This was actually done withAvi, even though it’s dated on their channel from Matt times. They recorded it in 2016 not sure why they waited to post it. Maybe they needed permission.

Their arrangements are so good! You can hear all the ways they ingeniously change things up while always paying proper respect to the original songs. That being said, poor Ray Parker, Jr! First Huey Lewis sues him because this song is so similar to “I Want a New Drug,” and now PTX blows the whole thing away with their version! 😂 actually, I’m sure Ray is still getting plenty of residuals from this song, so maybe I shouldn’t feel bad for him. 😉

The first “Ghostbusters” movie was great. I watched the second, which wasn’t up to par, and I haven’t watched any of the later ones. But I would enthusiastically recommend the first one.

This is from the 2016 which was definitely includiing Avi, not Matt. There were three different versions of this song by three different artists. The PTX version was NOT included in the movie but was included on the soundtrack. Their version is better than the one that was chosen, but who knows why they producers chose to go that route.

It’s impressive because it’s all a cappella. Obviously you’re not a fan of them but they modernized the song and made current. They were asked to sing this to out on the soundtrack in 2016 with a bunch of other versions by other artists.

@@RosheenQuynh I just did. And still do. As a piece of art for itself it may be of some quality, but it has nothing, absolutely nothing of the vibe and feeling that made the original so iconic.
@@schnubbel76 That's the entire point of a cover though... it's not meant to be a replica of the original. It's supposed to pay homage AND form its own identity. And it does just that.
@@RosheenQuynh I heard covers wich were totally different in style and genre and a new interpretation but were STILL able to keep the "spirit" of the original. This here does not even manage to pay a little bit of hommage in the slightest in MY opinion.
