majority of the pieces were made with percussion mainly, and this one that you picked up looks exactly like the ones I've been pulling out of the Gary site. Don't know why they stuck to mainly using percussion to make them, but it leads to quite a hunky piece that has this odd yet prominent midline where the flakes meet in the center.
That's so cool. I wonder if maybe they just got really good at knocking out the basic shape really quickly and found that it was effective just as it was so they just stuck with the method. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Definitely amazing!!! Makes it all worth it, even filling your boot with water! Lol. We all been there
Lol, yeah after I found that point I didn't even think about my soggy foot again until I was home
Wow! Congrats bro! That's what I'm talking about!! It can't get any better than that imo.

It was a great day, indeed! Thank you
Hey man, it was really great to meet you today and stomp some gravel bars with you, I really appreciate it. We're definately gonna have to get together again sometime. That really is one killer agate basin, and I feel fortunate to have been able to hold it. Imagine the story behind that piece. For 11,500 years that thing faired the elements and survived tumbling, possibly for many many miles down the river. all to end up in your hands at the end of the day, what a feeling. Awesome stuff.
Jake, it was an honor to be able to hunt with you guys today. I really enjoyed myself. After I got home from our hunt I went back to check out you guys' youtubes again and I didn't even realize that you're the same guy that had that epic hunt with those crescent shaped points you were finding where you were picking up points everywhere off the ground. I watched that video a while back. Glad we got to hunt today, wish everyone would have found more stuff but I'm glad that you walked away with a couple of decent finds. But it was just fun hunting either way. And it was great to share the agate basin with you at the show today. If only it could tell us the things it's seen in all that time. Let's hunt again soon!
Wounderfull!!!, great material.

What a point man. Awesome!!!
@@thornehauser9511 many thanks! It's still one of my best points i've ever found. Top 3 for sure.
The point you thought was a Madison, I think it's a rock but look just to the left and the rock with the two holes, maybe divits but. Like I said maybe nothing but I would have definitely had to scoop it and eyeball it. Nice stuff dude.
Good eyes on that, I never noticed in before! Not sure what it was. Maybe it was some kind of pecking work or just something natural. I guess we'll never know now, lol
That is a beauty!!!! Congrats!! Had my first major arrowhead 5/21/22!!
Thank you R&H! And congrats to you on your first arrowhead! You'll be hooked for sure now if you weren't already
At 19 :03 there is an object just to the left of the broken tip.maybe a couple inches away.it looks man made.has two drill holes one in line above the other.looks bannerstonish...also,the first chert piece u picked up and then discarded ...that was a great artifact.perfectly shaped to use as is as scraper or knap into a great piece.high quality stone to easily shape into anything you chose.
I really missed out on some good stuff there! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Awesome stuff, thanks for the show! Stay well and keep up the hunts. Peace!!
Appreciate you subbing the channel and taking time to watch and comment, Mark!
