I would never let my ragdoll outdoor without being on a harness and leash! Too many dangers and nasty people out there! I agree with you - people would pinch these trusting cats!
The toilet thing is most cats tbh, if you shut the door (i never do this, years of owning cats) they instantly want to know what you are doing behind it that they're not allowed to see. Most of my cats have been inquisitive, or prefer sleeping on the bathmat/hotwater pipe, so they're already in there waiting to keep you company - they are my preferred sort of toilet attendant. Also my Ragdoll is utterly useless at jumping, not bad across the way but jumping up is not his Forte, he's unable to get onto kitchen counters and I've put a step-stool next to my desk so that he can supervise my work, take part in meetings, snooze on my mousemat, and pretend he's a penguin (sits on the mouse).
Mine is 17 and I will say his fur got more mat prone as he aged and after our other cat passed cause she wasn’t around to clean his back for him. He also isn’t as vocal as yours. I think Siamese are more vocal in my experience.
My 3.5 month old ragdoll is not very easy going. She has A LOT of energy and can exhibit quite a lot of play aggression if we don't play at least 4 times a day (I never use my hands or feet). She also hates being picked up. I love her, treasure any affection I earn and am a happy (if sometimes frustrated) cat mom. But she breaks pretty much every breed trait
@@queenbee7074 no i didnt, I just threw the ball and he brought it back... he doesnt do it to any sort of ball tho.. he loves a soft flluffly one that is easily able to put in his mouth
I am at home 24 hours so I have a happy kitty! If I worked full time or even part time, I would have adopted two kitties - I defo agree with you that ragdolls, and any animal, needs company xxx
Our cats sit up for treats and come when my husband whistles. 4 of our 6 Ragdolls have played fetch and my 5 year old female brings me toys every night when I sleep. She brings me 5 but not always the same five toys. Females tend to pick a favorite person even though they like others. Males tend to like others. My female is attached to me so I don't feed her. I let my husband feed her and she has become more attached to him over time.
We already payed the deposit for ragdoll kitten and will get her home in 2 months, so now we are kind of preparing our home for the arrival of our future master. Do ragdolls tend to push stuff from the furniture? I noticed in another video (about making rooms to be safe for cats) that you have for example a mirron on a shelf or table, do they try to push it down and break it? Asking so I decide what stuff to leave on shelves and what remove to boxes. Is it true that a cat won't jump on a shelf that is too occupied by stuff and the cat has no place to land there?
Hey Jana! Sorry for a late response! Generally, before the kittens' arrival, we hid items that would be dangerous for the kittens but left any larger or heavier items, because that way the cats just saw these as part of the room, table etc. The only things that our cats tend to throw off the shelves are round, so any fruit just lying on the counter would probably end up on the floor 😂 But other than that, they are not that interested in smashing glasses etc. When it comes to jumping up, I think it is mostly true. Pixie ALWAYS checks out the spot she wants to jump on, making sure there's enough space. Bluebell on the other hand sometimes jumps onto the kitchen counter where we dry dishes and sometimes barely fits on the side (it is probably because the stuff on top changes a lot). Both of them always check the bath before jumping in, making sure it's not full or really wet inside! Hope this helps 💗
I’m so in love with ur guys Chanel honestly thank u I have a question do u feed ur ADORABLE cats only pork raw food or do u use anything other than pork THANK U SO MUCH I really hope I get to meet u and ur cats one day
Correction in the raw diet: This is important to understand for people who feed a raw diet (for which in a proponent of). All predators naturally ready the stomach first in their prey. This is because most canines and felines CANNOT digest cellulose and some other matter, so they eat the half digested vegetable matter if it's prey. So, if you're feeding a raw diet, it is good to include things like peas, eggs, yogurt (helps with digestive enzymes), pumpkin (staves off diarrhea), kale or alfalfa. Keep it mainly meat, but don't exclude everything else all together.
I’ve watched a couple of your videos and I think you two are cute and lovely ☺️ Your cats are also lovely. I have wanted a rag doll cat for years... Thanks for the info x
My cat acts like a retriever dog. He goes to me and then I tell to go get her. My daughter says Meow Meow He then goes to my daughter. He runs to her even if she down stairs or running away. When he gets to my daughter she pets him then he comes back to me. I pet him. Then I again tell him to go get her my daughter calls out Meow Meow. They cycle contues. I don't let my cat in when I take a shower but he often waits for me to get out. He waits for me😸
I need advice for my kitten. We have had her for three weeks and she will not stop scratching the sofas shes got a pole which she plays on but not rlly scratch as much. She always chooses the sofas. Do u have any advice as to what i could do
tell the that the sofa is not a good place to scratch! you can put tape and cover the areas it scratches and he or she will realize that its not a good place to scratch and will probably move on to somewhere else like the pole.
As Martin said above, you can try to cover the sofa with something that won't be as interesting for her. Whenever she scratches the sofa, take her to the cat tree and show to scratch there, just using your fingers on the pole :) Also, make sure the scratching post is stable and she feels safe scratching on it! You can also play with a wand toy around the scratching post to get her to scratch on it during playtime.
PUt her scratch post in front of the bit she scratches, it's most likely she prefers the feel of the sofa or the height/position to whatever scratch post she has now so get something similar to stick in it's place and slowly move it away from the side of the sofa... also cover the sofa with antiscratch tape, or something else in the meantime while she changes what she scratches.
Martin Palmers £800 each - I’ve seen proper registered ones go for between £700 and £950. You can get cheaper online but I’m happy to pay more for health guarantees, getting their certificates etc.
Martin Palmers Hm. To me that seems like a high price, but there could be lots of factors as to why she was that expensive. Breeders charge more sometimes in London, or if you are going to breed or show the cat. I bet she is perfect and hopefully you think she’s worth every penny!
This makes me so excited! On a wait list for a Ragdoll🥰 getting one as an ESA. I hope to get a girl, anyone have experience with one? Are they kind and cuddly?
Hello from France ! I would have one more question : Does Ragdoll like water ? My boyfriend and I are so excited : we will welcome our little girl ( a rag of course) next month 🥰 we love all of your videos and it makes us more impatient ! 😬
We have had 6 Ragdolls and some love water and some don't. I have one right now that makes it impossible for me to relax in the bath as he howls to get in the bathroom while I'm in there. As soon as I get out of the tub or shower, he's in there rolling around.
Hey! So excited for you! 💗 We forgot about this one!! But as Debbie said, it depends, with our cats, Bluebell loves drinking from the tap or bath faucet and doesn't mind getting wet (he sits in paddles on the balcony with his tail soaking wet... 😅) whereas Pixie runs away when a drop of water hits the floor near her !
@@PixieandBluebell We have two that drink from the sink, one sits in while she drinks from the running water and the other one only puts his front paws in the sink and either drinks directly from the water or puts his paw in and licks it. We have a third that only drinks from a flower shaped fountain we have in the kitchen.

i'm getting a ragdoll soon, very useful
Natural cat food is insects, rats, mouses, birds....but we can't get them natural food in the house so the closest thing is raw cat food
Is that just juice you have or a cocktail!? LOL!

Older ragdolls or ragdolls with conditions like hyper thyroidism can develop matting . Just FYI
