Really careful not to apply earlier than the 28 days before hitting the 5year mark but bearing in mind the biometrics may take another 2-3weeks after the online application.

If no, when will he qualify to apply for his own ILR and will he have to extend his current visa which I believe expires on December 4, 2023 as it is in your lead applicant BRP???

Once he’s 5 years in the uk and meet the other requirements , he can apply . If ILR expires he can renew and wait till 5 years of being in the uk.
