What were your favorite Etsy purchases? I recently have purchased off Etsy and noticed the lesser quality. I do have one store so far that I like called Peacara. I love your reviews BTW
Thank you so much! ❤️ The fav purchases - one was a very simple red silk string bracelet and another was a gold filled double band wire ring. The simple things that I purchased on there seemed to be ok, but everything else always had some sort of flaw unfortunately..
I do love the size of the stone and the solitare band. But the prongs are off. I also didn't think moissanites got cloudy? Maybe they do. Maybe it just needs a good cleaning?
Moissanites alway look “cloudy” compared to diamonds, because of the way light refracts.. someone on Reddit summed it up perfectly. Here is what they said: “Here's a good visual comparison between moissanite vs. lab diamond. Both ovals. The larger stone is the diamond. imgur.com/a/j0Wj7Wh Note how the moissanite can have a cloudy/gray/milky look to it, in direct sunlight especially. The diamond also has a greater depth to it -- the sparkles look as if they were coming from deep inside the stone, flashing between dark and light, whereas it's harder to "see" deep into the moissanite. This effect is especially noticeable when the stone is bigger. In smaller moissanites, and in particular cuts (like round), the effect is not as noticeable.” I think this explains perfectly the difference between diamonds and moissanites
