As the family ragdoll joined us ... she was very quiet, basically chirping melodically. Now she turned 23 years old and has decided to scream periodically at a very loud level. This began at 19-20 years old. She's on a great hairball probiotics and does much better. She likes to cuddle every day. Another friend's 19 yr old ragdoll female cat started screaming too as she got older. Wondering if they can't hear or may be having a cognitive hiccup and thus a bit scared.
My little 6 month old raggie has the cutest meow. Its a sweet squeak type meow I think she does to get attention. Cause you put her in a room by herself she gets loud. But still she sounds like a rabbit more than a cat. lol. Different from any other Ragdoll I’ve seen and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Cause when she squeaks at you your heart just melts. 🥰. In two weeks she’s getting a buddy. A little male blue bi color. I can’t wait!
My 4 month old ragdoll girls have recently found their voices! It’s really helped hearing about everyone’s kitties, as I was concerned at first and thought I wasn’t feeding them enough or were they cold, or we they unhappy. So thanks you’ve put my mind at rest now. Dolly has really started meowing at night, I’ve always had my bedroom door shut, should I just leave her? X
I have a fluffy calico ragdoll and a very vocal but softer vocal male ragdoll X tabby who’s eyes are not ragdoll but his colour aside from markings and his certain fur characteristics and personality are very ragdoll male temperament more than tabby . His eyes were very blue and turned golden as he reached a few months old. Is this common in tabby X ragdolls?
I have a 4 year old female seal point mitted ragdoll. Her game is Mollye Mittens. She is extremely vocal, interacts with me and follows me all day. She is a perfectly marked, beautiful, amazing cat. So loving. I got her from a breeder who retired and discarded her. I gave her a new forever home and now she has lots of love. I am thinking about adopting another. I’m in love with ragdolls.
My 12 yr old Sid Vicious is very very vocal, esp when he wants gravy or to go out on his leash, or is just waking up, or wants to know where we are. I think mine understands English bc when I tell him to do something, like “go eat, if you’re hungry” or “ you need to do your job and get rid of these mice”, bc he DOES these thing for me right after we discuss. Never would think this could happen.
My Ragdoll is a female and about 14 years of age or a little older. Just this past year she's beginning to beg for food in the middle of the night. Being an insomniac has made it difficult for me. I've decided to place her dried food close to her sleeping quarters. During the day, she receives controlled amounts.
very cute, beautiful furry friends😻😻 I love everyone who loves cats 😻😻😻 😻😻 I also feed stray cats every day. Together with my friends, we are trying to protect and neuter cats. I will spread this all over the world 🙏 I want a world where cats can live freely and happily. Don't let cats go hungry
I'm happy Ragdolls do actually meow. I'm about to move into a new house so i can finally adopt one but i was concerned about the breed being described as quiet. It's the first time I'll be living without housemates so I need some sound in the house 😂
One of my Ragdolls, Cheyanne, cries everytime I leave. She also cries loudly with a toy in her mouth. She brings me toys every night. She has gone through a stage where it's 5 toys per night and I wake up to a trail of toys from my bed down the hall. Our largest Ragdoll has the quietest and sweetest meows. My other boy begs for treats at the pantry door and talks and cries outside the door if I take a bath. He can't wait to get in and roll in the wet tub.
Our Merlin is pretty quiet. EXCEPT while we are preparing his food. He meow starts off quiet and then becomes louder and louder by the second. It sounds so desperate and whiney. You'd think we never feed him! xD
Both Naki and Shera are super vocal 😅 they talk to each other and to us. But they have this super cute special chirping noise they do when they are inviting each other to play.
My ragdoll is very vocal, when ever i go near my door or when he's alone and I'm in the bathroom, when he's playing with his toy or even running around the house. He meows more then my other cats.
I have a mum cat and her kitten and they both take it upon themselves in the morning to be my personal alarm I haven’t needed to set one for a good year now or so now 😅 but wouldn’t want it any other way 🤣😂!
Unfortunately I'm having to get rid of my ragdoll. From the second we picked up our male ragdoll kitten, he cried the entire 1.5 hour drive home despite us fussing him and stoping etc to settle him. We got him settled at home and he was a little better but the crying and miaowing continued, it was so bad, after 2 years, we got him a 3 year old female ragdoll to keep him company. Unfortunately it didn't really stop his meowing and crying and they used to fight a lot and he was huge compared to her so used to be really rough with her and we were released worried he'd hurt her, she also used to poo and wee all over the kitchen floor and if the bathroom door was accidentally left open, she would poo in the shower and floor and in the bath! It was terrible, we tried separate trays, covered ones etc but nothing would stop her. After 1 year together we had to get rid of the girl and he was still the same, non stop meoowing even though he's gets unbelievable amounts of attention from us and kids. He will follow us round house meowing, he will meow everytime you enter of leave a room, everytime you make eye contact, everytime you speak to him, he will meow to be picked up and carried round like a baby, as your cleaning etc then hell meow to be put down, hell meow for a fuss but then meow for you to stop, he will meow for you to play but then he can't be bothered to play so just watches you play, he will cry at any door if any are closed or if you go in shower or bathroom. He shrieks everytime you go in kitchen and he's in there, over and over and over at his bowls which are full of water and piled with biscuits 24/7 because otherwise he panics and gets frantic. He sometimes cry's to go outside but then, he goes round the garden shrieking, then hides under a car and shrieks over and over and over and over and over for an hour sometimes but I will open the door and shout him, to let him in, but he won't move just sits for an hour shrieking in a blind panic because he hates the rain, bcold and wind, then if you try and get him he won't come. Then when he eventually comes back in the house he is absolutely frantic and upset, he will cry for hours, all over the house, there's nothing you can do to console him at all. He's not even 4 years old but it's absolutely unbearable now. We've tried treating him when he's quiet but that made him even worse and shrieks for treats now too!. It's like torture now, I work shifts too and can't sleep in daytime properly because I need the bedroom door shut to keep noise down, and he will cry at the door, scratching it and the carpets pulling up big chunks! Unfortunately there's nothing we can do to make him happy despite all the love he gets 😭
“Dr Elsie’s cat attract” litter for the litter issues, it totally fixed my male ragdoll after years of problems and years of fixes that never worked. Also have you tried feliway for anxiety or composure treats for high strung cats that never shut up? Bc these things do help mine. I learned fast that my cat was not a normal relaxed ragdoll. Doesn’t like to be picked up, hates all other people, just a grouch. Haha kinda like me.

I just got my ragdoll two days ago, and he always meows & chirps & makes all sorts of weird noises when he gets in his litter box.
Oh yeah I remember when they used to do that all the time in the litter box! They still do occasionally but mostly grew out of it 🐾💕

My baby kitten loved your video, feels like he was having a chat with Bluebell!
Aww that's awesome!💗

My Birmans are VERY vocal too; especially when lonely or hungry.
Great video! Are your kitties still super vocal? My rag is about to be 2 and could talk all day if he could
My rag doll kitten meows constantly and if I don’t give him what he wants he gets annoyed and rejects my strokes
I have two ragolls kitten, the female is quiet and delicate , the male is loud and like a clown.
Sounds furmiliar 😂💕🐾

Oh my... that's so funny! 😂 Reminds me, Bluebell used to do that when he was little! He kept bringing us toys at night! 🥰
My ragdoll is also very talkative, it also surprised me a lot the first days but it is very funny
They do really make us laugh a lot too! 💗🐾
Our Merlin is pretty quiet. EXCEPT while we are preparing his food. He meow starts off quiet and then becomes louder and louder by the second. It sounds so desperate and whiney. You'd think we never feed him! xD
Hahah so funny!! Bluebell sometimes meows at the front door... So loud... if someone heard him through the door, they could think he's being abused 🙈
We have two Ragdolls and commonly shout at them saying RAGDOLLS ARE MEANT TO BE QUIET! ARE YOU A SIAMESE? 😂
😂
Both Naki and Shera are super vocal 😅 they talk to each other and to us. But they have this super cute special chirping noise they do when they are inviting each other to play.
So cute! 🥰
i have to wait another four months for my ragdoll because all of the cats were reserved. how did you guys aid in waiting?

my 4 month ragdoll is very vocal
🐾💗
I know I am late and my comment isn't related to the video but....
What breeds are your ragdolls ??
Ragdoll is the name of the breed :)
London is only 4 mos and she does the meow face but so faint! Noise hardly comes out! I kinda wish she would chat!
Ahhh so cute! She might grow into her voice! 💕
My Himalayan Cotton is not really chatty but if she wants attention she sure lets u know😻🙀😸
🤣 they definitely know how to get humans attention! 🐾🙈
I don’t mean for this to sound awful but in future videos , can we just see the cute rag dolls than the couple?
Hi Guys. Our two ragdoll boys are super vocal. When they don’t sleep you will know😂😂
Hey! Sounds familiar! 😂
My ragdoll is sooooo noisy :) I've had to lock her out of the room because she doesn't want to let me sleep in on weekends!
Too much commentary spoiled the video 😢😢😢
