DIY CNC Router Build - RoboCNC X2 (RCNCX2)
So in preparation of the CNC Plasma build I have to have a coolant resistant spoilboard.
In this short video I’m changing out the MDF for a HDPE spoilboard.

👌nice Job Marcel 👍looking forward to the next Videos 👍
Thanks !
Great video, you do very good work.
Thanks a lot ! Hope you follow along with the next build
I love it. HDPE will work fine as a fixture plate / spoil board. I have one out of acetal since quite some time and it holds up just fine...
Thanks ! Just don’t make to many mistakes 😂
Great vid, thanks for sharing. In the movie @4:50, you're using the wrong output of your toolsetter; it's now wired to the endstop/error output, the first one is more accurate and this second one is usually wired into the e-stop circuit. It's now at the limit of its travel, it should only be pushed in minimal in order to detect the tool.
Thanks for sharing ! I didn’t know there were two :)
The way I make it is I do exactly the same as you, but I don't flatten the waste board directly. I glue a 2mm plexiglass on top of it with a regular silicone, and then flatten the plexiglass.. And when there is too much marks on it, you can peel it off really easily and for some reason, all the silicone stays on the top part, on the plexi and there is absolutely no cleaning needed.. And then you just glue a new one on top and the main wasteboard always stays intact..
Thanks for sharing ! Sounds like a great way to! And eventually that will be less expensive then the thick HDPE.
I hope you don't mind me saying, but the second you hammered in and out those profiles, the parallelism of the Y's went down the drain......
You’ll need a bigger hammer for that, but thanks for your concern 🙏🏻
