Great video Josh!
I too have the same setup...same loose sloppy issue at the bottom wing tube supports.
I ran a 3/4" or maybe it was a 5/8" all thread rod completely through the blade and extensions putting a nut at each end thwn tightened.
I also drilled small hole for a hardened cotter pin at each nut. Just to be sure the nuts would not fall off.
The wings are tight to the blade.
I run the 60” blade and I added another spring lock pin to the left side to help keep the twisting outa the blade mount when im pushing heavy wet snow. Makes a serious difference!
I take it back...I used a solid steel rod as above and welded a thick washer at one end...threaded the other end to put a nut and washer on using a cotter pin to keep the nut from backing off.
I already have mine fixed! Video of my idea will be out soon… can you send a pic of what you did to my email? If ya want I can include it in the video as another idea for people to use if it is easier. Sounds like a little less fab work is required. If ya want just get it to me in the next day or two, and I can add it.
@@JoshsGreenGarage I will get photo's to you!
@@JoshsGreenGarage pics were sent to your email yesterday
wow!Cant wait for your first "plowing action" videos.:)
I got one from last winter coming out soon, but it’s only with the 54”… hopefully soon I’ll get a ton of snow and a good 72” video!!!
@@JoshsGreenGarage sounds great,thanks!:)
It’s been a year since you posted the video. What do you think of the the ens ions now? Are they good?
They are alright. They work as intended, and I’ve had no issues. If I had it to do over again though (and been in the states at the time), I would have gone with the CTA plow for bigger size and more weight. But if you are a JD purist, then I think they are fine. My only complaint is how they done secure to the plow at the bottom. They do have a thick bar that slides into the angle on the plow though for strength. I just think it could have been done better.
