I have no sympathy for all of you people because Ojukwu warned all of you people young people about what is happening to Igbos in Lagos, we Igbos lost their properties during and after the Biafran war, my father lost 3 properties in Lagos, Igbos lost their properties in Kano, Port Harcourt, Ibadan, in all parts of the North, all over Nigeria, Igbos were warned, Igbos will never learn, we who are old have been telling you young people, we experienced the same thing after the war, Ojukwu came to Lagos before he died he warned everyone but Ndigbo will never learn, lamb to the slaughter

It is time for Africa to repent for selling us into slavery. If not, they will never know peace no matter how hard they try. My Ancestors were stolen and sold their lands kept by those devils who sold us. Up until today some of the formerly enslaved don't own land where they were shipped to. Nigeria and Ghana have blood on their hands. The tears of my ancestors will continue to cry out for justice and judgement. No justice no peace to all who were involved in the slave trade. It beats me how this man paid $17M for an immovable property in a place in Nigeria outside Igboland. Also went ahead to spend another 10s of $M to develop the place.
If an Igbo man/woman did not experience the Biafran war, did not read up on it to know what happened to our people, their properties and businesses before, during and after the war, what has been happening to the Igbos living and doing businesses in others parts of Nigeria, over the years, is more than enof to teach every Igbo man/woman to have their main investments in Igboland, limit or even shun investing anywhere in Nigeria outside Igboland.
With just $10M, he could have bought and developed to int'l standards, a beach property inside Igboland. WILL OTHERS LEARN? Even he himself still have his eyes on Lagos to "...develop something even bigger and better..." OK

One doesn't need a business school training to know that choice of business location is not just about numbers and stats (Revenue and profit margin) but also, equally importantly, about the political undercurrents to guarantee safety of the investment and revenue stream.
Other people make their homelands the HQs of their businesses and only invest minimally in business opportunities outside their homeland, and invest only what they can afford to lose. That's how the Americans, British/Europeans, Chinese, Indians, etc all do.
It's only onye-Igbo that will just see business opportunity is a foreign land and pronto, he has seen "his promised land" and will proceed to invest all he has and even build a home there. I can bet that this Paul Onwuanibe does not have a kobo investment in Igboland.
Yes Nigeria being a country is suppose to be a homeland for Nigerians but the Yorubas and Hausa-Fulanis, that only live and thrive on political patronage, have entrenched themselves in power and do not want it that way.
Playing tribal politics, dividing Nigerians by ethnic groups, making Nigeria just an aggregation of homelands where fellow Nigerians are not welcome in other parts of Nigeria, is their go-to strategy to hold on to power and hold Nigeria down.
Onye-Igbo that chooses to ignore this, and thinks investing money in properties and businesses outside Igboland, gives them ownership rights over same will always come back in tears.

Landmark should have built the thing in Port Harcourt. Next time he should build it in Port Harcourt, or Aba or Onitsha waterfronts. He will still make money. People will come from all the states in the Eastern region, plus tourists from abroad and other Nigerian states. He should make sure to build at least a Sixteen floor hotel by his waterfront Eastern location.
