You can definitely get by with Fixed Wireless. We're getting C Band with AT&T mostly outdoors now. Verizon C Band is also expanding, and T-Mobile N41 is all over the place here.
Verizon (very suprisingly) added B48 CBRS in my area, and I live nowhere near a large city, it's quite rural. The site that got B48 was always very slow. At night it got 35Mbps and in midday, it was a struggling 2Mbps. Now I can get 215Mbps when connected to CBRS which now matches the speeds of AT&T 5G n5+4G LTE at 220Mbps. Both still are quite behind T-Mobile in speeds with their site in that area reaching 1.1Gbps+ on n41. T-Mo 4G reaches 250Mbps from the same site.
Note: Only T-Mobile and AT&T have any kind of 5G in my area. Verizon's nearest 5G site is ~25minutes away by Interstate going 70mph

Talked to Verizon via a "secure live chat" basically on their coverage map at my address we are suppose to be getting 5G which we aren't. And for the past few days in the area it's been slow speeds. What ended up happening is I reset the network settings, didint do anything. They then told me the only way they can get a team out to investigate is for me to COMPLETELY factory reset my phone which I didint want to do. That's rhe part I don't understand. Used to get 50 60mbps but got that so I just feel like this whole thing was a waste of time.
It keeps going from 3ca 10,10,15 to 10,15 and 10,15,5 getting about less than 5 mbps so now. not sure what's going to happen
I would say they are doing upgrade to n77 same happen at my house
Could be the siting going down or congestion.
Damn well let's hope they do the same and add mmWave to it as well😂
If they put mmwave on your tower would switch to fix wireless from Verizon?
I don't think it would reach, too much range to cover. If they had a node that served my home, it would be a consideration based on pricing.
Why they kept the CDMA antenna swap that for mmwave panels or B2/b66 panels. Also those toothpick panels are old asf

Why are carriers replace 5G antennas and radios, assuming it's not broken, when they're still building out? It doesn't make sense to me why, when they're trying to expand coverage, they keep replacing gear.
New gear creates more capacity and improves spectral efficiency. Spectrum is the limiting factor.
T Mobile upgraded a keep site near my office, within the last month it was redone again. The new gear sit up a bit higher now.
I've not seen this configuration in my area, just the two large panels plus the C band panel.
Consider yourself lucky! In my neighborhood in Columbia, Maryland T-Mobile has n41 and Verizon just turned on n77 last week but neither reach our home. Too many trees, I guess. I can get n41 if I go outdoors in the front yard. Verizon's n77 is a total no-go unless I move a block closer to the tower. I'm hoping once the trees go bare I might have better luck.
Too many trees? It's probably more a distance issue. Trees here are massive and dense growth, deciduous 🌳

Band 48 may get the 5g icon but it is not real 5G and never will , it has a max channel size of 20 mhz sure when NR carrier aggregation of 10x comes out it will be beneficial. But only 3 carrier nr is out now
