To combat the higher costs at McDonald's debuted on June 25.

I had the McDonald’s $5 meal. it’s shocking how little food there was.

the thing that bugs me about the Burger King deal (besides the ridiculously small drink) is they won't let you swap the fries out for onion rings without upcharging even though they cost the same on the menu.
We got the same size drink at McDonald's today.
Wendy's deal is the best in that Wendy's allow customers to swap out the fries with another side (I do chili). Also, my Wendy's still offer a $4 meal with the Jr Cheeseburger ( aka 444). Today in app, free chili at Wendy's with any purchase.
Got to open the burgers and nuggets to see the size to be able to do a true comparison. You could even weigh them. That will tell you better information.
$5 can't be picky & can't go wrong, the beef burger alone be near $5..
Correct! Get a scale and weigh the food items to determine the mass!
I'm assuming this is in the United States. Here in Ontario (Canada) the Whopper Jr. is $5 by itself, for crissake
And it's the size of a breakfast sandwich now. Ridiculous.
But is that Canadian money? Not the same value in USD. $5 Canadian is $3.65 USD
It use to be 3.99 just cause they added a soda they raised the price ridiculous
I went to MDs and I got lg drink as well. They asked what sz . I said the one that comes with the deal and they said we upgrade the drink no extra charge

The better deal is to go to a Chinese restaurant and get a lunch deal for $8.99. You can probably get two or three meals out of it depending on how hungry you are McDonald’s Wendy’s Burger King we need to boycott these companies and put them out of business permanently and then restart the fast food industry in the United States for sure
Thank you for displaying each value meal. I do miss the "old" McDonalds, when menu items were sufficiently sized and tasty. I haven't been to either of the 3 restaurants in over 3 years. I gradually lost interest as prices rose and portion size and quality slid.
I, wish the burgers were exposed.

Imagine that, McD's forgot to give you the sauce for your nuggets. I'm sure that's a first.
It would be good if the calories per meal was included so you could tell which meal gave you the most fuel if you are on a tight budget.
If McDonald's offered the bacon mcdouble maybe, but the other two are more versatile and flexible.
Sometimes the bacon mcdouble is with the 2 for $4. Then get another item separately.
Here's my take from a junk food junkie...
McDonald's size drink; Burger King french fries and Whooper Jr.; Wendy's nuggets.
And as a CEO said recently, if it weren't for having all of the chain's franchisees agree with the $5 cost long term, then this wouldn't be a 'limited time only' deal this summer. So we'll see the impact, if it starts luring back customers, then it might actually be there for a longer period of time.

Chick fila gives a free breakfast on Tuesday mornings but you must ask for it! They wont offer it to you. I think Wendys is 1, McDonalds is 2 and BK is 3.
I live in Sonora Ca. I went to McDonalds today...if you get the chicken sandwich it is 5.00, however I ordered the double cheeseburger and it was 6.00, and I was charged for dipping sauce! I won't go back. We now have a Wendys, I think I will go there instead.
For about a dollar more, you can get cheese sauce for your fries or nuggets!

you get a free 12oz drink. But you do need to ask. So you can get some extra drink.

I got the McDonald's meal yesterday and they do give you the big drink. I wouldn't go back they were packed and I don't even eat there.The burger and soda were good but I doubt I go back. I might one more time but never around lunch time again.
Be careful what you wish for. If they were nice to you, they would have given you water.

They're all pretty much equal to me. I think Wendy's nuggets taste better and at Wendy's you can substitute the drink for a small frosty but their burger is very small. At Burger King their drink is tiny but their whopper Jr is pretty good and has lettuce and tomatoes. So taking everything into account I think they are all pretty equal

Too much processed food, it makes my joints hurt , just looking at it. I haven’t eaten in a restaurant since New Year’s Day, a way to avoid pain, diabetes(which my older brother died from 10years ago at 57), clogged arteries and high blood pressure. Eating ketovore changed my weight losing, 45 pounds and PAIN GONE. Take good brand of vitamin supplements, because of osteoporosis.
I will go hungry before I will ever eat at McDonald's again. Yuck

coke subsidized the deal so maybe why large drink. Wendys had the 4 for 4 for a decade so 25% increase over 10 years not too bad.

I like Wendy’s but the Whopper Jr. makes me pick Burger King over all of them.
The McDonald's it should be a small drink, but you can upsize the drink to the large for like 20-30 cents. Worth it!

The McDonald's wins for me as I like their drinks more. You can upgrade to any of the drinks for a price. I have been waiting for a meal like this. Some times I want a burger, small fry AND just a couple of nuggets. Not a big fan of BK whopper juniors or of the Wendy small burger. Bigger sandwiches, sure. But not of the little ones.
I don't like the Wendy's small burgers. I find the buns very stale which ruins the taste. I think it is because they hardly sell any of the "Junior" burgers because if someone just asks for a cheeseburger they get the larger Dave's single , so the buns are left out and get old.
The Wendy's in my area smells gross. I only go there for the Frostie's. Burger King's Nuggets and fries are not good. McD's?..It's okay. $5.00 isn't too bad for prices for this day and age.

Rarely eat fast food, God knows what's in it. The quality has gone down.
Thanks for doing that, I guess they all followed the Dollar Tree’s example and upcharge by a quarter per item now, still only getting maybe $2 worth of food, but sometimes you gotta do whatcha gotta do, I rarely eat from those places, but in a pinch it is nice knowing you can get basically the amount of food in a kids meal for $5 those burgers are pretty pathetic, I’d go for the chicken/cellulose sandwich I guess.

I prefer BK. You could have weighed all the food on the plates without wrappers to see by weight which has more food.

So, they're all the same. If you really wanted to compare I suppose you could weight out each of the items to see where your best deal is (most food for the money), but who's going to do that? End of day, go to the place you like the best and hopefully the food will be hot and fresh. But doubtful, because....fast food.

Wendy's fries are terrible, always cold and soggy, their hamburger patties are thinner then McD's and McD's has the better nugs. I don't even consider BK as they are the worst FF place around these days.

McDonald’s always give the extra large soda with the meals
5 for 5 would make more sense. Also, if the nuggets at BK were "My Way" they wouldn't be all grease soaked and dark brown.
