Literally was about to buy this myself. I have small traditional locs and have been watching reviews of it and every reason they gave for not liking it sold me lol.

Creme of nature is still one of the best shampoo scents on the market...
I tried this shampoo on my microlocs, and unfortunately it’s a no for me. Although it has a great smell and is easy to apply to the scalp with the nozzle, this shampoo did not foam very well. My microlocs also did not feel clean, even after a third wash.
My favorite clarifying shampoo for my locs is the Kinky Curly Come Clean. However, I believe I’ll follow up with the Carol’s Daughter shampoo as a moisturizing shampoo after each wash. So thanks for sharing!

Also tried it, have it at home right now, don't like it at all. It does not do much for my locs and it felt a bit dry afterwards. No foam at all, definitely a no!
I'm going to buy this for sure, because I use Free The Roots, and their shampoo bar is amazing and I highly recommend it, because it's All natural without any fragrances and such only thing is, it's a soap bar and it tends to go out fast, so I'll get this for as a fill in when I don't have any more of there soap bars on hand. I just wish this didn't have any fragrances 😂 it would've been perfect

If it was my hair I would put it on my baby locs, but I was a rebel lol. I dyed my locs before I was one year in lol. I'm not a loctician, but if your hair is similar to mine, I think using it on your baby locs will be fine. I have thick, 4c low porosity hair.

Started using Carol's Daughter Rose Water Delight on my 4c natural hair for years before I got locs. Now I use it on my micolocs. Love❤❤this shampoo. I used some of their other products on my hair and my hair did not like the products.
Hmmm. Never liked Carols Daughter before I was locked. I’m still using the Sisterlock shampoo, but I’ll try this shampoo you recommend. Hope it works for me as well.
I couldn't stand that stuff on my loose natural hair lol! There were a few butters I liked, but for the most part I thought it was trash lol.
Ooh I saw this video and was tempted to try this product...until I contacted Carol’s Daughter regarding the pH of the product. Their response purposefully avoided giving an actual pH or pH range. Glad you found your holy grail, but I’m gonna sit this one out lol.

Thank you for sharing this. I was going to buy this shampoo at the start of the pandemic. I remember standing in Walgreens for about 15 min trying to decide if I should buy it. I didn’t buy it and I am mad that I didn’t because they had a really good sale that day. I’m sure I will find that sale again, but you sold me. I really wanted it because of how liquidity it was. Yes, it also reminded me of the SL Shampoo. Can’t wait to try it.

Wow!! I just picked this up for my daughter's natural 4c hair. I have sisterlocks, I guess I have to go to this local store that gets damaged items in and buy another bottle. I have to borrow my daughter's bottle. I live in a rural area and hardly any Black hair products. Thanks for sharing.

It's hard for me to remember exactly what my hair felt like with the sisterlocks shampoo, because it has been so long, but if I am remembering correctly it does give a similar feel. The fragrance is stronger than many shampoos. It smells like a very clean scented perfume. For me the scent was pleasant, but I could see it being overpowering for people who do not care for stronger scents.

Thank you so much for this info! I’ve been all over the place trying different shampoos for my locs. To get your perspective who’s a black woman with locs is all I need to confirm to me that this is the shampoo I’ll use. Would you recommend the conditioner of carols daughter? I’m considering getting the bundle of the same kind on Amazon.
Also, I’m considering using the “as I am” rice water shampoo/conditioner/oil. Also I’m interested in getting other different oils from “as I am” like the Argan oil and black castor oil. Would you recommend that brand too? I would switch from the two

Hi! Thank you so much! I’ve never used the Carol’s Daughter conditioner on my locs, but I’ve used it on my son’s loose hair. It definitely works on his loose natural hair. I mainly use the Dr. Locs spray leave in for conditioner on my locs. I’ve also never used as I products yet.
1 year lock anniversary in Jan 2022 and I’m over the sisterlock brand shampoo… thanks for posting this it’s only $9 on Amazon .. 💦

I'm a couple months in and ran out of the SL starter shampoo but wasn't obsessed with it so I decided to see if diluting my leftover Suave Mint and Rosemary would work... that was no bueno haha. So I switched to Dr Bronner's and really like that so far. But I'm curious to know who made your cut for the rest of your top 5!

You’re welcome! I love Dr. Locs leave in conditioner. I don’t use wash out conditioner at this time.

Hi Renee =) I used the sisterlocks shampoo on my starter locs. All hair is different, but if I was to start my hair over I would use this on my starter locs.

Hi ! I don’t know where you live, but where I live none of the shampoos I mentioned in this video were over 15 American Dollars. I’ve never spent 100 dollars on shampoo.
It sounds like you may be referring to another form of currency. To his his own. I can’t tell someone else what’s expensive to them, but for me and my budget these shampoos work.
