    Could you test Gearbox Pro Control? And compare it to the Gearbox Pro Power. Thank you!

    Great review. I own both, and alternate play between the two.Your review said everything I've been thinking.

    It is more head heavy than the DBD…I have both paddles, and us gals who like a light swing weight for hand battles notice this. I agree with you on all your other details.

    • @nadzoll
      @nadzoll 7 місяців тому

      And Luca, don't you think grittier paddles are the future? So many players are obsessed with spin, and the Ruby has that amazing grit! Do you know of other paddles with this type of aggressive grip?

    Dammit! I didn't want another paddle but after watching this video I now want the RUBY 🤦🏾. Great content, thanks for sharing

    Between the two, I can’t get over the fact that the Ruby looks a lot nicer.

    How’s the paddle face holding up now? Still has the grippy texture? Also a lot of reviews don’t really talk about how “dirty” the face gets and not to use a eraser on it. Your thoughts on that?

    Playing on wet courts is not a good thing to do! Asking for injuries to occur!

      I gotta say, once you're used to it, it's really not that bad! You gotta find a way to play in Vancouver 😅

    How does the best paddle shop in Canada not have an indoor facility close to it, the videos just dont hit the same without watching your insane skills. What paddle shops really need is their own in store court so you can demo paddles right then and there even just a skinny singles setup would be mint... then again I live in Ontario and paddle shops with good stock are non existent yet we have indoor and outdoor facilities out the ying yang somethings just never make sense. Oh if i had a million dollars LOL.

    ruby is better...I used the DBD for 6 months then went to Ruby for the past 7 months ...then on a whim, i pulled out the DBD and was totally disappointed...no pop or power at all compared to my Ruby....I am going to sell both of my DBD's....i was actually shocked because I loved the DBD

    Why doesn't anyone talk about the black diamond power anymore? I have one on order, should I have gone with a Ruby or DBD?

  • @henry0712
    @henry0712 7 місяців тому +1

    Great review. I currently play with the DBD and it's darned near perfect, for me. It doesn't have the "ball sinking in" feel, that I love and which makes it easier, for me, to generate more spin. Sounds to me like the Ruby is even closer to perfection, and will be my next paddle, when the DBD wears out. Thanks!

    • @RacketsandRunnersPickleball

      Thank you! Give it a shot for sure; even though it gives that sensation of more plushness, it's still just as responsive.

    Great review. Your review is on point. However, the Ruby I have doesn’t have near as much pop as the DBD. Feels really plush with good power on regular strokes.

    Your explanation is very well done. I would you to how compare the SIxzero Ruby to the Volair Mach II Forza ? Thanks Steven

    • @RacketsandRunnersPickleball
      @RacketsandRunnersPickleball  6 місяців тому

      Thank you! The Ruby is a bit more plush and much more stable due to the shape. The Mach II Forza is much more maneuverable.

  • @bighank99
    @bighank99 2 місяці тому

    You glossed over it, but the difference in swing weight made the Ruby a bit more head heavy, and thus a bit slower in hands battles at the net.

    I keep waiting for them to develop a ball that works well on hartru so we can get some clay court PB going. I mean you can do it but its not quite right with traditional balls.

      Luca quick question. In your apes S review you mentioned you put lead tape. That is .5 grams by inch or 1.0 gram by inch. Thank you

    That was a fantastic comparison. You are a fantastic reviewer. However I was more memorized of your play on that wet court. With that slipping and sliding you got me thinking that perhaps Pickelball could become a winter sport and we could play it on ice with skates .

    How would you compare Ruby to the BD (or more specifically BD Amethyst JMV)? Coming from the Filth, I found the Ruby too soft/plush when resetting in the transition zone and dinking but enjoyed the spin on ground strokes and speed ups and increase in power from back in the court.

    • @RacketsandRunnersPickleball
      @RacketsandRunnersPickleball  7 місяців тому +1

      I haven't played enough with the BD to say concretely, but it definitely has more pop and a slightly more springy feel to it.
